A beachy and young-staffed spot with pastries and delicious biscuit breakfast sandwiches! I've had this place bookmarked for who knows how long now! Given I wanted something small, but tasty for my late breakfast, I remember this spot and how I bookmarked it for their delicious looking biscuit breakfast sandwiches. Plus, my co-worker who recently told me he loved them so I had to see for myself! I ordered mine without bacon (default option comes with it), which had tomato, avocado, egg, cheddar cheese, and their house aioli (which is super salty is you have too much or use it as dip for your pretzel so don't do that! Lol). I'm glad I didn't have to worry about a long line since I came in the early afternoon. Try it if you're near, or if you have been looking to try like me! I have come here many times and still have mixed feelings about this spot. Baked goods - I've tried scones, muffins, breads, lemon bar, and carrot cake. All good/ok but can't say it stands out. I come here largely because there isn't anywhere else in the neighborhood with these options unless you count Safeway. Coffee and tea - between my husband and me, they tend to serve us tepid "hot" drinks. I don't need McDonald's coffee kind of scalding hot but most certainly would love my chai and coffee to be hotter than lukewarm. Maybe I'm getting the bottom of the barrel liquid but also think it's incumbent upon the shop to stay on top of the temperature of their hot drinks. Breakfast sandwich - this sandwich makes up for their subpar drinks. It's a dense sandwich on a homemade biscuit, very filling and satisfying especially after a morning workout :) It's worthwhile to get if you're in the area. While I won't go out of my way to come to the Sunset for this (due to personal preferences), their breakfast sandwich is their crown jewel and something people wait in long lines to buy. Although the breakfast sandwich is good, I think this spot is a bit overrated. Nothing else really stands out and they are very inconsistent with their hot drinks. read more

I got the special breakfast sandwich and substituted the bacon for tomato to make it vegetarian. I loved it! The house made lemon aoili was so flavorful and complimented to richness of the biscuit. The small sandwich was dense and very filling. You have to get here early (before 9) on the weekends to avoid a long line. It's so popular in the community. read more

Everyone raves about the special breakfast sandwich, and rightfully so; it's divine! Simple elements that work extremely well together. Bacon, scrambled egg, garlic aioli, pepper jack cheese, and avocado on a homemade biscuit. I am not a biscuit person and I thought it was flawless (give me a sausage McMuffin any day of the week). Even if you are not a biscuit person, give it a try. It wasn't dry or crumbly, and tasted fresh and fluffy. Probably the best breakfast I've had in SF (and this includes the myriad overhyped brunch spots). Devils teeth is a local's paradise, and it shows; they don't take themselves too seriously. My one nitpick on the sandwich was the bacon, which was a bit to crispy and crunchy for my taste, but this could be solved if you ask for it soft. I also tried the carrot cake, which was fresh and moist, and a good ratio of cream to cake. You will see me back here again! read more

BEWARE of the birds outside. They will swoop in and take your breakfast sandwich. I don't blame em. But they are brazen. lol Sandwiches are delicious so I don't blame em but taking off stars for no longer have Cholula or any hot sauce available. Didn't really visit this part of SF while I was visiting but knew I had to get out there to try this delicious sandwich or I was going to regret it. So on my last morning, headed out there and boy it did not disappoint. Breakfast sandwich was absolutely delicious. The sandwich itself was tasty but the fresh biscuit really sealed the deal. Also snagged a gingerbread cookie that I ate as I walked along the beach just a couple blocks down. Glad I didn't miss it read more

This bakery has been a staple on our family walks for years. The breakfast sandwich is hands down the best I've ever had. It is literally my benchmark any time I order from anywhere else, and nothing ever compares. The staff is always friendly and since they still maintain a one family in at a time, it never feels crowded when you're ordering. Just be prepared to wait in line if you get there after 9am. I accidentally ordered to the wrong location through Yelp and when I went through customer service agent they said it was up to the business to agree to issue as refund. The Noriega location refused to issue a refund after I was at the balboa location and paid for a second order. Terrible customer service. Not happy with paying twice. They could have easily issued a refund. read more

Bookmarked for a while, I finally paid a visit one early afternoon on a Saturday to Devil's Teeth Baking Company. The main selling item that attracted my visit was the special breakfast sandwich. A tasty and very filling sandwich of savory crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, creamy avocado and melted pepper jack cheese in between two slices of crumbly warm buttermilk biscuits was absolutely delicious. The mistake was ordering only one to share. These sandwiches are made to order and it takes a while to prepare them. We also shared a donut muffin and cinnamon roll. The donut muffin was crispy outside but very doughy inside. And the cinnamon roll huge! The edges were hard, so cutting it into smaller pieces was tough and sloppy. Both were worth a try, but I wouldn't reorder either again. Overall quick service (except for the breakfast sandwiches) and nice staff. Very hipster-y environment and crowd, but a good place to get breakfast sweets on the weekend. read more

If you are in search of a large breakfast sandwich look no further. My sister told me to look up this business before we head to San Francisco so we could put in on our list of possible places to visit. One look and I knew I wanted to try it. We came in on a Thursday in the late morning and they had a steady flow of customers. We ordered the following the special breakfast sandwich for me, my sister the same but substituted the type of cheese (which they did happily), and milk and a cookie for my son. Our order was ready in about 10 minutes and we got it to go. There is much of an indoor seating area and it was a little cold to sit outside. Once we ate the food it was very good. I personally didn't care much for the ailoi but other that that it was good. The biscuit was large and flaky, the bacon and egg was perfectly cooked and had fresh slices of avocado. I think if I came back again I'd either get the same sandwich or try one of their amazing looking pastries because so much of it looked tasty. read more

First time here! The line was very long, considering it is a popular place in the city. I ordered the special breakfast sandwich & the first bite in I was going crazy! The Garlic - Lemony taste from the sauce was amazing! Unfortunately, the sandwich got really dry afterwards. Considering it's a biscuit sandwich! Their special breakfast sandwich is labeled special for a reason. The two biscuits with bacon, egg, avocado, etc is to DIE for. Devil's Teeth did not disappoint with their hype. It was a nice Sunday noon busy but a nice stop if for coffee or a pastry in the area. The biscuits I would come back for! Tip: add some hot sauce to the sandwich and it'll elevate the taste. The staff are extremely friendly as they know and I appreciate local SF bakeries that serve their neighborhood customers in mind. Get the special (you can take out the bacon if you're not into that) - something about their special house made aioli and the combo with the egg, avocado, and cheese + their house baked biscuits = pure perfection. I've been putting off visiting Devil's Teeth because it's SO FAR down on Noriega. Finally had the chance to drop by today and Im very glad I did! Shop is small and more of a grab and go setup. They have a variety of pastries that I stared at for a few indecisive minutes before I settled on the bread pudding muffin and the oatmeal cranberry cookie. Cookie was a little too sweet for my liking. Meanwhile, the muffin was amazing - soft, a little chewy, and full of chocolate chips and a layer of nuts in the middle. Delicious! If this bakery was on 24th I'd go every morning, so maybe it's a blessing that it's all the way down near the ocean. read more

Sometimes even the simple things are hard. Like a bowl of scrambled eggs or avocado toast. Eggs were overcooked and rubbery felt like they also microwaved them to reheat The avocado toast desperately needed salt and pepper at least salt please! Upside the order I put in was ready when we arrived. So good on service. Ambiance outside is yucky with pigeon poo everywhere. Loved this place in the past wish it hadn't changed. read more

I have to say this is one of my top ten breakfast spots in the Bay Area hands down. The regular or the special on the menu board is a KILLER TOP CHOICE!!! and on a home made fluffy biscuit? HELL NO!!! INSANE! to die for. Take your time looking through the menu and don't worry about who is behind you they can wait. Lol. The customers tend to be young, healthy folks; stopping by after a bike, surf, or run with friends. The rain and cold and cramp space has no affect on their carefree mood. Everyone is smiling and glowing with endorphins. All I got to say is get the ultimate breakfast sandwich. With avocado. It's a ultra soft buttermilk biscuit, with soft scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese and this luscious aoili they put on there. Avocado. All those flavors melted together is out of this world. So peppery, savory, sweet from the biscuit, and rich. The best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Get that! I bought the sourdough bread in the hope it would taste as good as their biscuits, but could not be more wrong. The bread weighs a ton and requres shark teeths to eat it cold or warm, and a ruminant stomach to digest, Lacks texture, super dense, flavor is not there, a far cry from the What a disappointment a bakery that can't even make the bread right, I will use this loaf at the bottom of the bay as an anchor. read more

The cocktails are cheap for San Francisco, and the beer selection is decent. And the food is dense and delicious without being too heavy. I shared the catfish with crawfish etouffee (special), the gumbo, and a dungeness crab beignet with my boyfriend. We also ordered some banana cream pie for the table, which was a huge hit.

The real standout was the potatoes -- absolutely amazing. The bacon was just as good and honestly ended up being my favorite part of the meal. Overall, no complaints about the food or service. Would I come back? Probably... but only if the wait wasn't so long.

Anyone who grew up with me knows my absolute hankering for sweets. But, since growing a bit older (hopefully wiser) and a bit more health conscious, I've suppressed a lot of my sugary habits... Until now. Oh Lord, forgive me for I have sinned. Even the thought of consuming sweets sends me into a guilt trip. That being said, I have heard so many great things about Devil's Teeth Baking Company and decided to make the trek from SOMA to the outer Sunset District just for this place. And with a name like Devil's Teeth, who wouldn't be slightly seduced? And like the forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden, I knew I shouldn't have been anywhere near it. Oh well! Sometimes you just gotta YOLO it! *throws scruples to the wind* Upon arrival, as I opened my car door, I could immediately smell the aroma of delicious baked goods permeating through the air. It was like a delicate lullaby to my nose tempting me to come closer. God please help me to resist temptation as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. As I walked into the store, my heart skipped a beat. There they were. Cookies, croissants, cinnamon rolls, danishes and a plethora of other delightful delicacies sat behind the glass display ready to be devoured. I really really really really DO try hard to make healthy choices, but today was NOT going to be that day. The first thing my eyes settled on was a large peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. The angel on my shoulder said not to, but the devil on my shoulder said come on, just try a little. The chocolate chips were so large and numerous throughout the cookie that I was convinced that maybe a small bite wouldn't hurt. Next my eyes shifted to the crumb cake. I grew up eating cheap ol' Little Debbie's and thought that even then, it was the greatest thing in the world. Since those Little Debbie days, I've learned a thing or two about quality and let's just say that this coffee crumb cake had it goin' on in all aspects! Soft, delicately sweet, with a bit of a tart flavor from the rhubarb. Sweet Lordy Jesus. By now I had no conscious at all. Just give me the goodz! I also purchased the cinnamon roll. Words cannot describe what I tasted and felt, but let me go ahead and try. Soft Gooey Sweet Cinnamony Crunchy. You name it. This forbidden "fruit" was better than I had ever imagined. I needed something to wash this all down before leaving, so I decided to go with one of their house made mango juices from the fridge. A perfect way to end such a sugary trip. Prices are a tad high, but for the quality and flavor you get, it is well worth the extra pennies. They have outdoor seating that is great for relaxing with your coffee or pastries, or to even just chatting with your friends. This place is kid friendly and has colorful chalk for children to draw on the city walkways with. They also serve savory dishes, sandwiches and sourdough bread. So, if you aren't in the mood for something sweet, there are plenty of other options to choose from at this bakery. The only excuse I have for going on such a sugar crazed frenzy is "The devil made me do it." Yeah, that's it. I want to start off by giving a heads up to the owners, who decided to open such a fantastic bakery on this street. It is exactly what the neighbor hood needed. The owners are wonderful, always very interested in who you are, and what your about- It makes one feel good to be asked questions- because it shows they truly want to get to know their customers. I have a lot to say about this place.. so hold on to your seats. The staff: About 95% of the staff are sweet, and overly attentive. But lately the same two young girls, have given me less than standard service.. For example, when I came in by myself to get a few things- the young Asian girl with glasses and black hair and another girl with brown hair and blue eyes- ignore me- especially if there is other young men in the bakery. Normally I wouldn't consider this a problem, but it has happened now more than a few times.. It doesn't make any sense to me, because EVERYONE ELSE is SOOO overly nice and polite!??!? BUT I still come here because I love the food and the location.. right by the beach. OK now for the food: In the latest issue of 7x7 magazine that frequents my office... there was an article about the "top 10 places to eat in the outer sunset". What made me SO happy, is that Devil's Teeth scored 2nd place out of 10 for their breakfast sandwich!!! The breakfast sandwich I have had it REALLY good- and then other time disappointing.. but hold on let me emphasize that when its GOOD- its REALLY GOOD. It's a home made fresh biscuit, cheddar cheese, bacon, and what they call their "two egg-er"- which is an enormously sized scrambled egg.. When it's "good" it's due to the perfection of the ratio portion of the bacon, egg, and cheese.. I read in the article that there is to be 3 strips of bacon when in fact... it is ONE piece of bacon folded over. Last time I brought one home for my wife, she opened it up and saw little else but a daunting 4 inch egg-er in the sandwich.. I hate to say this but she just threw the egg to our two labs.. they seemed to like it. it was way too much and over powered the rest of it. But either way I cant deny it is one of my favorite things on their menu. -Pie: The strawberry pie is by far my favorite. Lately they have been doing a strawberry and blueberry blend- which is alright, but my favorite is the plain strawberry! The banana creme pie is second to none and I dream of it often :) -Muffins: My favorite muffin- by far is the black berry muffin.. the blackberry banana is also great as well as the blueberry banana. I can woof down these heavenly muffins in a sitting- that's how good they are. I also highly enjoy the donut muffin, but the fruit muffins are by far the BEST, possibly that Ive ever had in my LIFE! - As far as the rest: The Cheese cake- is AMAZING. I love this little topping they put over it.. its almost like an extra creamy topping.. since cheesecake can b somewhat dry. I love the lemon cheesecake as well. The quiche is AMAZING, the crust is perfect buttery and flaky. Pretty much everything is wonderful. I highly recommend this place! read more

Definitely have to agree with everyone that Devil's Teeth Baking Company is very FRESH! I came in ready to start my morning off with one of their breakfast sammies and the banana blueberry muffins. I have a huge soft spot for breakfast sandwiches. When I saw that Devil's Teeth serves breakfast sammies, I was super excited to try one! I really appreciate that the sammies are made fresh - right after I placed my order I saw them crack the eggs into the skillet. The portions are also huge, but then again the breakfast sandwich was $5. So how did the food taste? Well...I was slightly underwhelmed by the breakfast sandwich. The biscuit was soft and flaky, but the sandwich was dry and lacked flavor. They should add some hot sauce or ketchup on the side. Also, I really wish they put sausage in the sandwich. There are 2 strips of bacon, cheese, and lots of fluffy scrambled eggs but where's the sausage?? The banana blueberry muffin comes topped with whole blueberries baked into a banana bread muffin. The texture of the muffin was a little too doughy and tasted a bit bland. Just an extra hint of banana flavor and these muffins would be perfect! Only got their ginger cookie because I went a little late in the afternoon and most pastries were gone. I wasn't hungry at that time so I decided on the cookie so I can save it for later. The ginger cookie was delicious!! I wasn't even hungry, but decided to try it anyways and it was yummy! It is about the size of your whole hand (pretty big cookie) for $2.50. There are actual soft ginger candy chunks in it that are sweet/very ginger-y and the cookie itself is a good blend of saltiness and sweetness. Very chewy cookie and did not turn hard or dry out after a day. The staff were very friendly and you can help yourself with some water if you'd like (located at where the sugar/creamer are). There are limited indoor seating and some outdoor seating. They serve not just pastries/brownies/cookies/cakes but also breakfast/lunch sandwiches, lunch dishes..etc. Also have beignet Sundays for $1 a piece...too bad I went on a Saturday.
