Service Department Review: Great business!!! Great Service!!! I've taken my niece's Macbook Air to Di-No twice and both times they fixed her computer with quick, efficient, and friendly service. My niece is hard on her computer, so the first time we went to Di-No, she had broken off part of her headphone jack inside the computer. The guys at Di-No took about 30 to 45 minutes trying to get it out. They passed the computer from one guy to the next and SOMEHOW, they got it out!!! Miracle. They didn't even charge my niece for the time spent on her computer. Fast forward three months. The screen on her Macbook Air had a line (with snow/fuzz/haze) about two inches wide from top to bottom, so anything in that area was the dead zone. You couldn't see anything. She used her computer like that for the whole semester, but since she was on winter break, she asked me to take it to the Apple store to see if they can fix it. In the previous two weeks, we took it to Apple and they told her that she had about a month left on her computer warranty, so it would be wise to fix it before then. They said they could send the computer out to be repaired and if it wasn't covered under warranty then it would be $755 plus tax to fix the screen and top case. When I took it to the Apple store a few days ago, they looked at the computer and said the dent on one of the corners near the bottom of the screen would void the warranty (remember my niece is hard on her computer), so we'd have to pay either $450 plus tax to replace the screen in-house or if we wanted to send the computer out to the service center it would be $755 plus tax because the service center would have to fix the screen and the top case (they can't allow the computer to be returned with a dent). I told the Apple guy that the dent did not cause the screen problem, but that didn't matter to Apple. Given this information, my niece said she wanted to just use the computer and not get it fixed, so I left the Apple store, but before I left the Apple store they gave me a list of Apple Authorized Providers and he said these providers might be able to fix the computer for less. After talking it over with my niece, my sister called and said to get the computer fixed for $755. I told her I'd check to see if an Apple Authorized Provider could fix it for less and if they could I would have them fix it. Earlier this week, I called Di-No since they were on the list of Apple Authorized Providers and asked them how much it might be to fix. The guy on the phone said to bring the computer in for them to look at. I brought it down there on Tuesday (12/21) and they looked at it. They said they would try and get the screen replaced under warranty and if I wanted the top case replaced for $249.00 plus tax. I figured Di-No does the repair work in-house and could be just as good, if not better than the Apple store. I agreed to get the top case fixed. By Friday (12/23) afternoon, Di-No called and said the computer was fixed and the total bill came out to $270.79 and the computer was ready to be picked up. Very cool I thought! I picked up the computer that afternoon and it looks brand new. Thank you Di-No!!! (If I had Apple send the computer out to be fixed, it would have taken longer and cost more.) Xie Xie!!! read more

My MacBook had a few keyboard issues. I thought it was still under warranty but after checking realized it had just expired. I went to get a quote and they told me my MacBook keyboard just happened to fall under their keyboard recall program. I waited for them to order and the keyboard was replaced same day it arrived at the store. I can tell their employees treat my laptop with great care. Everyone on the staff was very nice. HOWEVER, all I wanted was a battery for my laptop. I was told it would take about ten days. On the tenth day, I phone to find out what is happening with my laptop. I was told that they were waiting for Apple to ship them a box in which to send the laptop to have the battery replaced. I asked when did you intend to tell me that you have not yet even shipped out the laptop? Had I been told this would be the procedure, I would have taken my laptop home and waited for them to tell me the Apple shipping box had arrived. Although they are nice people, all of them, they are pretty much a group of nerds without the ability to put themselves in other people's shoes. I will attempt to put the battery into my computer myself even though there is the risk of harming it. It is better than going through this Keystone Cops procedure again. read more

Expeditious service in fixing my Mac mini and got a direct answer if my MacBook Air is fixable or not. Dropped them off one day (of course with appointment) and got them picked up the next day. Two weeks ago, the display on my 16" Macbook Pro that I got last December decided to fail on me with a black screen and a line of dead pixels. This happened with me just opening the laptop like normal and no prior impact so you can imagine my surprise that evening. I did not have Apple Care, but my limited warranty was still valid. Because of COVID-19, I couldn't take it to a Genius Bar so I called and chatted numerous reps from Apple Support instead. Pretty much was told that it would be considered "accidental damage" and fixing it would probably be $700+. Having spent $2k+ already on the initial laptop purchase, that was pretty upsetting to hear. Ended up calling Di-No to get a 2nd opinion, but their initial assessment over the phone was the same. At that point though, I just wanted it fixed and they were generous enough to squeeze me into their schedule for a diagnosis. Dropped off my laptop and received a call from Pedro by the end of the day telling me that he looked it over and will fix it under warranty since there were no signs of damage that would have caused the failed display. I was thrilled and after a week, my laptop is back in my hands and good as new! It took a little longer but that is totally understandable with COVID-19. I wish I could give this place 10 stars because of how much Di-No computers has helped me. I accidentally spilled some water on my MacBook Pro keyboard and spoke to Pedro on the phone as soon as I got off work (which is really, got off my other computer at home). He let me know I could come right away and he helped me when I got there. Initially, one of my charging ports didn't work and the left speaker seemed to stop working. Pedro updated me twice in the span of 30 minutes to keep me informed on what damage was done. We tested it out afterwards and he checked every single key -- alas, ALL WAS WELL and my computer was fixed!! read more

Went to Di-No to fix a cracked screen on my iPhone. Call and they said they could see me right away, so I went straight there. Guy saw the crack on my screen and took off the casing, only to find out the crack was only on my screen protector! No damage to my iPhone, so the guy just cleaned the screen and handed my iPhone back to me! Though Di-No did not need to fix my phone, they were very friendly and professional. Not really the best business model, if you ask me. I can buy a BRAND NEW Macbook for $1300.00. I brought them my MacBook which is 6+ years old and they tell me to "fully repair it with parts and labor is $800.00". So let me ask you a question: are you buying a new computer OR paying them $800.00 to fix an old one? Poor business model. Charge me 2-3-400 and keep me on the hook as a loyal customer, don't tell me it's cheaper to go buy a brand new computer...you just lost a customer...and won't gain one back. Ever. read more

Charge $10 over list price for adapters. Go to Amazon or the vendors website. And Best Buy or Apple retail stores stock computers they have to order. And NEVER go there for a battery replacement in a new (post 2016 MacBook Pro or 2019 air) machine. Go to the Apple Store. These guys are awesome!!! I called Apple about a week ago since all their stores are closed and I needed to get my screen fixed. They gave me a number to their local authorized repair center since they had a 2-4week wait time and getting worse. I called Di-No computers and they gave me an appointment to drop off my phone. Their service is a bit adapt to current situation at the moment and can't really say they're "open", but they are working... I have insurance on my phone and they told me it would be ~$30. okay great! 3-4hrs: perfect! They called me maybe 2-3hrs later and told me my phone was fixed and done under warranty so no charge to me. I probably buy my next Apple product here if they sell any. I have recurring issue to iPad update that would freeze my iPad and not able to restore with error msg 9 . I went in apple store before inline for 1-2 hours , restored in 10-15 mins but it was able to restore with a Mac but impossible to update or restore on my windows iTunes. Demetri was extremely helpful , kind and reassuring. Price quote was very reasonable. It was fixed so quickly without the wait. The mature guy in front of me was waiting for his Apple laptop fixed and walked out with great relief and joy saying " they really do the best job...i am so happy. " and you can see the big smile behind the face mask, lol I highly recommend this store and it is a blessing to have such integrous good business open helping general public at this critical time and not charging extra. I have an old Mac, like 10 years old, old but it looks like new, the screen suddenly boots to gray. My son brought it here. They said they couldn't fix it. Too old they said, parts not available. Okay I said, so can I get a data transfer? They said okay. Labor 135 dollars to transfer my data, and a 35 dollar diagnostic fee. Their diagnosis: The problem: Storage DX boots to gray screen. Booting externally goes to gray screen. Logic issue per Di NO.
