Bulgogi Pizza - loved this pizza, especially the ribeye they use. So good! (August 2023)

This was some really good pizza and a place I wouldn't hesitate to visit again. Their online system is really easy to order from and they even text you when your pizza is ready. I got their Bulgogi Pizza (Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Fior di Latte, Grana Padano, Mushrooms, Red Onions, Chilli Flex, Rib-eye Beef) and was impressed by the beef - it was high quality, fatty, and delicious, with the pizza having a great flavor and a slight kick of spice. I also found their pizza to be slightly bigger than their competitors (their medium is 14', whereas I've found other places to be between 12'-13' for a medium). All in all, I highly recommend this place and can't wait to try some of their other flavors. Great customer service, quality, taste, variety - thumbs up!

2" + edge with sparse ingredients.

This is an update to my previous review. Last time had the take out which made the pizza all gamey and chewy, this time opted the dine in experience. Had the 2 pizzas and beer for 9.99$ special. Which is alright-price-wise. Got the Hawaiian and Chicken Pesto. (What's with the Hawaiian streak?). Let me just say this, it is much better to have the pizza hot out of the oven than to eat it later. Fantastic thin crust. Since the last review, they have reduced the crust and added more fillings which in all honesty made a better tasting pizza. They may have upped the price also, but I think people rather have a greater tasting pizza than a merely a value proposition. So yes, the pizza is awesome when hot. Dine in is preferred over take out. (Unless you have a clay oven where you can reheat them....)

Ok so came here on a recommendation on crazy shopping Boxing Day! I was in the area & craving pizza so why not! I was hoping to park, pay & dash just outside La Ruota Pizzeria but there's no parking available directly outside. Park on Glen Dr then walk around the corner onto The High St to get here. Immidiately impressed with the Neopolitan sign on the wall - normally translates to high end quality pizza! I ordered a 14" inch Calabria, 25 minutes earlier & it was ready on time. The dough, thin crust is very tasty & easy to chew. Pizza consists of sausage, Mozzarella, Grana Padano & cappicola & hot Soppresta. I did not find it to be overly hot. Looking forward to trying their other pizzas when I'm in the neighbourhood again. This is a continually booming area of Coquitlam & I was amazed at how its grown tremendously since the last time I came by.

Whenever I get asked what I want for a quick dinner, I always shout "LA ROUTA"! I'm addicted. This isn't like your local Domino's. They have the most delicious Neapolitan pizza. Yah, it's not the Neapolitan pizza you get in Italian restaurants and in Italy but super tasty. They use high quality ingredients from Italy and BC, and you can really taste it in their pizza. They offer their pizzas in 2 different sizes: 14 inch and 18 inch. You can order one of their specialty pizzas (great meat and veggie options), create your own pizza or my favourite: pick any 8 slices on the warmer for $20. I love how at La Ruota, they don't load their pizza up with too much tomato sauce and cheese. They really make sure to even everything out with the other ingredients to ensure your bite is perfectly even. Also their crust is to die for. I seriously ask my boyfriend to give me his pizza crust. Some things that they offer: - delivery - happy hour deals - buy one get another 50% - 5-8 different types of local taps, sip and eat! MY HOT TIPS: - Dip your pizza in their house made garlic sauce. It's actually life changing. - Pop your leftovers in the broiler for a couple minutes and it tastes just out of the oven.

It's not the cheapest pizza so you expect a lot from it. Ordered cauliflower pizza with their 3 standard cheese, mushrooms, dill, and grilled chicken with Alfredo sauce and truffle oil. I also got lemon pepper wings. 1) cauliflower does not Taste like cauliflower and you might like that but for someone getting "low carb" option it might be a scary thing for people who are on low carb diet. 2) I did not taste the truffle at all. That was disappointing because truffle oil is usually a finishing ingredient and you still couldn't taste it. 3) 10" Pizza (make your own kind) for about $23 was not worth it at all. The drive to poco is a trip! 4) wings did not taste like lemon pepper at all! It was mind blowing. Not crunchy. It's just not fresh period. I am however impressed with their staff. These guys are slaved to the T and you can tell by the chaos in the kitchen. They could use some organizing skill though. 1 could be staying by the cashier till completely and 1 at front dealing with pick up and 1 up front dealing with walk-ins. And 1 dealing with phone calls coming in (it was busy AF). And the rest remains in the kitchen and process those orders like the champ they are. The employees were apologetic to walk ins getting delayed service due to high demand orders. And some even came in rudely and so entitled even through this pandemic. Some people just don't know how to wait! So these 3 stars are not for their pizza but for their hardworking staffs who still manages to be pleasant with customers under pressure! I would go back to support them and tip the workers but I would not come back for their pizza or wings. Not worth the hassle.

Don't know the name of this one but it's delicious a little kick to it

Delicious. Hands down my favorite place for pizza. The crust is nice and thin and perfectly crispy. Plenty of toppings and very flavorful.

I love good Pizza! My two favourites before moving to the tri-cities was Pizzeria Barbarella on East Broadway and Straight Outta Brooklyn Pizza, on Kingsway. Both had thin crust, the perfect balance of chewy and soft, and good topping combinations. We finally tried La Ruota out and picked up an 18" Capricciosa pizza for only 15$ lunchtime special - a great deal, with good quality ingredients, not salty or greasy. The crust was good, soft but chewy but hard to judge as we did take out. I'll have to try it straight from the oven next time. Look forward to trying it again!

See what I found on the back of the pizza!!!! It is a curly short hair. I saw this on the box after I fished the first slice of pizza. Honestly, I hope I never see this.

Pretty good pizzas. Good atmosphere, they had decent selection of menu, something for everyone. Kids got Hawaiian and we tried a few different slices. Satisfied overall, would be good for casual dining for cheap. The pizzas didn't blow me away hence 4 stars.

The cheese on the Caesar salad had that rich, creamy texture that only comes from really good product, and the pizza was well-made with a beautifully charred crust and fresh toppings. That said, I found the prices to be steep for what you get. $21 for a salad and $35 for a pizza felt hard to justify, even with the quality. It's definitely a spot that leans more toward a special treat than a casual dinner out. If you're all about premium ingredients and authentic Neapolitan-style pizza, this place delivers...but be prepared for the bill to reflect that.

The AI algorithm must have read my mind as my cell news feed kept posting several pieces on this pizzeria. LOL. I'd forgotten that I hadn't been back to Spacca Napoli in over 8 years. Here I was reading in my news feed that this pizzeria was now #1 in Canada. I rarely if ever write a second review of a restaurant, but I just had to for SN. SN is a small restaurant with an Italian feel to it. You can see the beautiful red oven where the pizzas are heated up. My brother & I shared the tantalizing La Casalinga Salad - one of the best salads I've ever had while dining out. We shared two pizzas - a Capricciosa (it was great) & the magnificent Maradona (spicy sausage). The crust is so chewy & tastes excellent. What was surprising to find was that I didn't feel like a stuffed bear after completing the pizza. For dessert I had the awesome Pistachio Tiramisù. Mama Mia! I cannot lie - SN is the numero uno best tasting pizza in Metro Vancouver! I absolutely cannot wait to get back here ASAP! *Heads up Alert - no reservations taken, first come first served.

Vesuvio, another name for Vesuvius, Mount Vesuvius…read more Interesting name for a pizzeria. I will enquire next time I visit the meaning of it. Ladies and gentlemen, this is best pizza to day I had outside of Italy. As part of the extended birthday celebration, my anti-carb partner indulged me to choose. Of course pizza, but which one? Vesuvio is a relatively unknown hidden pizza joint among sea of pizza franchises like Panago, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Little Caesar's within the 2 km radius. The flow of foot traffic at Vesuvio is steady where other eateries in the strip mall are asleep in this covid ridden time. We had the #7 carne (prosciutto and pepperoni). Let me tell you, the thickness of the crust was perfect. It's edge was thin. The sauce and cheese were in perfect balance. After four slices, and half a pizza later, I was looking for more. Great service and great price. Definitely worth it. Will be back

Oh man this place is good! I finally cracked and got a third party delivery app because my desire…read moreto try this pizza was verging on completely consumption. The only disappointment was that I sat on my moral high ground instead of just giving into my wanton desire. So far I have eaten two of their pies; Pesto Chicken (self-explanatory ingredients) and the Little Italy (classic Pepperoni). The quality and freshness of the ingredients is visual, for example the Chicken was sliced thick, easy to tell it was from a single breast piece. When you put that sort of care on their over the top good thin crust, you have a perfect combination. The Little Italy was all flavour and not greasy, so satisfying. Next time I order, pretty sure I'm going to try something with less traditional ingredients, which normally is a crap shoot, but I have faith Vesuvio can pull it off....maybe their Bianca (Zucchini, Spinach, Corn, Sun Dried Tomato and Bleu Cheese) or Quatro (Ham, Shrimp, WTF Crab!, Mushroom). Price point is beyond affordable, third party delivery was fast and efficient. Vesuvio is literally a 12/10, now my go to pizza place, 100% recommend.

We have…read moreordered here a few times already abd have tried 4 kinds- crispy prosciutto , funghi, BBQ chicken and perfect storm. All so tasty on that sourdough base. I remember the first time I tried the crust and was literally mind blown that it could be so airy, fluffy and freaking delicious. I'm indifferent about normal bread loafs that are regular or sourdough but holy cow , sourdough pizza crust is something else ! My favorite has been the perfect storm which is as the name says, the perfect amount of saltiness, sweetness, texture and flavour. I usually dont like mushrooms unless the mushrooms have cooked out the moisture a lot and while this pie doesn't look very appealing it is so yummy too. My partner is very pleased thst BBQ chicken is a regularly listed flavour as sometimes you have make it yourself at other restaurants. I will say any of the pizzas even taste good cold/ next day - which I always try to test for pizzas and fried chicken because its a solid place if it tastes good cold !! The parking lot is very small as there is a sushi place and a subway as neighbour's but also because surprisingly it is a Tesla charging hub so many people are just there to charge their car. I want to say there is like 11 spots or so... and not much room to turn in to check for parking and to turn your car around, you'll need some good reverse skills :). I suggest parking across from the gas station or along Bainbridge on the same side as the restaurant. One small thing is that sometimes the pizza slices aren't cut evenly. Like significantly off. For example, this time for each pie( we ordered BBQ chicken and funghi again) there was 1-2 slices that are about the quarter of the pie in size! I am only showing the pizza sizes as the other photos are similar to what have been posted already. One other observation is that there are so many staff working at a time - any time I've picked up , there have been 5 people ? I appreciate a good system but also if there are that many people j expect more perfection - including the pizza slize sizes ! Possibly because of the number of staff, that drives the pricing up a bit as the pies are on the pricier size for a medium sized pizza. I do wish you could order larger sizes as it only comes in one size. In conclusion, even with the small things mentioned, I wouldn't dock any stars because the sourdough is just too worth it to be phased and I have always enjoyed a meal from this place :).
