Came here by word of mouth I grew up in the neighborhood and I never knew this place existed! We were seated right away and the service was friendly. This is a great spot for breakfast and/or lunch. It has the old world flavor, small tables, counter seats, vinyl booths...throwback...small but still comfortable! We ordered the Irish Breakfast and a patty melt. The Irish Breakfast was wonderful, I loved the black pudding and little sausages. The photo doesn't do it justice, but it was plentiful and filling. The hash browns were perfect, nicely browned & crisp. The patty melt was delicious too with the cheesy goodness! I do wish the onions were cooked a bit longer--more caramelization. We stopped in on a Friday late afternoon, there was a guy at the counter, and a couple at a booth. So we didn't have to wait we grabbed a booth. Everyone was really friendly and nice. Service was great put in our order. My daughter had French toast. I had the special and a cup of coffee. It was delicious. Very small place so I'm sure that maybe it's very busy on the weekends. You write your name down. Stay close because they'll call out your name. I waited about 40 minutes for a party of 3. A friend told me that he enjoyed a breakfast here several months ago. I hoped to try them during the holidays but they were closed those mornings. In arranging a Sunday morning meetup with my travel companions before our trip, I chose this corner spot for brunch. A friend arrived there first and signed up for a table as two parties were ahead of him. After I dropped a friend off and found parking across the street after driving down a few streets, I walked over to the restaurant. I sat at the side bench as my friends waited in front for his name to be called. About 15 minutes later, we were led to a four-top table on the left halfway in. Given menus, we talked about the variety of breakfast and special menu items before ordering our meals. A friend opted for coffee while my other friend and I had ice water. Parking is not that bad, plenty of street parking in the neighborhood ... well within a 5 minute walk. Note- get here early because there will be a line.  The wait is a bit long but definitely worth it. The staff is wonderful and will make you feel like home.   I ordered the corned beef has with 2 eggs.   Generous portions of corned beef hash and flat top potatoes.  Crispy and well seasoned.  Cannot beat 2 runny egg yolks mixing with the hash. I've had this place bookmarked ever since I saw a review on social media. The review focused on their cookies, but the food looked good enough to try. Parking is all street parking, which can be hit or miss. The establishment itself is small, and you'll need to write your name on the waitlist. Fortunately, I only waited about 10 minutes before being seated since I was a small party, and larger groups were waiting for tables. My fiancé and I were seated at the counter. Italian Omelet: This was good but not something I'd order again. The potatoes, however, were disappointing. They had the texture of boiled potatoes that were lightly stir-fried, with only a few crispy spots. Most were soft, soggy, and lacked flavor. I prefer super crispy potatoes, so I'd definitely sub these out next time. They also needed a lot of sauce, salt, and pepper to make them more palatable. Breakfast Burrito: This was just alright. It was a bit wet and greasy, which wasn't ideal. One thing I did love was their hot sauces. They seem to be a recipe from one of the workers (his face is on the logo), and they're all delicious with a nice kick. Definitely a highlight of the meal! This place has great breakfast! Food reminds me of my hometown favorite breakfast place . But also has great people that work there. We met the Chef Orlando, who makes seven different hot sauces for the table. In addition to that the man that took us to our seat is super friendly. Orlando found out that we were going to the zoo with our five-year-old son and out of nowhere offered to give us free tickets to the zoo which I thought was really unexpected and we felt very grateful. Overall I had a wonderful experience here. The cookies here on the weekends were excellent. Good texture contrast, nice crumble, not too sweet, and very flavorful. The steak and eggs is what you'd expect from any value diner, except here it's better prepared. The smashed potatoes made the texture 10x better and extra crispy. Service was excellent. This is a great neighborhood breakfast spot. I came here with my daughter on a Sunday and fully expected to have to wait but luckily we got in, there were seats at the counter. I read that someone objected to waiting because they don't take reservations. To that I would say that Denny's takes reservations. My daughter ordered the Chilaquiles which comes with bacon and eggs on a bed of tortilla chips cooked in a red salsa sauce. It was delicious but a bit on the spicy side. I had the Loco Moco (You won't get this at Denny's). This is not a traditional Hawaiian style Loco Moco as the gravy has mushrooms in it, lots of delicious mushrooms. But the beef patty is a GOOD size over a nice portion of white rice. Two eggs topped the dish covered in a generous portion of gravy. Since I love mushrooms, this was delicious, definitely a great dish. The place is on the small size, not a lot of room for large groups but clean and neat.
