This entity not ONLY SAVED MONEY on electricity bill, but FORSING customers to leave earlier and save on price of food. I couldn't sustain 80+ temperature and left after 25 minutes. Temperature inside was normal, comfortable. Outside was 104 (!) F. During previous visit to Asian Buffet on July 14 was SAME HOT INSIDE but MAXIMUM outside temperature was 90 F (See data link: https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/mckinney/75069/july-weather/335923). That why on Aug 14 I took thermometer to make sure that (as my opinion) your business uses the scheme to save food by creating an inconvenient environment for customers, which is why they will leave your restaurant earlier than planned. Definitely one of our favorite Chinese buffets in the area. They're consistently fresh and good service which is rare. Overall it's clean and well kept up. Food has nice variety. It's what food expect for a Chinese buffet. Not fancy gourmet but great food for the price! + Mongolian BBQ is our favorite thing for sure + Dim sum options are nice + Sushi isn't half bad + Honestly all the hot foods are pretty good and you have things like crabs, crawfish and even clams For the price, you can't beat it! read more

This is my second time coming to this location and it's been amazing every time. The food is always hot and they keep the buffet fully stocked. There's something for everybody there's even chicken nuggets and fries for the picky eaters... my kids love the chocolate fountain, and I love the sushi and the salmon and all of the sautéed vegetables. Parking is amble and there's so much seating. There's even a party room. The restaurant is Price reasonably. The staff are always very attentive. The restaurant itself is so beautiful. This place is fairly good overall. They offer a variety of options, including dim sum, sushi, and flan, which I really enjoyed. The food tastes fresh, and it's a step above the typical Asian buffets you find around the U.S. They have a wider selection of sushi, and it's actually quite good. The beef also stood out--juicy, savory, and flavorful. The interior of the restaurant is clean and elegantly decorated. One thing I didn't love was the smoky scent from the incense. I usually associate that with temples, so I didn't expect it in a dining setting, and it took away slightly from the experience for me. Let me start by saying that I write a place based on how well they do what it is they're supposed to do. In other words, I'm not going to knock a buffet just because it's a buffet. With that in mind, as far as buffets go, this place has everything you could want... And if you can't find something you want, well, you're just not looking hard enough. The Mongolian grill is the best I have seen in a Chinese buffet. The sushi selection is top notch. Everything is fresh...maybe with the exception of the crab on Christmas Day. Also, the dumpling options are plentiful and delicious. There is so much to choose from, you could come here every week for a year and have a different (really good and satisfying) meal each time. How are you not sure about the ingredients you use!?! Not to mention that when I was eating the fish it had a green dye to it and had the texture of moist soggy meatloaf. NASTY! I asked to see the manager and he had the audacity to say that the green dye color was "cilantro", NO cilantro will leave such an abundant shade of green. Very disappointed. I am a picky eater and the only thing I eat is their shrimp in a cocunut sauce. I called ahead and was told to be there before 3:30 because it is on the lunch menu. We drove from Bonham to McKinney Tx. 45 minute drive. We were there by 3:15. They had it sitting in tray with no heat-steam etc. I only ate 1 scoop of rice, 1 scoop of vegetable steamed noodles, 1 egg drop soup and 1/2 a banana with red sauce. I tried to eat the dry cold cocunut shrimp. I went up and showed them my plate and complained that because the cocunut shrimp was the only food I came for that I should not be charged for my portion of the 20.00 buffet. The girl had them cook me fresh cocunut shrimp and instead of giving it to me as part of the buffet she charged me an extra 12.00 dollars. I had told her them recooking it was not necessary. She said it was , so I assumed she was including the fresh shrimp to give me food to eat to make the buffet worth it for me. So because of the old cocunut sauce shrimp I not only was charged 20.00 and 12.00. Then I had to go to the ER with scrombroid poisoning. It prevents as an allergic reaction with lots of itching , hives, throat closing. Apparently their shrimp had been left out too long unattended. Never going to the Asian Buffet in McKinney ever again. Besides the 32.00 I was charged for the buffet with unattended old shrimp and the recooked shrimp I didn't want. I was rushed to the ER to deal with the fact that shrimp was not at a controlled temperature while sitting there. Go at your own risk. This place is packed! There must be 200 people here. This has got to be the largest Asian buffet I have ever seen. There was seating at the front while you wait for a table, which we were told would be 10 minutes. Three minutes later, they were seating us. My favorite, which would be the seafood, they had fried battered shrimp, lightly seasoned fried shrimp with the head and shell still on then they had boiled shrimp and then some type of small popcorn shrimp in a sauce. All of which were good. The fried rice was decent so was the orange chicken. My wife said she didn't like the Mongolian beef. However, I found they had these large chunks of meat that were soft, but in some sort of sauce like gravy. Don't know what they call that, but that was good. My wife enjoyed the desserts, as for me, my dessert would be another plate of bowl shrimp. The only complaint I would have is that there was no cocktail sauce. I know that's an American thing but still I think it would be better than ketchup. Most of the other sauces they offered, which there were quite a few I just did not like dipping my shrimp in. They had so much food and so many different stations, you could build your own plate where a guy was cooking on a wok for you, you could get your own dumplings and make your own soups. Horrible experience! The food wasn't too bad but it definitely was not as flavorful as it was in the past. Everything had some kind of off taste sour taste to it. The plates felt greasy as if they were not scrubbed. The table was greasy. There was a fortune paper in my cup, so that left me without a doubt that they don't properly wash their dishes. As I was leaving, I was provoked by the waiter since I did not leave a tip. Yelling at me saying I didn't sign the receipt after I already payed. Every review can be boiled down to basically two factors, how much did you pay and what did you get for what you paid. If I was paying $30 or $40, I might take a star off, but you can barely eat at McDonald's or Taco Bell for under $15. And I've had my drink run out at fine dining restaurants and other more expensive places, at Asian Buffet my drink never reached the bottom before they they brought me another glass, excellent service.
