Horrific service. This man was either the owner or manager, from how he referred to "his employees", was so rude. I was given the wrong slice, when I asked to change the slice he raised his voice and argued with me. After I asked for a refund (we hadn't eaten anything yet) he got whipped up further and said he wasn't able to refund us/didn't know the system. He then gave me cash but kept my tip. On my way back from the airport decided to try the authentic Italian pizza. Ordered half Palermo and half Motera. I did not like that there was not any parking! I had to put hazards on in bus zone then run down the street to fetch the pizza. When I walked in the guys behind the counter were just milling around for a minute or two without saying anything or acknowledging me. Those two things were disappointing. The pizza itself was hot and looked delish! XL was perfect size and cooked well. The toppings were tasty and crust was chewy. We were looking for a really good pizza place in Richmond. I went on Google Map and saw Romilano. Went on their website, the photos looked amazing. Ordered 2 pizzas and when we picked it up, it felt really light. When we opened the box, it looked far from the photos we saw online. There were barely any toppings and the crust/sauce/cheese didn't look too appetizing. They also sell pizza by the slice and it is actually cheaper to get them by slices than to order a whole pizza. Food: I ordered a few pizzas by the slice. Crust a bit dry and I would not consider this a thin crust pizza, as advertised. Thin crust should be crispy and crunchy....not hard and super chewy. I shouldn't be thinking, "am I going to break my teeth right now?!?" The Toppings are sparse and the sauce is like that one drop of water that you find in a cactus in the desert. The flavour is fine but not so good that it'll make up for the other faults. I think their location is convenient and if u eat it right away outside the Canadaline bench, you'll be fine. Otherwise, hard pass. Service: I could do with better service but not rude and fairly efficient. But perhaps, I am nitpicking because I am unhappy with the pizza! Ughhh. The Hawaiian makes me mad. I finally got my chance to try out this little pizzeria today while I was waiting for my niece to get her eye lash extensions done. This pizza shop was the only place that had coffee as the mall wasn't opened yet and I'm glad I came here. Nice and quiet, great for people watching off the skytrain and the pizza slices were fantastic! What's best is about the crust. The pizza dough is well made!! Perhaps I am living on a different planet from the rest of Yelp because I was supremely disappointed with Romilano's. Oh where, oh where should I begin. I work from home, so by the time 1:00pm had rolled around I was starving and ready for a quick meal. Since I intended to get back to work right after eating, I decided to order an Oliva Funghi pizza with a side of cheesy bread. Around 40 minutes after I ordered, a very prompt, courteous and efficient delivery lady handed me my order. When I opened the pizza box, I was floored. The pizza looked amazing and had a generous amount of spinach on top (which I paid extra for, in addition to the roasted garlic). But when I picked up a slice, it limply hung in my hands. Now I'm no expert, but I thought thin crust pizza was supposed to be...y'know, crispy? I don't have thin crust pizza often (if ever) but everyone who loves it always talks about how the crispness of the crust is the best part. Considering I hadn't eaten since yesterday night, I told myself the hunger had gotten to me: I was making a big deal out nothing. It was time for me to just chill and enjoy the damn pizza. 'All of yelp can't be wrong,' I muttered to myself, 'This is probably great pizza, I'm just a savage who doesn't know what good thin crust pizza should taste like.' But alas, even as I was listening to my internal pep talk, I felt something yellow and greasy pool in my pizza-wielding hand. Oil! And LOTS of it. Snaking its way down to the hardwood floor from the single slice I held in my hand. When I looked over at the box, I saw the huge stain pooling around the pizza. It even got on my table (somehow escaping through the bottom of the cardboard pizza box). I wish I were kidding when I tell you that this pizza was the greasiest, oiliest pizza I have ever had in my life. After having two slices, I could feel the oil churning around in my stomach. It wasn't a pleasant feeling. Obviously, pizza is oily and greasy. But thin crust pizza is supposed to be less oily then your regular, token Pizza Hut Panormous. The breadsticks were skinny, sad little things. They had a nice, delicious garlic flavour when I took a bite (a definite plus), but the cheese was severely lacking (a travesty when the menu calls them "Cheesy Bread"). I wasn't expecting them to be smothered in cheese (because this is an Italian style pizza place, not an American one), but I would have liked to taste some cheese in there. The breadsticks were definitely on the dry side. They looked so delicious on the menu too, but honestly? The 6 pieces were not worth the $4.50 I paid for them (I could have had cheesier breadsticks from Little Caesars). The two stars you see above you have been given purely because of the fact that the owners of Romilanos seem like a very earnest, very hardworking couple. I was going to order my meal via skipthedishes, but Romilanos offered a very reasonable $2.50 delivery fee, so I ordered straight from them instead. On the whole, I paid $26 for a pizza that I didn't even enjoy. I could have gotten something edible from Domino's for a lot cheaper (something I would have enjoyed a lot more). But the fact remains that Romilano's offers a WIDE variety of toppings that will definitely appeal to people looking for Italian-style pizza. As for me, I'm avoiding thin crust pizza from now on. American style pizza all the way. read more

Found out about this place a few years ago from a delivery driver at work, said it was the best pizza he's ever had. We ordered it for lunch to see if it lived up to the hype and it did. Thin crust is great, the sauce isn't overly salty like the chain places and the garlic dipping sauce is bomb.. I think the people who don't like this pizza, think that pizza is supposed to have a thick cheese filled crust and be piled up with a ton of gut wrenching toppings. Wrong! First off, if you aren't eating pizza from a wood stone oven then it ain't real pizza. North Americans have been victimized by the Western idea of pizza. The crust is deliciously thin and yet slightly chewy, and it's supposed to be thin bc real pizza shouldn't have everything but the kitchen sink piled on top of it. I enjoyed both the beef and crumbled bacon slices I had, and appreciated the tender crust, not tough like at some other places. The pizza tastes a lot better since the name change from Pizza Garden to Romilano Pizza. The toppings, freshness, cheese coverage and crust texture have all improved. I like this place. It's always great for a good cheap meal. Six bucks gets you two slices and a drink and you're full whereas most food court meals are 11-14 bucks nowadays. The pizza itself is awesome. The crust, dipped in their garlic sauce that's free is awesome. Their pizzas are flavorful but not overtly salty like some of the other chains out there. I never feel like I need a ton of water after eating here. As for the reviewer who complained about the oil, first of all, oil is not the enemy. Pizza has cheese so of course it's going to be fatty and oily. You want a dry pizza? Disgusting. Good thin crust pizza for the price. This place is literally right behind the Aberdeen sky train station. They have a variety of thin crust pizzas available by the slice. I had the potato and mushroom slices and they were quite good. The crust was chewy and crispy in the right places and the cheese and toppings tasted good. I have never submitted a review before. I had to post my experience because what I read for reviews on their website is very misleading. Everything we ordered was awful. We ordered a medium Motera and a medium pepperoni. Delivered. The crust was cold and "rubbery". It had very little cheese despite the description on line. We couldn't finish 2 medium pizzas between 3 hungry guys because we got tired of chewing it. Caesar salad consisted of romaine, a few croutons and a pot of dressing. I'm certain it was from a bottle. No Parmesan cheese at all. Basically $6.95 for a container of romaine. The wings were the tiniest wings I have ever seen! Should be called wing tips because all but 2 were tips. 20 of them would easily fit into a 1 cup container. Big disappointment and expensive- $70.00.
