I love the cozy environment of this quaint Italian restaurant. The servers were very friendly and helpful. The Caprese salad was one of the best I've ever had, real olives that don't taste like supermarket jarred stuff. The pizza was woodfired and freshly made, I'm getting one all to myself next time! I'm not usually a fan of tomato sauce, but the spaghetti with seafood was fantastic! The tomatoes did not taste canned, the sauce was fresh, and all of the flavors had caramelized and melded together so wonderfully.

Good Italian restaurant in the middle of a residential area. I was happy with everything we had. Food came out quickly despite being very busy inside.

Random pizza place in the middle of a random mini strip mall on Como Lake by a residential area. Seriously, there's nothing else here other than a gas station. Had no idea this place even existed until my friend told me of its existence. The name means "double zero" in Italian. Parking is plentiful in the strip mall lot. I heard it can get full though, in which case there is street parking nearby. The place is new and modern, like the rest of the building. Staff are very friendly and professional. Definitely a nice touch. Special mention. Buddy and I felt quite welcome throughout the entire dinner. As an appetizer, they provide small slices of foccacia bread with the usual fixings (lobster oil, chili flakes, olive oil, balsamic vinegar). That got gobbled up. As of the time of writing, they were part of a multi-restaurant pizza competition. Doppio's entry (not on their current menu) is a carbonara pizza. Pizzas here are neopolitan (thin crust) style. Not sure what was in it other than sliced ham and what I assume is mozzarella. The staff come by and grate dried egg yolk on top as well. It was pretty decent. I also tried their contest winning boschetti pizza from last year (2023), which is now proudly included in their menu. Italian sausage (prosciutto?) slices, tomatoes, and other cheese goodies. Best to just read the menu. Both pizzas were a bit on the salty side, but that may just be because of all the cured meats. The bigger issue was that the pizzas were a bit wet/mushy in the middle - the cooking time needs to be slightly increased. Buddy and I had trouble moving the slices onto our plates without destroying the slices. Lastly, we also tried the (mushroom) ravioli tartufati (Italian for truffles). This was a recommendation from our server, and it hit the spot. Normally I'm leery of vegan dishes, but this was surprisingly good. Only complaint is that the dish is definitely on the saltier side, so I got super thirsty while eating this thing. Oh yeah, the mushroom sauce probably consists of 50% butter. Try not to think about your arteries clogging. The sauce does make a really good spread for the appetizer bread I must say. Overall I am quite impressed at the level of service and quality of food, other than the excessive saltiness. Personally I would place the pizzas a touch below the quality of Via Tevere and Marcello (both in Vancouver). In other words, can't really go wrong with this place if one is in the area, but there are other (better) options around town. With that said, I would eat here again.

We came here on Saturday for an early dinner around 4 pm. Found out they have a 90 mins time limit from 5 pm on weekends. We were told they would need the table by 6 pm. Service was hit and miss. Great in the beginning when it was not very busy and they took the time to inform us of the specials. Had to flag down server after dishes were served. They did not notice if the water glass requires topping up or if we need anything else. I had the pizza with wine poached pear, prosciutto and Gorgonzola. It was really good and it was big. I had to pack the leftover to go. The crust itself was a bit salty though it went well with my topping. I would think it could be salt overkill if the toppings were all salty type. Pro tip: I added hot honey to it at home after reheating it in the toaster oven. Delicious! My friend misread the description of the seafood pasta. Unfortunately she was limiting her tomato intake due to health reason and the pasta was in a light tomato sauce. She thought it was white wine based as that was in the description. I tried a bit of her pasta. It was cooked perfectly. Al dente spaghetti and the calamari was tender, not rubbery. It was not overly saucy which was nice. There are a few other dishes which look pretty good and I would want to come back to try. Parking is available at the plaza.

Excited to try out this Italian restaurant in Coquitlam. Staff were ok but required credit card when making reservations. Restaurant was clean and ambiance was nice. Caesar salad was amazing but pricey at $20. Bread was fresh. This is where the warning begins. The pastas and pizza were overly salty like someone dumped a bunch of salt in the dishes. It made it very difficult to eat. Pizza was cooked on the outside but the middle was way too undercooked and doughy. Save your money. Service was subpar and the dishes taking a while and not once did they ask us how the food was. It wasn't even busy. You are better off not spending that amount of money, and going elsewhere where.

This was our 2nd time at Doppio Zero. The pasta was incredible with a generous portion of meat. Lots of toppings on the pizza. We had a coupon that gave us a free dessert with entree, the pistachio cheesecake was 10/10 one of the best desserts I've had. Regularly priced $14, tasted even better since it was included with the coupon I'm sure. Nutella pizza was tasty but probably wouldn't order again as there are other desserts on the menu I'd rather try. Fantastic service.

We were in the area and decided to stop by this restaurant for lunch. We were seated right away with menus provided to us on the way to the table. We decided to order two pastas and one pizza to share. There was complimentary bread provided. Food arrived after a short wait. My ravioli was very good. Each ravioli was filled with mushroom and mascarpone. The creamy truffle sauce was rich and delicious. I took a bite of the tagliatelle and it was made well. The meat sauce was tasty. I tried a slice of the pizza and it was good. Crust was thin with a light layer of toppings. I think there could have been a couple more basil leaves. Service was good for the most part. I think the owner checked on us a couple times in addition to our server. I think the server was new to her job. She ended up entering $164 instead of $64 to the credit card machine. We caught that error while paying and it was corrected right away. Overall, I think this is a great Italian option in the area. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. I would return to try more pasta options.

So salty. How is it this salty...

This is the saltiest pizza ever. And I usually like salty food..this is inedible. Gross. I think the lid to the salt shaker fell off...

Bologna La Grassa (La Pizza Week 2022 offering) - wish they offered this on their regular menu as it was absolutely delicious! (May 2022)

Wow, this is some good pizza! I wanted to try their offering for the La Pizza Week 2022 promotion that was happening. I had passed by this place several times while getting doughnuts from Doughnut Love next door (also highly recommended!) and finally decided to try it out. Their pizza for La Pizza Week was the Bologna La Grassa and it contained ricotta cheese stuffed crust, pistachios pesto, Mortadella Bologna DOP, and fior di latte cheese. How I wish they would put this on this regular menu because it was so good! You could definitely taste how high quality the ingredients were and the flavors complimented each other so well. Plus, the ricotta cheese stuffed crust was to die for! The pizza had the perfect chew and leoparding. This place is legit and has such original flavors. I definitely want to try some of their other pizzas as they sound equally scrumptious. All in all, I highly recommend this place as it's one of the best pizzas I've had in Metro Vancouver.

Amazing service! Super friendly and even the manager came up to chat with us after most customers have left. A few different options for drinks and food and they all tastes delicious. Highly recommend and would definitely go back! Can't believe I've never noticed this place

We decided to try out this great new restaurant in our local area. 10 mins away and in a nice convenient location. Great decor, attentive servers and some big screens for the sports viewers. We had a great dinner and would go back again... Though I will not order the brushetta..it was pricey for bread and tomatoes at $12 for 3 pieces...hmmmm Our wine was reasonably priced and tasted crisp and refined. The Gelato Dessert was a nice finish up out meal stop.

Tortellini in cream sauce with sauteed mushrooms. It was the 'Special' for the day.

However, we really enjoy the food and coziness of the room so we have continued to make Henry's one of our regular dining experiences. We were going to make reservations for later this month when I noticed a line on their website saying that a 20% gratuity had been added to the bill. I thought that maybe it was a line that had been added on because of New Year's Eve or at that the prices on the menu now reflected the 20% gratuity and no further tipping would be required. My husband sent an email to Henry's asking them to clarify what the policy was. We received a response from Jasmine "20% will be add on. It does not refer only to groups but also to each individual consumer". Sadly, we will not be going to Henry's anymore. The food is very good but the prices are already very high. We were at a Seasons in the Park last night. Their prices are less than Henry's. The setting is nicer, service was outstanding and food is very bit as good as Henry's.

We walked into the restaurant without any customers. A server seated us right away. Her service was great knowing that it was our first time to eat here and letting us know what was special and what we should try. We ordered mussels with white wine, tomatoes and herbs as appetizers and our main dishes were Penne Alfredo and Linguine Pescatora. Penne Alfredo was just a simple dish of penne with white creamy sauce and Parmesan cheese, but OMG! It was extraordinarily delicious! Chef Henry could cook this simple dish so well that I could 100% guarantee it is hard to find such a good simple dish in Greater Vancouver. Linguine Pescatora was full of seafood (shrimps, mussels, clams, scallops, and calamari) in a light spicy tomato sauce. The seafood was fresh (not frozen ones) and the texture of linguine was firm and chewy. Everything was irresistible. We would love to visit this restaurant and try other dishes in the near future. It was worth a trip to come all the way to Port Moody and eat the pasta here. (This pasta restaurant was originally located in Vancouver West.).

We were given a few small pieces of bread with some thinly sliced meat, a tomato spread and a few pieces of Parmigianno Reggiano cheese. Hmmm...that was kind of different. Usually it's just bread with Olive oil & balsamic vinegar, or bread with some kind of spread. Adding the thinly sliced meat and the few pieces of cheese was a nice touch. I especially enjoyed the cheese! For our entrees my friend ordered Linguine e salmone, and I ordered Bucatini all Bomba. The Linguine e salmone came with a fairly large and thick piece of salmon. I was impressed with how generous the portion of salmon was for this dish. My dish was tasty but kinda paled in comparison next to the huge slab of salmon on my friend's plate. No fault of the restaurant as I had opted not to add any protein to my dish. I have a feeling if I'd added protein then there's a good chance I'd have ended up with a similar sized piece on my plate as well. Salmon for example would have cost an extra $14 to add to my dish. For that sum, I have a feeling it would be a pretty generous slab of salmon they'd be adding. I did very much enjoy the flavors of my dish. The portion of pasta looked a bit small upon first glance, but it was actually quite filling. I had just enough room after my pasta to order a Grappa Tiramisu for dessert, and as I don't come to Port Moody very often, I decided to splurge and order one. Mmmmm...sooo good. If you like Italian food, this place is quite a gem. I also love that they have a Vegetarian lasagna on their menu. As someone who doesn't eat meat, a Vegetarian lasagan is something that always grabs my attention when I'm at Italian restaurants. We stumbled upon this place while waitlisted elsewhere nearby but Im glad that happened. The ambiance of Povera is old timey, warm, and intimate. Tables are small and somewhat compact but it doesn't feel that way. The service was alright. The only time service fell short was when we asked for things like a straw for the drink or fresh ground pepper. Maybe staff were tired as it was the end of the night or maybe they were really busy. Regardless, we did have to ask a few times before they brought things over. Brownie points to our server though - We had a lovely server who was patient and let us take our time to review the menu. And he generously offered up the antipasto spreads and focaccia, which was delicious! The food was great. Highly recommend the focaccia. It was so good! Seasoned just right and had a great crunch. Listened to others' recommendations and got the salmon linguine. Now, it may sound simple on paper (lemon, rosemary, linguine, salmon) but it is done very well. The salmon was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The rosemary did a lot of heavylifting but wasn't overwhelming the dish. The lemon was a touch of acid to being brightness to the dish. Everything worked together. We also got the Bomba pasta with chicken. Also good, had a lot of flavours working together! The chicken also has a crisp exterior and tender interior. I'd definitely come back here for a date night or a more intimate chat with friends.
