    Overloaded Lobster Roll
    Latrisha A.

Place your order when you walk in and seat yourself. Seating is limited, dining in seating is upstairs and outside dining is an option. When your food is ready, you will be notified with the buzzer for pickup. Ok, the overloaded lobster roll is amazing. You get 1/2 lb of lobster meat. There is an option cold or warm sandwich. I chose warm with dazzle of butter. It come with Cole slaw is was good. The restaurant is small and very clean. There no seafood smell. After you finish dinning, you clear your table. I highly recommend DJ' s Clam Shack!!!

The staff and the food here are 5 stars. The set up here is not good. I wait in line to order. I have to come back for our food and clean up after ourselves. Quality of the food here is very good! We enjoy their fish tacos and lobster rolls. Their sweet potatoes are so much better than their French Fries. I like draft beer and they only have bottled. You have to go upstairs to get a table inside. Not a comfortable place to sit down and eat but if you do you will enjoy the food!

Cute stop in shopping center! Today there was a band playing and they had lots of tables outside to sit and enjoy meal.. you go inside to order and no seats inside. We got cold lobster roll and it came on nice buttery roll. There was huge pieces of lobster! They also sell shirts and other merchandise but shirt I wanted was out of stock! lol! We enjoyed stopping here to take break from shopping! Great food great vibes!!

Great seafood spot right in St. Augustine. Quick service counter, so no worries about a wait staff. They had a nice outdoor patio with live music for lunch. Or you can dine up on the second floor, limited seating up there. The shrimp and fish baskets were very good, great tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. The garlic shrimp roll was delicious, and my wife loved her fish tacos! I would definitely recommend this seafood shop!

A really enjoyable spot, especially if you catch it on a good day. We visited on a Sunday and were treated to live music on a shaded patio, which was a perfect escape on a hot afternoon. The atmosphere alone is worth the trip. The food delivered too. The lobster roll at $28 gives you pause, but it earns its price tag and is genuinely worth it. The fried shrimp basket was also a winner, with delicious shrimp as the highlight. Skip the fries and go for the onion rings instead. Not a destination we'd drive across town for, but absolutely one we'd return to if we were in the area. A great option when the weather and the music align.

Overall we liked DJ's. The food was good but typical for a seafood shack. It definitely has a feel of a beachside hangout. Next time I'd skip the conch fritters (mediocre) and opt for the lobster roll which looked amazing. We'll definitely try it again on our next St Augustine visit.

This was a great find, nothing fancy. Walk inside order from the menu on the wall and find a seat in the courtyard or upstairs. They give you a buzzer and you pick up your order and return to your seat and begin the most enjoyable/favorable/ rich clam chowder and the most juicy and flavorful full belly clams, spit of Cape Cod. Very good and worth the market price. On a personal preference point, not a fans of the french fries with that seasoning coating. Otherwise great New England treat. Lobster rolls that others had were raved about. Definitely worth a stop in St Augustine

Me and my family spent the day in St Augustine, visiting Fort Mose to close out Black History Month(excellent history of enslaved people in that area). We had already planned to eat at DJ's Clam Shack, a favorite since visiting Key West and promoted by Guy Fieri, Food Network. The lobster rolls are the best, you must get it hot, the bread, fresh lobster meat with butter will melt in your mouth and the coleslaw is very fresh. The conch fritters, fries and clams were all tasty and very delicious. The staff are very friendly and patient. There is inside and outside seating, we decided to eat outside, 75 degrees and a light breeze so remember DJ's Clam Shack on Hypolita the next time you visit St Augustine.

First timers here We had the famous lobster rolls $20 each served hot on like a Texas toast bun The rolls were excellent but not very filling at all even for a woman as I had to order additional rolls for her. The coleslaw was very tasty as well and it's cheaper to park in the lot of the fort at $10 max than $15 for a private lot that's basically the same distance. So three rolls, and one little bottle of Chardonnay and one little bottle of Prosecco plus $10 to park , state tax and local tax plus tip equals $120.63

Delicious and packed lobster rolls. Definitely a casual spot but plenty of seating both outside and upstairs. Order at a window and then pick up the food when it's ready. Quick and kind service but by no means fancy. Came here for a good and filling lobster roll and that's exactly what I got!

A generous amount of lobster ($46) however it was almost tasteless. You can definitely tell it was frozen. Kind of disappointing. The fried clams were great ($18). They have a really nice shady outdoor area to enjoy your food.

This was the least busy place in st. Augustine after new years. Nice little patio and upstairs space. Even though st. Augustine was crowded , this place was almost empty. Easy ordering and not a huge menu. Got the regular lobster roll for $28. They also had the overstuffed lobster roll for $46. The bread was nice buttery and toasty but the lobster filling was a bit on the bland side and very little. I was expecting more taste and a bigger amount of lobster for the price. Also got the clam chowder loaded Fries. Didn't like it at all, the clam chowder tasted really bad. This place was once and done. At least for me.

Seen this place on Guy's Triple D so I wanted to check it out. It did not disappoint. The food was amazing. The breading on the oysters was not heavy at all. The roll was toasted perfectly. Service was supper fast and friendly. Outdoor seating was clean and comfortable. Don't skip if you are in town.

Now that we've officially moved here, we've been back about three more times, and somehow I love it more every time. If you enjoy seafood and New Orleans-style food, this is definitely a place to put on your St. Augustine list! The service has always been good, the drinks are great, and yes, there's usually a wait, but honestly, it goes by pretty quickly. We typically grab a drink and hang outside while we wait for our buzzer to go off, which makes the wait feel much more enjoyable. I have a few favorites here that I find myself coming back to: Redfish Alexandria, absolutely delicious and one of my favorites. Andouille Crusted Grouper , another standout if you're looking for something flavorful and seafood-focused. My first choice now that the low country pasta isn't available Crab Cakes, always a good choice for appetizer. Low Country Pasta, this was a special during their Mardi Gras menu, and I was SO SAD to find out it wasn't a regular menu item because I would order this all the time! My first choice And please save room for dessert because the fried Oreos are a MUST-TRY! For drinks, you really can't go wrong, we've had a few of their signature drinks, but the Cucumber Martini was one of my favorites. Refreshing, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering! The restrooms are conveniently located both upstairs and downstairs. Parking in this part of St. Augustine can be a little difficult, but that's pretty typical for the area and definitely wouldn't stop me from coming here. Overall, Harry's has become one of those places we're happy to keep coming back to. Great food, fun atmosphere, good drinks, and plenty of New Orleans-inspired seafood dishes to choose from. Definitely worth checking out when you're visiting St. Augustine!

I had mentioned two guests had a birthday in my reservation and they put two birthday notecards on the table, this was a lovely touch. The ambiance outside was perfect, wasn't loud at all and lighting was moody. I had a Ruby Fizz Mocktail and it was one of the best mocktails I have ever had. The others drinks were strong and good! The food was incredible. I highly recommend the scallop toast (we ordered it a second time because it was so good!) and bread service for starter. The table really liked the empanadas, I was not a huge fan (but, I am from Miami so my empanada taste buds are different LOL). The Rockefeller Snapper was incredible. Huge piece of yellowtail and just an overall unique dish. The Scallop Cavatelli had to have been one of the best seafood dishes I have ever had. It was rich and decadent. I am not sure if they hand roll the pasta in house, but the pasta tasted so fresh. The table had some espresso martinis to end the night and I had a decaf French press coffee (I think he said French press). It was all delicious. Highly highly recommend.

There was no one at hostess stand because system was down and they were having troubles which I felt bad for the hostess who seemed stressed on obviously a busy night. I ordered a sangria but our drinks took a very long time to come out, after our appetizer (crab, an heirloom tomato bruschetta which was yummy and more filling than regular bruschetta!) Overall, the food was really good and waitress was nice, but water was never refilled and everything took a really long time to come out. From bow to stern (nautical theme here) this was just a bad experience across the board! Our waiter had zero personality and acted as if he really didn't want to be there, the food was bad, and the cost was far more than the value provided. A rainy Sunday night and not very crowded - maybe 4 - 5 tables, but somehow our food managed to get lost in the kitchen and we waited way too long for food that was (in my case) completely inedible. My wife ordered the fresh catch halibut dinner grilled, and I ordered a blackened grouper sandwich. Both entrees were heavily salted; my wife tried to wipe the seasoning off her filet, which was at least decent sized. My sandwich contained the thinnest, saltiest piece of fish I'd ever been served, and I only managed a couple bites before giving up. My wife's filet wasn't fully cooked, and since we weren't eating sushi-grade fish, my wife was concerned about that. When she told our waiter he barely glanced at her plate and his response was "That's cooked. Some people are just finicky about the texture." "Finicky??" Are you sh**ing me?? How about saying "I'm sorry, would you like me to have it cooked more?" She also pointed at my sandwich and said that it was so salty I couldn't eat it, and all he said was "I'll be back." At least he didn't tell me I was being "finicky". The manager came over shortly after and explained that our server told him we weren't pleased with our meal. My wife explained the issues and his response "Too salty? I know who that is. One of our guys over-salts a lot. I'll talk to him." He then apologized and offered to get us something else, but I declined and said I was done. He vaguely pointed at our food and said he would "discount it". While we waited for the bill my wife took what was left of her fish to the house cat sitting on the patio, and the cat wouldn't even eat it! I'm sorry Mr manager, but if you know that one of your employees has issues with preparing food correctly... either educate them or replace them! Don't apologize and admit you're aware of bad food coming out of your kitchen! And then the topper - our bill came and a whopping $13.50 was discounted from almost $90! He didn't even take off the full cost of my sandwich which was still sitting on my plate! We usually try to give benefit of the doubt to restaurants, but this experience was bad enough that we both agreed we will NOT return. This is a prime example of why zero stars should be allowed!

Not too heavy in tumeric flavor and the plantains made it sweet. I think I preferred the dish without the curry, as a personal preference, but it was still pretty delicious. The blackened grouper had lots of spices and flavor. - Herb-Crusted Grouper (MP - $46): traded the sides for hush puppies and coconut rice. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. The fish was glistening and fresh. Long waits are common for this spot. The interior is the old Ice Plant so it has great character. Not super large so limited dining spots within. Very high ceilings and though there were plenty of diners, it was overly loud. Great spot to enjoy the company you are with! Our server was top notch, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly but not trying to monopolize our table talk. We started with Cocktails which were all great. I went classic Old Fashioned, presentation AND taste were on point. We split the Crab Beignets order of 4. The breading on them was light and fluffy, the Crab tasty and they were cooked appropriately, no burns or underdone spots. For our main course, we elected to split 2 of the specials of the day so they may not be there when you go, but judging by the quality of the specials, any dish would be great. We had the Caesar Salad (which is like calling the Queen Mary2 a "boat"!). It is next level, 7 minute eggs, homemade croutons, Anchovie forward, all good! We also split an order of Shrimp Cake Sliders. These were huge, and the slaw that accompanied was the perfect match to the shrimp without overwhelming them. The Ice Plant location was historically St. Augustine's first power and ice complex. Now the building has been revitalized and has The Ice Plant and The St. Augustine Distillery. The St. Augustine Distillery is connected to The Ice Plant and is a great tour to check out right before heading to grab food at the restaurant. There are a variety of guided and self-guided tours. My spouse and I checked out the self-guided tour right before we grabbed dinner at The Ice Plant. The tour isn't particularly long but was filled with information. After the tour, we headed upstairs to the restaurant. The restaurant feels really spacious with its super tall ceilings. There was lots to look at reminding us of the previous use of the building. We ordered the hand cut fries, strawberry and beet salad, and the gochujang marinated pork chop. I also ordered a few of their drinks, each one featuring different types of ice to fit the drink. Honestly all the food and the drinks were so good, but the easy standout of the night for both my spouse and I were the pork chops. These might have been the best pork chops I've ever had in my life. The pork chops were incredibly tender and juicy, not dry at all. I was expecting it to be a little dry, as I feel like pork chop can sometimes get overcooked, but no. These were so juicy and tender. I asked our server how the pork chop was cooked. Our server said that the pork chops were cooked sous vide, which makes a lot of sense as to how they were so tender. I've already told my spouse if we are in the St. Augustine area again, I would make a special trip just to get these pork chops again, they were that good. I really enjoyed this restaurant. This was my favorite spot we checked out in the St. Augustine area, if you are ever passing by the area, check The Ice Plant out!
