My family and I used to love coming here, but I stopped liking it a while ago. I didn't realize we were coming here for Mother's Day, and this ended up being the worst experience we've had here so far. When we walked in, nobody acknowledged us. Things immediately got uncomfortable when I went to get salad and grabbed a few olives from a small cluster of maybe 3 or 4 olives. A woman started harassing me, saying she had chosen to dine there instead of getting the food to go because she loves olives. So do I, but I was there first and simply grabbed some from the spot I reached for. She immediately started yelling for a staff member and complaining that I had taken "all the olives." Instead of de-escalating the situation, the staff allowed the harassment and even joined in on it. Maybe she's a regular there, but I found the whole thing incredibly unprofessional and honestly ridiculous. When I tried to record what was happening, an older man who I assume works there started screaming at me about recording not being allowed. I did start recording once I sat down because of how ridiculous it was that she stayed there complaining more than 10 minutes later waiting on olives. He screamed at me while I was seated. One of the staff members cut directly in front of me in the buffet line and grabbed the serving spoon I was about to use. She then gave me an angry look as if I had cut in front of her instead of the other way around. She appeared out of nowhere and was unnecessarily rude. On top of that, tables were not being cleared, the food trays were barely being refilled, and there were no gloves available for hygiene. The restroom smelled like rotten eggs to the point that it made me feel sick and I ended up throwing up. I only got one plate of food and one dessert/fruit plate because I completely lost my appetite after everything. The desserts were overly sweet and dry, and the rose water tasted watered down. They also didn't have bread or beef available until we were already leaving. It wasn't that busy when we first arrived. Then came the checkout experience. The woman at the register was not listening at all. We clearly said there were 4 people, 2 of them seniors. While I was entering my phone number, she immediately announced the total was over $107. She refused to apply the senior discount or let me use the points I had accumulated. She shrugged her shoulders, acted dismissive, and honestly behaved like a spoiled teenager. My sister picked up a book from a stand that clearly said "free to take," and suddenly the cashier wanted to call the manager over because apparently we had to pay for it. I started walking away in disbelief, assuming my sister would just leave it there, but when my sister pointed out the sign, the cashier called her a thief in front of the growing line of customers. I walked back and told my sister to just leave, so she left the book on the counter and we walked out. I genuinely do not understand the point system if they refuse to honor it. I would not go out of my way to come here again, and I hope my family doesn't either. The customer service here has gone downhill significantly. They would rather let a random woman create drama over nothing and then take it out on paying customers. read more

This place is so bad that I am writing this while still sitting here because I don't want to take the chance that I will decide it is not worth my time to write this after I leave. Every dish I tried was bad!!. Salads tasted weird warm food had no flavor.... Hummus was gross (but pita bread was good and warm. They even managed to make the baklava gross (not the crispy sweet goodness you expect). The food has Mediterranean, but it was kind of a middle eastern place. Definitely not a negative though all the meats, salads, rice everything was fresh and delicious. Only draw back was people taking all the meat for to-go orders while in line, but they put out fresh new meats in minutes. Really good price for lunch and we left stuffed. Decorated well & welcoming. Gosh I wish we had this mediterranean buffet back where I lived! Not only do they have a variety of dishes (probably 20+) but the food quality is actually really good! We got a couple trays of meats, rices, veggies, and sauces to go as we were having a get together at home. I love that they have a to go option with utensils and Tupperware provided, not many buffet have that. The price per pound is pretty decent as well. the flavor and quality of the meat was excellent - I loved the kofta kabobs and the chicken kabobs. They had run out of some so I asked if they could bring out fresh kabobs and only had to wait about 5-7 minutes for it. excellent service, PLENTY of seating for the whole family, and parking as well! You have a choice to wear food safe gloves when gathering your grub... those options are handy for different folks with different strokes. Love it. The man (am assuming the manager) super sweet, walks around to ensure all is in working order. Very much appreciated. Food positives: hummus is always on point with fresh pita, like UBER yum! The roasted cauliflower is some of the best I've ever had. Tilapia strips are so good. Decor is beautiful! Negatives: the bathrooms smell horrible. But like poo bad, but like death bad. Consider some odor control in there. The hubby said the same about the mens restrooms. Food: What is going on with the honey? You can't serve baklava with watered down honey. That's just sooo wrong. Either take the honey off the bar or put up some non-corn syrup, not watered down LEGIT honey. Same with the pasta. What is the watery white sauce on your chicken parm? Just don't. Cheap shortcuts like this make the establishment look bad. Cover the lamb (gyros) so they don't dry out. Remove the white stuff of the steamed broccoli. It's yuck. Maybe grill them like the cauliflower... because again... it was delish. So many chicken dishes and they were ALL watered down. At this point just make soup. Friend chicken was good, but only legs were available. The good out weighed the bad, it was a tossup between 3/4 stars. We paid for a buffet but was only able to eat a few items... But I believe... if you can fix some of the food items, it will be much much better! I'd encourage management to do a few tastes of what's coming out on to the service bar to see what's up. We visited Dimassi's Buffet around 7 PM, and unfortunately, it was a big letdown. Many trays were empty, some salads were missing, and the food that remained was stale and left sitting out. Nothing was being refilled, so it felt like we were paying for leftovers. For families, this is especially frustrating -- picky eaters have very little to choose from, and even the dessert was a disappointment. The soft-serve ice cream tasted strange and was way too sugary. Overall, not worth the price and definitely not somewhere we'd return. read more

I've read the reviews and wish people noted the location because it makes a difference. I have nothing but rave reviews for the location in Fairview (or is it Allen)... Stacy and 75. It's clean, the food is fresh, and the staff is nice. They provide plastic gloves too so you aren't passing around germs from the serving utensils. The location at 121/Preston is in serious disrepair. The roof leaks, the place is filthy and they refuse to put out fresh food until dishes are completely empty. One time I was there, I noticed one cold piece of pizza. It was there the entire time until someone took it for their kid. About 10 minutes later, they brought out a fresh pizza. Most of the time, the favorite dishes are empty because they don't even start the next batch until everything is gone. The location on Campbell has extremely rude management and I have to wonder what goes on in the kitchen. I got some of the grilled eggplant and it tasted like a cleaning chemical. Everything else was fine but the eggplant. I told the manager when I was leaving to check the dish. Something was wrong with it. I wasn't asking for a discount or anything. He argued that it was pomegranate molasses, like I just wasn't accustomed to such an exotic ingredient. I stressed it was a chemical like ammonia and was going to make people sick. Well I was attending a conference across the street and started getting sick about 15 minutes after leaving Dimassi's. I was violently ill for 3 days. I've never been back. Never ate Mediterranean style food in Allen before and I've lived here for 40 years! Oh what an experience awaits you in terms of quantity and quality of food! The ambiance and size of the restaurant is big and that's perfectly good if not great for larger parties. The food is delicious and plentiful! There was nothing I didn't like! Very disappointed with this place! WAS my daughter and I's go to restaurant but not anymore. The guy at the register charged my 9 year old daughter an adults price. I brought it up to his attention and he tried coming up with dumb excuses to justify the overcharge. He said that ofter 6:00 kids 9 1/2 until 10 years old get charged as an adult. RIDICULOUS . The drinks are self served and meets the basic selection. Bakhlava, jellos, fruits and a tasty rice pudding ends the meal The ambiance was under-lit and dreary. Title: Rude service, missing items, wasted trip and the most humiliating experience for buying food from Dimassi's: I ordered a large hummus from Dimassi's through Postmates and their Postmates menu clearly says it comes with four pita breads. The driver showed up with only the hummus and explained the restaurant hadn't provided any pita. When I phoned the restaurant, the person who answered said the only way to get the missing bread was to drive over myself--no apology, no offer to redeliver. He did promise "a free meal next time," but that didn't help me in the moment. So I paused my work, drove ~20 minutes, and walked in with my receipt in hand. The employee at the counter looked me up and down, scolded me for arriving "too early," and claimed pita wasn't included because it wasn't printed on the receipt. I showed him the Postmates menu on my phone and even took a screenshot. Only then did he grudgingly hand over the pita--and he snatched the receipt back from me while doing it. In the end, I spent nearly $20 (item, fees, taxes, tip) for a $9 dish, plus my own gas and time, and was treated disrespectfully the entire way. I won't be ordering from this Dimassi's again, and I'd urge anyone who values basic courtesy--and receiving the food you actually paid for--to think twice. read more

Went to the dimassis on Stacy road. Don't eat at this location - it's the Worst tasting Damassis of the 6 I have visited. Salads pasta rice look good but zero flavor. Bland. Tasteless. Not even worth eating. Dolmas dried out and pasty. Fries cold. Grilled cauliflower super dry and cold. The food seemed old but I got there at 11:30 am. Left over from the day before? I don't eat the expensive meat dishes they have so the falafel is my protein. All the locations constantly run out. Today I waited 20 minutes for falafel and got some at the end of my meal, so overcooked they were dried out and burned tasting. I spoke to the cashier who said they were normal. Went for dinner with my mom and it was good. The woman at the front was super friendly and did an amazing job of attending to the guests and various requests. Super friendly and did an excellent job of managing the restaurant. Certainly nice to see this level of service and she was very welcoming. I know it's only been a month so hopefully some of the "kinks" smooth out. Little detail always matter so I want to leave an honest rating and feedback. Honestly I was somewhat satisfied with my visit. I was hoping for the same experience and standards as the Frisco location which I rate a perfect 5. For some reason the quality and taste of the food wasn't as good as that location. Not as much variety and took a while to wait on replacing certain dishes. The humus wasn't as smooth, the taste of all the items was okay and some dishes were way too salty or not hot enough. The pita bread wasn't hot and was a bit too doughy and dense. Not as good as the Frisco location which is hands-down the best Mediterranean buffet I've ever had so my standards are high. Some standout items to me- I enjoyed their tabouli, rice dishes, kale Caesar salad and the falafel was pretty good. Also, I enjoyed their baklava and desserts. The restaurant was clean and I noticed they wiped down the tables with bleach or commercial grade sanitizer after guests left. All guests wore masks and kept social distancing. I didn't like how plates were stacked and not cleared right away, noticed some tables not clean upon arriving and the floor was less kept with paper napkins. Also, there were paper plates out at one point which was rather strange for any restaurant. Not sure if they were dishwashing but there weren't a lot of guests during my visit. I have high hopes things will turn around if they follow a similar model and recipes as their Frisco location. If so, I'll be back in a heartbeat! UPDATE- impressed with my second visit! Wow! This place has the best and largest Mediterranean buffet that I have ever seen! There is a wide variety of salads that are so fresh ! The main dish selection was good as well. You can choose from chicken, lamb or beef dishes. They also have fruit and dessert. I wish I could tell you the names of the food, but sorry, I can't remember. The pictures show exactly what you're getting, and it looks that good in person too! I wish they would open a place in Colorado Springs, we need something besides Asian buffets. read more
