I've ordered twice now from this pizza joint and both times it was just okay pizza. I LOvE firewood baked pizza for that quality of Smokeyness to the crust which you do get from the crust but their toppings taste aren't any of quality, tastes like dominos pizza toppings if I had to compare. We got bit by the pizza bug one day and decided to hunt around for some ones after work. After a long day of thinking about it, we spotted this pizza joint beside the coffee place we wanted to grab some pizza dough from. We walked in and a lot of choices were readily available! We were already dreaming about the best one. Then we looked at the choices above and when I say we walked into Pizza Heaven. We did. We decided to try the classic Margherita pizza. I mean, who can get that wrong? We put some of their store made garlic sauce and BAM! We got hit by so much flavour! We didn't even talk to each other, whilst gobbling it down. Then we decided to order another one, their spinach, sundried tomato and spinach pizza and we topped it off with their garlic sauce. Let me tell you, we walked out of there happy!! Gone are the days of greasy cheap pizza and replaced with higher quality pies. Drove around commercial, stopping and looking at my phone for a pizza spot that is neither uncle Fatih's or Pizza Garden (nothing against them, just not what I'm looking for tonight). I drove past Fire pizza and Two Brothers, and remembered that Fire pizza changed ownership and somehow the quality dropped, and I don't visit two brothers because their pizza seem to always just sit there with an empty foyer. La Pache Pizza was next to Grounds for Coffee, so I pass by it many times while grabbing a hot one. Before I even stepped foot into La Pache I was greeted by the Pizza chefs! Great! At $2.50 per slice, La Pache has some solid pizza. Mid afternoon on a weekday, they didn't have that many slices of pizza left, but still had a good variety. They had about 3 types of vegetarian pizzas and 4 types of meat pizzas up front, but with only a few slices left of each. After picking a veggie slice, they heated it up and it was quick. There were 3 types of sauces including ranch and also chili flakes and oregano that you could sprinkle on. The crust was thin and crunchy, but still had some chew. The delivery service, Uber Eats dropped the ball. As far as I am concerned the restaurant needs to ensure their delivery service partners can ensure good customer experience. 10 minutes before the pizza was dropped off I tracked the delivery and it showed the driver walking a few blocks to our place. Yessssss to this pizza! It's a cheap slice, but that's not what makes it good. The quality and variety of options is superb. Seriously, this is quality wood fired pizza with the perfect blistered/crispy/soft/chewy crust. Veggie options are not your standard boring types. They've got some creative and tasty stuff happening here! Don't be fooled into thinking this is another Fresh Slice kinda joint - it is waaaayyyy elevated. Plus the staff working here are always friendly, and so genuinely interested in hearing that their customers are enjoying their food. Haven't ordered a whole pie from here yet, but plan on it soon. Hubby and I live in the neighbourhood, so when we saw the new sign for La Pache we were keen to give it a try. We ordered a full pizza to go. Wanted to try a couple varieties, so we ordered half Four Seasons and half Classic Vegetarian. It was ready in less than 10 minutes. Got it home and dug in - the crust was nice and thin, crispy on the edge, chewy in the centre, although a tad moist in the middle because there were so many toppings. Price including $8.00 delivery charge was $32.00. The food arrived ahead of stated time and was luke warm but tasted great so no big deal the temp of food. What really IRKED me was the driver who got a $7.00 cash tip as well as whatever he get from the $8.00 delivery charge tells me "This is a long way NEXT time order through door dash" THERE WILL BE NO NEXT TIME. I'm sorry I could not satisfy his need to make $50.00 off this delivery as it was I paid $40.00 for a medium pizza. This has easily become my new favorite late night pizza place. In fact, it has also become my favorite quick dinner after work place. It's not greasy or too salty, there is always a good selection of different toppings, and I'm a big fan of the garlic sauce and chilli oil. The sitting area is spacious, clean and modern. Open late, it's a great place to crush that pizza craving you may feel after you finish hanging out with the squad. With an a verity of about 5-7 different pies (there is a vegetarian option) anyone would be happy giving this place a try. The best part about had to be the dough and crust itself. I like everything about their pizza except one thing. They burn the bottom. Don't get me wrong, I am addicted to this pizza, but I don't want to get cancer from it some day. The guy who works there in the day, (he's probably the boss) looks very talented. He tosses the dough up and down, puts on a great show. But come on man, just make the crust just right (no over burning) and I am sure you are going to get many more return customers. I like this neopolitan pizzeria because they actually heat up the pizza for you after it is sitting at the counter for a while. It's nice and hot when you get it.
