Kind of a narrow hall way while waiting for drink to be made but very pretty inside. Loved the simplistic all white decor. I love that the tea is fresh brewed to order and before even leaving they ask you to try your drink and if you're happy before even leaving. We tried the metal goddess oolang and osmanthus golden buckwheat.

A famous milk tea shop in Irvine, run by the same owner as Papi Ice Cream! Last week, I went to try Papi Ice Cream, and this week, it was time for milk tea! Haha. When we arrived, the line was forming inside the shop, so we followed it in. Luckily, the wait wasn't long, and we were able to order pretty quickly. And guess what? The owner himself took our order! I thought that was pretty cool! Haha. I visited with my two daughters, and when one of them couldn't decide what to order, the owner said something that really impressed me. "Don't worry! I'll take care of you until the very end! And if you don't like what I make, we can always change it. No pressure! Let's figure it out one step at a time!" Haha! How reassuring is that?! He started with a simple question: "Okay, coffee? Milk tea? Matcha? Or regular tea?" Then he asked which milk tea shops we liked in Irvine and what drinks we usually ordered. And then he confidently said, **"I'll make you a milk tea that's even better than your favorite place!"** Haha! WOW. I absolutely loved his confidence! But what impressed me even more was how genuinely thoughtful he was with every question and suggestion. He wasn't just trying to sell us drinks. He was taking the time to understand what each of us actually liked so he could make sure we'd enjoy our choices. You could tell that he takes tremendous pride in his milk tea and truly cares about his customers. And honestly, watching him interact with us, I thought to myself, **"No wonder this business is so successful!"** That kind of confidence, passion, and customer service is something special. Anyway, thanks to the owner's wonderful guidance, all three of us ended up with drinks that perfectly matched our preferences. And YES!! They were absolutely delicious!! So here I am, writing this review to say... **THIS IS SERIOUSLY THE BEST MILK TEA I'VE HAD IN IRVINE!!** Amazing milk tea, an owner who genuinely cares, and customer service that makes you want to come back. What more could you ask for?! I'll definitely be back!

The new menu items were great, no complaints. Osmanthus Golden Buckwheat: I honestly couldn't tell there was osmanthus but the buckwheat was strong and roasted. Definitely unique and really stood out. Better than any "roasted" drink I've had. 3 was the perfect sweetness here. Emerald Spring Jasmine Green Milk Tea: very strong green tea. Definitely different than other Jasmines. It tasted like Gyokuro and Jasmine had a baby. Paired well with the milk and wasn't diluted at all. Formosan Matcha: I recommend the extra strength as it was much "heavier" than the lightweight matchas you'd usually get. Very rich and earthy. The flavor really lingered on your tongue. Staff was great and surprisingly only a 5 minute wait on a Sunday at 6pm!

Plenty of parking! This cute spot is very modern and sleek giving a very simple and elegant vibe. The workers were extremely nice and were helpful in helping us select which drinks to try as it was our first time! We got the metal goddess oolong and red ruby milk tea which were both recommended to us based on what we were craving at the time which was a strong tea flavor with a nutty aroma! The metal goddess oolong was extremely roasted and delicious and the ruby milk tea also had a nice richness to it! Planning on coming back very soon to try their other drinks!

This place is new and the drinks are amazing! I ordered the Desouro Matcha with cream and the Phoenix Milk Tea. Both drinks were full of flavor with a smooth, creamy taste that was perfect for my palate. The service was excellent! The barista was attentive and made sure our drinks were prepared just the way we liked them. You can definitely tell they care about getting the details right. A great spot for flavorful, well-crafted drinks and friendly service! Outside is cool to sit down and enjoy your drinks with friends and family. Come try it if you haven't !

Was eating next door at Kaju Tofu and saw no line at Desouro after dinner (which is rare!), so I seized the opportunity to grab me a lil nightcap tea. Still super bummed they never brought back my fav Orobae Gyokuro green tea, I decided to change things up tonight and try the Desouro Phoenix No. 2 Pure Oolong Tea. I paired it with the new Black Tea jelly and it was DEElish & refreshing! I got level 4 sweetness + half ice, which was just perfect for me. Desouro is always consistent when it comes to the quality of their teas and preparation of their drinks. That's what I've always loved about them. You can tell they really care about the tea, and I appreciate that consistency. I'm also glad they've fine-tuned the service to be more efficient since reopening. The line madness is definitely a lil more bearable now. Still holding out hope that my Gyokuro makes a comback someday, though! RxFoodie recommends if you're looking for good-quality teas & something new to try!

Don't like the new cups, feel like they are a bit cheap looking and the lid is kind of hard to cap on. The owner is still in there with the staff and they're still trying to upkeep the branding of customer service, but I feel like maybe they were trying to expand options too fast rather than quality for value so unfortunately I don't think its worth the price. I remember the staff before being more well trained on their menu but thats probably attributing to a better quality of life haha. We got the osmanthus buckwheat tea which is similar to toroteas popcorn tea but a little more watery. I got the tea jelly but the toppings seem less and it cost a lot to add more toppings. The guava slush was on the sweeter side and has guava flavor, but missing body. The peach oolong tea was not anything special but 50% sweet was okay (probably recommend level 2). Maybe its because I didn't get the rising phoenix this time, but I do feel it taste more watery compared to before and doesn't offer the same ambiance. I think some research is needed into torotea or chichasanchen as they are similar competitors. I hope the owner is able to revamp and change directions to hone in on a specialty quality menu as I remember he was quite passionate and feel bad to see the drop.

After giving it a second try, I've sadly come to the conclusion that there's just a lil somethin' somethin' missing from Desouro's oolong milk tea that just misses the mark Orobae left... but it's still a pretty solid tea option if you're grabbing a bite nearby in the plaza. They've continued the ritual of asking you to try your drink after it's been made to make sure you're truly satisfied with your order and the shop is actually open to customers now instead of the tent set-up that Orobae had (although theres still no seating available indoors, there is a bathroom).

Nice and well organized tea place. Simple decor but great lively vibe. There are plenty of outside seating. Menu is quite large with plenty of varied flavors. Nice & friendly customer services. A bit long on waiting for drinks due to long line. Drinks are refreshing and quite nice. We got Taiwanese Guava Slush (quite yummy) & Charcoal Roasted Oolong Tea w/ jelly.

One of the best Oolong Milk Teas I've had! DRINKS: 8/10 I ordered the No. 2 Oolong Milk Tea with Level 3 sweetness. The drink is very rich, smooth, silky, and creamy. One of the best milk tea's I've honestly had. I docked few points because personal preference, I wish it was colder and they added more ice. It tasted a bit luke warm. However, for taste, no notes! I thought the prices were great as well! SERVICE: 10/10 Wonderful service! The staff member that helped me was very nice. She made my drink as well and also asked me to try it first just in case it needs to be adjusted. Maybe that was my opportunity to possibly ask for more ice but I didn't think anything of it at the time haha. AMBIANCE: 10/10 I love now dainty, minimalistic, and simple the shop is. Their statement trimming on their wall pieces with their cream-bone white colored paint was very nice. It was giving Kim K vibes hahaha.

Waited in line and tried a matcha drink, it was creamy, smooth, with just a hint of bitterness. And the caffeine in the drink was super strong. This place is set up more like a take-out only shop as there are only a handful of seating available outside. Workers are knowledgeable of their drinks and work hard to serve up drinks as quickly as possible.

One of my go-to tea spots in Irvine. My usual order is the Phoenix Oolong iced, 3 sweet, half ice, with pearls. It's consistently good and probably what I order 90% of the time. I'll switch it up with the Desouro Matcha, which is really good too. My wife usually gets the lychee slushy and shares it with our daughter, and they both love it. You can tell they're genuinely passionate about tea here. The quality and flavor are noticeably different from your typical boba spot. Just come at the right time because it can get pretty busy. Definitely one of our regular family stops and a place we keep coming back to.

Phoenix #2, medal Goddess #2 $5.15 each

No wait on a Wednesday around 6PM. Strong tea flavors, and the various types of Oolong actually taste different. Bitter but perfect at lvl 2 sweetness and half ice. Boba was OK - fresh, warm, but somehow still a bit hard for my taste and too chewy. Not worth for a $1 surcharge. The service here stands out - the cashier barista really took her time to recommend drinks according to our preferences (PURE Metal Goddess Oolong and Phoenix #2, $5.15 each), and upon pick up, they tear the straw packaging for us to grab. I would come back to try other drinks and the black tea jelly.

Do the milk teas contain dairy?

They use lactose free powder creamer for their milk teas and lactose free milk for their matchas. So yes to dairy, but it is lactose free.

Weird. Asked if this place is ran by the same owners and my question was removed. Now we know?

If I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure it's owned by 1 of 2 of the original owners of Orobae.

I ordered their…read morecortado and the coffee flavor was prominent, smooth, with no bitterness and it had that nice tang of a good medium-to-light roast. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Their prices are a bit high. The cortado was over $5 and some of their fancy flavored lattes were in the $8-9 range (add on a non-dairy milk option or a cream top and you're pushing $10 for a drink!). For their simpler coffee classics it feels more worth it, but it'd be a bit of a splurge to get a fancy latte. The seating area is quite nice. It's near UCI campus so there were a lot of students studying when I came. There are plenty of tables inside and they also offer free wifi. The service was pretty fast.
