The donut selection is huge, they are all tasty and the people working here are amazing. BOGO hot donut Wednesday is awesome!

I know it's just a donut shop, but it's definitely the worst experience at this one than any other donut shop I've been to. They have a large staff, yet nobody ever wants to approach the counter or receive orders. All the employees are super rude, ignore customers even during slow times, and when you finally actually do get helped, it ends up not even being worth the time or effort because the donuts are so below the average bar. This might vary from person to person because we all have different opinions/tastes, but being that this is a small, local donut shop in a small town, everyone pretty much knows about it, and the consensus among the locals is the same as my own experience. The donuts are never fresh, they have lots of flies buzzing around the shop that also like to partake in eating your donuts. I don't like going into a place that has the same exact donuts in the display case for days without being refreshed, and on top of that, seeing flies constantly land on them and walk around in the surface of them all day, every time I've been here. I tried giving this place a lot of chances, and the flies and dirtiness of the place, that never improves every time I've tried going here, is pretty much the last nail in the coffin for me getting donuts here read more

It was not great. I was driving by and thought I'd stop and get a maple donut since they're my favorite and though they are somewhat of a staple in the Pacific Northwest I don't always find them in Chicago. And I'd never been to Dizzy Dean's, even though they've been there for a long time. Anyway, their donuts are not the worst I've ever had but nowhere near the best--if you want that, head a few miles north to Cal's on River Ave. I'm glad I tried Dizzy Dean's because now I know, but I won't need to come back. read more

Dizzy Dean Donuts is a budget friendly donut shop with quality donuts with basic donuts and fancy donuts. They have great service, very helpful and kind. They have plenty of parking so you don't have to worry. read more

Stopped here for some donuts and they were so good! In fact, we chowed down so fast we didn't even take pics! The crew member was friendly and nice! The prices were great as well! Delicious!! Came here at the recommendation of a townie. Hot fresh donuts when the sign is lit (similar to a national franchise, only better!) Their donuts are so good and so fresh! I wanted only 1or 2 and I ended up walking aways with about half a dozen. I didn't need that many! The bacon donut was especially delicious--the salty sweet gets me all the time! Dry and bland donuts, place was unkempt and dirty. Not coming back. First time visiting Eugene and not looking to come back anytime soon.

Delivery through door dash was fast, and glaze was fine. That said... After scrutinizing donut shop reviews, I decided to give this place a try, since they are close to home. We tried a varied dozen in order to get a good sample. Unfortunately, every single donut was extremely stale in taste and texture. The only donuts we ate in completion were softened up some by being warm, or due to filling. The others, we scraped off the glaze/icing and threw away the rest. I would not have been any less impressed getting them from a grocery store. My guess is that due to changing times, shops have to cut corners in how often they make the donuts? I cannot say enough good things about this place! Not just donuts but YUMMY donuts!! Some of the nicest people in the cutest place too! When I say DELICIOUS it's only because I don't know another word to describe how good these were/are! If you're in the Eugene area, please do yourself a favor and stop by!! Shout out to Dizzy Dean's today! I stopped by on a Sunday morning whim to pick up a chocolate iced old fashioned. COVID protocols are in place and evident in the shop, including masking signs, marked areas to stand, and closed seating signs. I didn't realize there's a $2.50 minimum charge for credit cards, so the young guy at the counter suggested I get two donut holes (20¢/ea) to bring my total over the minimum. I asked him to pick the flavors for me, and as a result, I just ate the *best* blueberry donut hole of my entire existence. Used to go here often but I found a hair in the glaze...gross but mistakes happen anywhere as I was eating it right outside I just went back in and the person at the counter apologize and gave me a new one! However a little over a year later it happened again, once is an accident twice is something wrong. This time I was made to feel like i was trying to "get one over on them". Sorry for the partially eaten donut pic - couldn't resist! Ok so first off, I love that this place has a warm donut case. The chocolate one was warmed and it's like biting into pure bliss. The donut with the fruit loops on it was the showstopper. Maybe there was too much icing, but everything else about it was just right. The cereal was surprisingly crunchy - I was ready for it to be soggy from the moisture from the icing like other cereal-topped deserts I've tried. The bacon on the maple bar was C R I S P. Checked this place out because they had the most consistent good reviews on Yelp out of all the donut shops. Came at 11am on a Sunday morning and they were out glazed but seemed to have everything else. We tried the hot chocolate and sugar along with room temperature donuts + donut holes! The warm ones were delicious. Sort of crispy outer layer crust then soft as you bite into the whole thing. I definitely recommend this place if your wanting some tasty, fresh donuts :-) read more

After years of recommendations, we finally made the effort to try Dizzy Dean's. We had a long hike in the morning and were looking for a sweet treat as a reward. The decor is simple and unpretentious just like the donuts. We got a plain glazed donut and a maple bacon bar. The glazed donut was crisp and fresh with just the right amount of icing on the outside. We did come at a later afternoon hour, but I could tell that if fresh, these donuts would rival the best of them. I had just about given up on maple bacon bars. I've always found them to have floppy bacon and overly sweet maple glazed. But I'm glad I gave it one more try, because this version was delicious. The bacon was crisp and the glaze had a good maple flavor without being cloyingly sweet. Lots of coffee options as well which paired great with the donuts. I wanted to say thanks to one of my vendors(IDX) in Eugene. While everybody was sending gift baskets I wanted to be different. I went on Yelp to look for donuts and Dizzy Dean's was at the top of the list. I am in Vegas and they allowed me to place a phone order and pay by credit card. I ordered 8 dozen and I was informed it was a bakers dozen so there were 13 donuts in each box. The delivery was on time and my vendors loved them. read more

Made it to my first Eugene donut shop, and I'm excited. There's a good variety of classic donuts - not enormous gourmet bombs, but regular donut sized donuts. Had a basic glazed chocolate frosted. It's very sweet, maybe on the cusp of too sweet but it doesn't cross over. The donut part is fluffy and light and somehow not greasy. Lots of air holes in the dough so it's just the right amount of chewy. Very good 4-star donut here folks! The coffee is Boyd's - a local roaster. Good, but a lighter brew than I expected in the northwest, only a touch stronger than my back-home local Dunkin. A brought the vibe down a bit for little tourist me sadly. read more

Friendly counter service, hot coffee, fresh donuts....just what you'd expect from a local little shop. I've only ever paid with cash here so I am not sure if they accept cards. We always get an apple fritter (me) and a maple bacon bar (him) and then usually one or two more to try out. This morning I also chose a buttermilk bar. It had a nice sweet tang to it from the buttermilk, but was a little too much on the cakey side for me as I prefer them a bit more dense, akin to an old fashioned.
