a variety of pizzas on display

Lots of densed pizza! And what I like is so many choices! Dough is bit harder. Very stuffy. The counter guy was very friendly, actually he was very humble and I was surprised with that most. The restaurant opens 11am and went there to pick up my pizza at 11:05am on Sunday. The counter case was filled up all corners with different types of pizza. Simply it was wow experience. I haven't seen such enthusiastic retailer who wants to sell their products in that way. Whom I saw in the counter was only one person that time. I don't know how he completed it but all I could see he was hard worker. Very impressive!

The spinach and feta was the most shocking for me, they recommended to drizzle lemon juice on it and WOW it was amazing!!! The lemon juice totally brightened up the flavour, adding a nice *zing* and they also sprinkled extra feta cheese on top. Very unique and delicious, I would definitely get it again. Oh ya, I also got the capioccolo, which you should also get if you're a pepperoni fan and want something a little extra. Yum, 5 stars!

How often do you get to see pizza joints right next to each other in Vancity ? Almost never ! But here we are on the Drive witnessing Fire trying to engulf 4 Brothers . So who's got the upper hand ? Hard to say . To be honest quality and taste-wise they're 'bout the same but the latter's interior is more brightly lit than the former . However I did see a lady went into both and came back out empty-handed . Just sayin' .

Bacon? It's the Where's Waldo of toppings here!

Just ordered an XL Bacon and Mushroom Pizza. The website describes this as having: Sliced bacon, sliced mushrooms, bacon bits, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese. So first off, it has a LOT of really nice fresh hand cut mushrooms. I mean a LOT. Great! Decent amount of cheese. Not too much. Not too little. Didn't see or taste a lot of tomato sauce and the bacon was a hint of ground bacon sparingly distributed across the 16" crust. Now I wasn't expecting a sourdough crust but something was decidedly sour going on there, and not in a good way. More like a rancid dishcloth way. Trying very hard not to be too harsh because the guy on the phone and the delivery guy were both such pleasant and friendly to deal with but to be brutally honest, if this is truly, "THE BEST PIZZA ON THE DRIVE!" as they advertise, I feel very sorry for the folks in that area. Very sorry.

I haven't been to Fire Pizza for a while since I've moved away from the area. I'm glad to say that the pizza is still as delicious as before. The crust is crispy and toppings are premium and plenty. I got my old favourites, honey garlic pork and spinach and feta. I gotta say, the honey garlic pork is such a great spin on the classic Hawaiian pizza. Other slices I would recommend are the roasted veggies, and the stir-fry.

Alright so it's 2019, new year, new me. I'm gonna eat more vegetables and less pizza but why not go out with a bang? Fire Pizza is one of my favourite by the slice joints and I decided to pop by for a second dinner before the new year. They've got a great assortment of toppings and are constantly churning new pies out so there's something for everyone. I tend to gravitate towards the Stir Fry, which is saying a lot for someone who has a more than healthy meat intake. It comes decked out with roasted broccoli, potatoes, olives, and a ton of other vegetables, providing the perfect base for a healthy drizzle of garlic sauce. I also highly recommend the Honey Garlic Pork, Masala Chicken, Spinach and Feta, and anything with meatballs on it. At 2 slices with a drink for $5, you really can't go wrong, especially if you're like my boyfriend and inhale four slices in one sitting. Plus they're open until 3 am weekdays and 4 am weekends, with delivery for $7 within a 5 km radius. Check it out!

Although I live in Richmond, this is one of my favorite pizza places to trek to. Reasonable pricing, friendly staff, and big portion. I mean for less than $7 for 2 slices and a drink, you can't go wrong. They used to open a bit later too, so if they resume late night it'll definitely be here more often! My favorite is their honey pork garlic and a classic pepperoni pizza :)

Before entering in, there another pizza shop called 4 Brothers right next door. Not a single soul there, Fire is bumping. We go into Fire. Open super late ~ add star Super cheap ~ add star That is all. Cardboard Dough. No butter, no olive oil, taste and texture like...cardboard. Inventive pie names yet the ingredients do not come together. Skrimpy on cheese, skimpy on sauce = no flavor. Putting this fire out due to let down.

Not only was my pizza tossed around the box crazy, it was gross and cold and tasted weird. Never again

One of my favourite pizza spots and probably my most favourite pizza-by-the-slice places. This local business is run by a husband and wife duo as you can usually see at least one of them behind the counter. They have a lot of unique pizza toppings along with great veggie options for flexitarians like myself. I particularly like the spicy mushroom (so generous with the mushrooms!) and the tropical veggie (because I'm a pineapple & potatoes on pizza kind of gal, sue me). In terms of meat options, my bf loves their pepperoni (because they are super generous with layering on the pep) and I like to treat myself to their Chicken Bacon Ranch for some tangy, salty goodness. The only pizza of theirs I would not recommend is the spinach and feta as the layers of spinach can actually be a little too soft and soggy. They always offer to heat up the slices for you and offer toppings like feta or tzatziki drizzle. They also usually have hot sauce and chilli flakes on the side for self-serve. Even though their prices have gone up over the years, I think that can be expected. Their prices are still very reasonable as their quality has never wavered.

I was here yesterday to eat some inexpensive pizza for my lunch, and it didn't taste as good as last time. Crust was way TOO thin and not crispy, and I tasted something dry in the crust which could have been flour or something. I wish the crust was softer and crispier. I got 3 different flavours of Crab Bacon, Mediterra and Spinach Feta. I personally liked the Spinach Feta the most because of the leafy cheesy taste. Crab Bacon was alright. I paid $6.75 for all this, but the taste wasn't 5 stars worth. Plus my pizzas were dry, therefore I'm giving 3 stars.

Love the fact these are thin crust pizzas. Ordered the spinach feta and chipotle beef. Lots of spinach and they gassed feta and lemon juice. Chipotle beef was good too.

One of the best things about "the Drive" (Commercial Drive) is that there are literally piles of restaurants, back to back. In fact, there are 2 pizza places side by side (the other being 4 Brothers) on this block. Only one way to find out which one is better. Parking is available on the side streets, or if you feel like feeding the City, there is metered parking in front as well. The interior is actually quite clean, with lots of wood. There was quite a bit of traffic here. The lady behind the counter was VERY friendly. I couldn't stop drooling at the display case. This place really is something special. It had some of the most inventive pizza combinations I have seen in a while. And yes, it beats out Flying Wedge. See pics. Pizza here is $2, compared to $1.75 at 4 Brothers next door. However, the toppings here are thicker overall. Something to keep in mind. As I had to budget my stomach, I tried a slice of Crab and Shrimp, and one of Chicken Masala. Crab + Shrimp - the lady cashier even squeezed a wedge of lemon on top for me, and topped it with parmesan. The lemon added a nice zing to the pizza, and I give them props for being inventive, but sadly this combo doesn't work. The reason is because both crab (imitation) and shrimp are more "bland" meats. Not saying it was bad; just that it was bland. Chicken Masala - tasty pieces of meat. Onions and peppers scattered throughout. Flavour could've been more masala-like but this is minor. They do load up on the toppings here, and the crusts are nice and thin. I will be back. Recommended.

Our picky 6yo son will eat some variant of this dish most of the time. The restaurant is gorgeous - brightly lit, classy, and arranged on two floors, each with a dedicated kitchen. The upstairs even has an open kitchen. Despite feeling very upscale, the restaurant is super welcoming to all, from families with kids, after-work crowds, folks on dates, and even well-dressed stockbrokers discussing their latest trades. The food was outstanding and had inspirations from Italian, Mexican and Japanese influences: 1. The kid's cheese pizza turned out really good - thin crust, Neapolitan style with slightly charred puffy crust from the wood oven. Our son ate most of it before the brick-chicken arrived! 2. The smaller dishes are meant to be shared - the Japanese Sweet Potatoes and Roasted Cauliflowers are good sides for a protein-rich entree. Wife ordered the lighter Baja Scallops and enjoyed them. 3. The star of the dinner was the Brick-Pressed half chicken. Crispy seared crust and super-moist meat underneath. Unlike many places they added a bit of spice from the chilis and even mixed in some beef tallow for additional richness. Our son enjoyed it too, and was not fazed by the slight heat from the chilis. A crispy skin always elevates a chicken! Highly recommend Nightingale for epic food, great service, and welcoming vibe. Reservations are available but make them early. I didn't have very high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by the pizzas here. They offer a variety of veggie and meat pizzas that can be made with regular crust or deep dish style. We ordered a small deep dish margharita ($19.99) and a medium deep dish butter chicken ($23.99) pizza. Both weren't true deep dish pizzas, but the crust was nice and thick. I'd recommend the pizzas here to anyone who likes a breadier crust. My only minor complaint is that the pizzas didn't have enough sauce to complement the thick crust. The pizzas kept well for leftovers too. They tasted just as good the next day heated up in our toaster oven.
