The food tastes fresh, and it's a step above the typical Asian buffets you find around the U.S. They have a wider selection of sushi, and it's actually quite good. The beef also stood out--juicy, savory, and flavorful. The interior of the restaurant is clean and elegantly decorated. One thing I didn't love was the smoky scent from the incense. I usually associate that with temples, so I didn't expect it in a dining setting, and it took away slightly from the experience for me. Let me start by saying that I write a place based on how well they do what it is they're supposed to do. In other words, I'm not going to knock a buffet just because it's a buffet. With that in mind, as far as buffets go, this place has everything you could want... And if you can't find something you want, well, you're just not looking hard enough. The Mongolian grill is the best I have seen in a Chinese buffet. The sushi selection is top notch. Everything is fresh...maybe with the exception of the crab on Christmas Day. Also, the dumpling options are plentiful and delicious. There is so much to choose from, you could come here every week for a year and have a different (really good and satisfying) meal each time. For a buffet, this spot is pretty good. They have a big variety of food options and different stations to satisfy everyone. This includes a build-your-own Mongolian bowl, sushi bar, and dim sum area. This place is packed! There must be 200 people here. This has got to be the largest Asian buffet I have ever seen. There was seating at the front while you wait for a table, which we were told would be 10 minutes. Three minutes later, they were seating us. My favorite, which would be the seafood, they had fried battered shrimp, lightly seasoned fried shrimp with the head and shell still on then they had boiled shrimp and then some type of small popcorn shrimp in a sauce. All of which were good. The fried rice was decent so was the orange chicken. My wife said she didn't like the Mongolian beef. However, I found they had these large chunks of meat that were soft, but in some sort of sauce like gravy. Don't know what they call that, but that was good. My wife enjoyed the desserts, as for me, my dessert would be another plate of bowl shrimp. The only complaint I would have is that there was no cocktail sauce. I know that's an American thing but still I think it would be better than ketchup. Most of the other sauces they offered, which there were quite a few I just did not like dipping my shrimp in. Horrible experience! The food wasn't too bad but it definitely was not as flavorful as it was in the past. Everything had some kind of off taste sour taste to it. The plates felt greasy as if they were not scrubbed. The table was greasy. There was a fortune paper in my cup, so that left me without a doubt that they don't properly wash their dishes. As I was leaving, I was provoked by the waiter since I did not leave a tip. Yelling at me saying I didn't sign the receipt after I already payed. Every review can be boiled down to basically two factors, how much did you pay and what did you get for what you paid. My question is where can you get a multitude of AYCE good Chinese dishes, good buffalo wings, decent salad and dessert options, good sushi, a great Mongolian BBQ, and excellent service for this price? If I was paying $30 or $40, I might take a star off, but you can barely eat at McDonald's or Taco Bell for under $15. And I've had my drink run out at fine dining restaurants and other more expensive places, at Asian Buffet my drink never reached the bottom before they they brought me another glass, excellent service. Went to this restaurant again today on Sunday it's super crowded. Tried some different foods the beef broccoli was good, the fried rice was good and so were the jello deserts and chicken nuggets. The noodles were chopped up short so you can't serve yourself a big scoop. They weren't that good and kind of mediocre. Fried rice was actually better. The stuffed mushrooms tasted sour like they were starting to spoil. That's a no, no, when mushrooms taste bad. I noticed they don't clean their bathrooms and don't refill the toilet paper and only one paper towel holder was working with very short timing on the size towel you get. You get like half a towel or less. There were trash cans inside each toilet stall and people put their dirty toilet paper in the trash cans instead of flushing them down the toilet. This was gross very disgusting, will have to think about coming back to this place. Imagine how the kitchen looks. Hope for everybody's sake they keep the food clean and wash their hands often. No toilet paper in 4 stalls and only 1 stall had toilet paper now that's pretty bad They are pretty busy taking in the money for their buffet to bother cleaning the toilets, and restocking paper. Customers are like cattle to this place, taking their money and moving them out. Noticed big messes around the ice cream area and cookie areas. Overcrowded and they don't have a limit. Leaving the messes and not cleaning up is not acceptable. Customers, as well as employee can get sick. You won't see me again, unless you clean up and sanitize. read more

One of my guilty pleasure movies is "Pretty in Pink." While most chicks were drooling over Andrew McCarthy's preppy ass Blane, I was digging James Spader's Steff far more. In one of the worst scenes of any movie I've ever seen, Molly Ringwald's Andie is seen taking these two awesome pink dresses and cutting them up. The build up on this is huge - I remember picturing some amazing designer gown with embellishments of rhinestones fit for a princess. When Andie comes out to show her dad the dress I remember my eyes blinking out of control. I could not believe or process what she'd done. There, in pepto pink gaudiness, was Andie wearing the absolute ugliest sack of a dress I'd ever seen. It wasn't just kind of unflattering - she looked like a home ec project gone wrong. I wanted to smack her for destroying two perfectly good dresses. Asian Buffet is nothing more than a potato sack dress. You listen to the hype, hell...you even wait half an hour AT A BUFFET to eat, you have so much optimism about how they are going to take the old stuff and make it revolutionary and you finally get the food and realize you've been Ringwalded. It's worse than being Rickrolled. There is another buffet in McKinney that's serving the damn food but people are transfixed on this new potato sack. It's cleaner, but I swear there was zilch food wise that merits a wait. There's barely any seafood, many people aren't using the utensils and were using hands and it's extremely overpriced for what it offers. It's so packed that the moment some general Tsos chicken comes out it's gone within seconds. Wake up McKinney. Don't let yourself be Ringwalded. It's nothing special. read more
