Alright guys. I have written a revised review in almost 3 years. I obviously still come here and with good reason. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! Everyone who works here is great! I have posted time and time again what my nails look like right after every appointment. I have gotten so many compliments on my nails it is crazy! Mai is literally the only person who can do my nails! She does a fantastic job every single time! She does her best on designs on the designs. It is appointment only. No joke: I literally schedule my appointment 3 to 4 weeks after I get my nails done, and usually I will set up at least 4 to 5 appointments. Why you ask? Because she's busy! She is always busy! I know Mai is a kind person and she will always do her best to accommodate, but when she can't, she seriously just cannot. I have become a loyal customer, who still absolutely loves the work being done here!

Not great. This is hard to write because everyone working there was genuinely SO sweet, but I got dip polish with tips and it was one of the worst I've had, primarily because of how thick they put it on. However, part of the reason (I think) they were so thick is because there was some kind of miscommunication about the color I wanted. I showed one of the nail techs a pic of the color I had chosen, but after 3 coats of the dip polish I started realizing that this is not at all what I had asked for. They ended up deciding to add a few layers of gel polish on top of the dip, in the color I actually wanted. But by that time there were so many layers of polish on my nails it looked terrible. But, what worse, is that when the second nail tech (maybe owner? ) finished my nails, they were so uneven and lumpy...it was bad. This place has a lot of good reviews and I could tell the people that came in after me were regulars, so I was really stoked to finally try them. But, although my nails looked sort of okay from a distance, overall I was disappointed.

This was my first time here, went in for a full set of acrylics. I started with a man who works there, he had an incredibly gentle touch. A woman (I believe the owner) took over and did an amazing job with the shaping and getting the pointy tips I wanted. Over all good experience. I am very pleased and will definitely be coming back.

The best nail salon ever!! Mai was so sweet and fast yet very attentive and thorough with my nails. I barely booked a few days in advance kind of short notice, and she even came early to fit me in! My nail place wasn't taking any more appointments. I had a nail emergency. They took me in at 6:15. They did not rush! They took their time. This is a tiny shop. They keep steadily busy. My nails are perfect! She shaped them so well. She didn't need constant feedback. I am super happy with this place. I will be coming here from now on!

I love nail art and can stare at nails for hours at a time. I was going on a cruise and wanted to combine 3 different nail design into 1 for my cruise. I was getting worried that I wouldn't be able to find a nail artist in Concord who would be able to give me the nails I wanted. Most nail artists are gel only from what I could find in the Bay but when I saw Mai's designs on yelp I got excited. She is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! My vision came to life and I love them!!!!!!!!! Thank you Mai for giving me my AMAZING cruise nails! I got to hold a tiger and had to model my bails with the tiger paw haha I just can't get over them so sorry in advance for all the pics I've taken of them

I booked an appointment at this location and thought I was going to have a great time but I was wrong! I waited over an hour with no apology or reason for the delay for my appointment. The person doing my nails cut 4 of my fingers while applying acrylics. Not only did I get cut multiple times but there was nail glue on my wound. I called to complain and asked for the manager to call back but disappointingly I never received a call from the salon. Although, the nails looked nice I would not be going back to this place and would not recommend.

My experience with Mai was great! She did great nails for me with lovely design, but the pedicure I got from a different lady in the salon was horrible. She cut my cuticles so bad, that I can't wear any shoes on my feet it's so painful. Last night my left toe hurt so bad that I couldn't sleep. I have pus on the left side of my toe.

My valentines-y yet everyday wear nails mai always does an amazing job!!!

Mai is an amazing and talented artist! Every design I bring her she not only nails it! (no pun intended) She knocks it out of the park! She is so talented and a delight to be around. I've been following her for awhile and I'm so excited she has her own shop now! It's so cute and has the most beautiful pedicure chairs. She stays up on all the new trends and designs, and has soooo many beautiful colors! Her 3D acrylic designs are absolutely stunning! My mother never got her nails done or pedicures, until she tried mai out before a vacation we went on. She's been going to mai ever since! She even tried getting her nails done by a few different people when visiting with friends or when mai took a vacation once a year ago, and no one lives up to how good mai is! She's gotten her nails done and immediately came home and paid for a new set from Mai. I will always follow mai! I can't imagine going to anyone else! Update: Mai is still the best!!!!!! I always love love my nails and she is always so creative. She never disappoints! I wouldn't even think of going to any other salon. The nails stay on for weeks and I ALWAYS get compliments on them! Just look at my Easter/spring nails! Absolutely stunning!

Mi is a great nail technician. Any style, color or shape you want you can get. Send her a picture of what you want and she can replicate it, plus she takes care of your nails. The place is clean and orderly. This is a great nail shop. read more

Not great. The best nail salon ever!! Mai was so sweet and fast yet very attentive and thorough with my nails. I barely booked a few days in advance kind of short notice, and she even came early to fit me in! I've been going to this nail place for years. I like my pink and white powder, I've changed different colors and different designs each time. All I have to do is show Mai the picture on how I want it done. Most times, it comes out better than the picture since she always has a special touch added. Also, Mai is the only I trust removing my in-grown nail but mostly skin around the nail. It is a family oriented business. I have recommended this place to family, friends and anyone who have given compliments to my nails and/or my toe polish. read more

I tried Dimension nails based on good reviews. The first time I was there, I didn't get Mai who I had scheduled with- she gave me another lady. The second time I was there after waiting a long time, Mai tried to give me to her hubby and I said no, because this was my 2nd time there and she still hadn't done my nails. So I waited longer for her to do them. At my third visit, after another long wait, Mai did ny nails and they started to chip 3 days later. But I figure that can sometimes happen, although rarely, so I still decided to go back a 4th time. But had to cancel because I got called into work. I told Mai the day before the appt that I needed to reschedule due to work . She was not understanding at all, and lectured me about how I need to keep appointments because of high demand. Even though I never missed any appointments, and I was giving her a full days notice that I needed to reschedule because of work. I felt bad so I tried to reschedule the appointment for after work, but her attitude was still bad, so I ended up canceling and going to another nail shop. I don't think Mai appreciates the importance of good customer service. You don't lecture a customer when they have an emergency and need to reschedule. Especially since I had kept my all my previous appointments. Not to mention, the shop could be a bit more clean. Mai has her loyal customers, and I wish her the best of luck. But I won't be using this shop where the weight is long and the owner doesn't know how to treat people, and it's kind of dirty. read more

This is my second time coming I made my appointment 4 weeks ago. Can in only to be told that my appointment was confused with another persons and canceled. Sat for an hr. Ridiculous ! I am very adamant about have tHe gel polish soaked off my toe nails, almost alL nails shop want to file the polish off leaving your nails extremely brittle I explained that numerous times but yet I still have to tell thEm no. Then after waitiing an hour I am told that anoth customers nails will be donE before mine so now I'm left with slightly filed off toe nail polling and stuck in traffic because I just wasted an hour sitting in the nail shop for no reason since I refused to wait another hour for my nails to be started and then another hour for my nails to be done then another hour for my pedicure. read more

If you come to her with a nail idea, she will make it happen and will make it better than you had imagined. I'm putting 2 stars because the staff was really nice but my nails did not look good what so ever. From start to finish was painful to watch but they are very gentle. I was also surprised because the artwork on this page is beautiful. I didn't want to say anything about it after and still tipped because I didn't want to come off as rude and I'm just non confrontational. I should have spoke up if I didn't like the nails but he was such a sweet older guy I would have felt bad I guess. Thank you guys for accepting me even though I didn't have an appointment. read more

I have been looking for a good nail salon for months and I am so glad I found this place. It is simply amazing! I checked the reviews of this place before making my appointment and everyone said that Mai was the best! And they were right, she is the best! She made my nails and everything was perfect; the shape, the length, the design, and the best part is that their prices are reasonable for the amazing job they do. I absolutely LOVE This place. Mai has done my nails over 10 years and being that I am in the Beauty Industry as well I am a very good judge on nails. She is the very first nail tech that actually listened to what I would like and she was spot on. I get so many compliments and I will never never leave her. Her husband also does nails and Ladies let me tell you if you want the best pedicure of your life, don't wait you have got to have one by Tony!! When I get my nails done I am soooooooo picky. And Ms.Mai was just incredible! She got the shape just right and I'm a super long nail type of girl and everything was perfect. Everyone was so nice and sweet, it's a very cozy and welcoming shop. My nails lasted very long too which was amazing since my nails usually break in less than 2 weeks. I was so nervous to get it done because I've seen some people get a ombré and it just comes out terrible. The lady who did my nails made sure that I was happy with the way the ombré came out and first go it was perfect, she even cut down my cuticles when I asked. That being said, I gave the review 5 stars but there were just a few things that I wanted point out, one I asked the lady to keep the corners of my nails pointed and sharp, when it came to the filing and buffing she rounded the edges, and also when she was drilling down the acrylic she made one side of all of my nails way thinner than the other. I have been looking for a place to do my nails for a while. I saw the reviews on yelp of Mai's work. I called in about 5 PM and she gave me an appointment at 7:45, which is after she closes. I was grateful that she could fit me in even though it was late. I showed her a picture of the design that I wanted for my nails and she was able to do them on the spot. Mai worked on my nails and made sure they were perfect. I was very happy with my nails and will definitely be coming back for nails and a pedicure next time. read more

I've been looking for a nail salon in this area as long as I've lived here and I finally found the one! Mai is an amazing nail artist and I totally recommend her! She listens to what you want and also suggests her ideas! I also got a pedicure a week ago by Sophia and she was also amazing! I received a gel manicure from Hanna with one hand nails bubbling up. I came back and Kimmy fixed it. While I was on a time crunch since I had a vacation to go to I appreciated her fixing it. The next day the other hand done by Hanna the entire gel polish came off of one nail with another finger happening thereafter. I came back from vacation, again I was annoyed but really wanted to give the salon a second chance because accidents happen but ... I came back and Kimmy had a new nail lady named Mandy fix my nails. Kimmy was going to fixed the nails originally but she moved Mandy to me because the other client complained. I had to correct Mandy multiple times at the end, you could tell the tip of my nails were messed up. I flagged it to Kimmy and she told me to come back at 6. I had been there for 3 hours ?! She asked me what I wanted to do and I told her to just give me a refund. She gave me $50. I think if you have Kimmy or one of her veteran nail techs do your nails you should be okay but she has a few nail techs that you can tell aren't that great. Kimmy should prequalify them and not put customers through this?! One of the other nail employees told me I was the 6th person that had come in with their gel coming off. I've done my nails for 20 years and this has never happen?!

However, I will admit that I did come in when I had a Gel-X tip split from another salon and they helped me with a new nail and tried to match the color as much as possible. The pedicures, mainly gel ones LAST 3+ weeks. It's probably their top and base because I've brought in my own gel (LeChat) and the results were the same. (I do avoid using DND/Daisy since I'm not a fan of them.) They also cut my nails as short as I request them to and VERY SHORT. Massages sometimes can be hit or miss since I need a firm, deep tissue. But I will say the consistency of having pedicures that can last forever is great! Don't change Kevin and Team! My only cons are that they don't do Russian/dry manicures as a normal mani treatment. Prices are a little high, but that's typical Diablo Valley prices. Oakland/Berkeley/Alameda are around 10-15% cheaper.

I apologized and she said next time make an appointment it's better. I paid, tipped well and didn't say anything else but I feel conflicted. My finger hurts and I am not sure how they're justifying the prices without having great customer service or giving you the basic services of a manicure.

I paid about $100 and the manicure didn't include anything other than the nails and the polish. There was no lotion or hand massage, nothing. Despite all of this I loved the nails. I got French tip. Today I went in for my second visit to get a fill. I called ahead of time to see if they had room for walk in. They said yes! I requested the same person who did my nails initially. When I walked in I immediately felt that she was rushing through the service. My cuticles weren't fixed, no extra services, everything felt so rushed.. I paid $82 for just nails and polish. I got injured when she was filing my nails because she over filed and the side of my nail on my middle finger and it separated from the skin. It hurts so bad. To top it off, the nail technician asked whether I was coming from work and when I said no she said well why didn't you make an appointment. I apologized and she said next time make an appointment it's better. I paid, tipped well and didn't say anything else but I feel conflicted. My finger hurts and I am not sure how they're justifying the prices without having great customer service or giving you the basic services of a manicure.

I decided to come to California nails to get my full set of nails done. To be honest I could not be more more unhappy and dissatisfied with my nails. So I was asked what kind of nail I would be getting I said short black tip nails she said okay sit. I sat in the first table available she started doing my nails first red flag was the fact that she did not clean my nails. By this I mean no cuticle clean no left over skin cut nothing just buffed my nail and started putting nails on. Did not asked if I wanted clear nails or the regular nails. Second red flag as she started putting the pink powder she did not have a good flow on the way the powder was going on my nail leaving peeks of acrylic on top of the nail or very thin layer on the tip. Third red flag was when I told her the mistakes she was making she got mad and put more powder on my nail which turned into a ball and now my nail looks more horrible than before. I asked if there was someone else that could do my nails she spoked in another language to her coworker and just told me wait for her 20 min. I said okay she then just rolled her eyes at me and was very rude. To be honest I just wanted to leave and say screw this but I am not going to be rude and step walk away plus they had just started my nails and I needed them finished. Definitely not coming back after this horrible experience. Lady's sorry but if you want nails Done go to another place save your money from this nail salon cuz this experience is not worth it.

Bless them for trying but after over an hour of having two techs work on my nails the outcome left…read moreme disappointed and out $45 with a "sorry" as I left the salon at 6:38PM. Attached are 2 pictures of my nails and the inspiration picture. Now before I even committed I ran the inspiration photo past the only tech in the salon and she confirmed she could do the same chrome and blue faded design. Yes, I knew it would never be identical but I expected something similar. I had 3 redos done on my nails with them stripping the gel off each time. What upsets me more is that they did not have the chrome powder at all and when they realized that they tried painting silver glitter polish over the clear gel used to make the lines. It was cured and left the nail bed messy when they removed everything with acetone again and again. I would have appreciated the honesty at the beginning because I would have looked up different inspirations pictures to meet their skill set. Instead what I'm left with are messy glitter nails with blue stripes. If you are looking for contemporary designs this is not the place. I'm very disappointed and sorry I wasted my time with something that should have been a pleasant experience.

The nail salon is clean, and there is a small parking lot with plenty of parking nearby if the one at the front is full. Their pedicure package has various options with good packages to pamper yourself. The prices are fair and the service is great! I also love getting Gel X or Builder Gel here. I feel like the nail artists are very talented. I usually bring a picture of what I want and they always make it happen. Overall, my experience here has been positive, and this is my go-to nail spot.

I partially blame myself because I should have notice the issue sooner. See pictures. But I noticed it after the polish applied! I did gel-x. I'm not sure if it was because he did them when I was in tbe pedicure chair. So i awkwardly had to reach over with the hand he messed up. At the end i did show him and after he huffed and puffed he said that he can fix it next time. But i think he should have offered a discount.
