I am a Millie's fan. I love their omelettes. Go to breakfast place. My husband wanted to change it up a little so off we go to Denny's. I ordered an omelette and wow. The amount of grease on the plate was disgusting, I had to tilt it to the side and use napkins to soak it up. The worst part - it was supposed to have Swiss cheese and oh yeah, it had it, a whole slice just sitting there in the middle. So they don't even have shredded cheese that would melt oh no, which leads me to believe if it had American cheese you could probably see the nice yellow square too. I've been coming to this Denny's for many years late night with family and have enjoyed the staff here in particular. The food is cooked consistently well and we never have to wait long for a table. Parking is always easy, and it's close to the freeway. There's a fair number of regulars and families that come into this location. I don't usually frequent chain restaurants or leave 5 star reviews, but I do frequent this one so I thought I should leave a review to show appreciation. read more

I had better experiences at other Denny's, but this one was definitely the worst and it's only been my first time here. Server/cook seemed lazy and incompetent. Seemed like he ain't wanted a paycheck. Gave out the wrong order and charged us extra for bananas--when the pancakes we ordered doesn't come with bananas, nor were ever asked for. Awful. Arrive at 8:30 ordered at 8:45. Food did not arrive until 9:40. Coffee arrived, asked for sweet and low 3 times, terrible service. Should not take 55 minutes to make scrambled eggs. I could of gone to a chicken farm got me eggs got home scrambled them myself and eaten them in the time it took them to make them. Go to Hearts down the street. Much better service. I revisited Denny's on Thanksgiving. The restaurant was at capacity, and there was a 20 minute wait; however, that didn't appear to be too much of a inconvenience for those waiting to be served, those seated and arriving. Upon ordering my food, I watched as the staff and manager navigated the request from the patrons effortlessly as they received customers, served customers and cashed out customers. As with my other sojourns, my food and service were excellent and deserved a job extremely well done! read more

Went to this location, 16575 on Sherman Way last Friday and it was an amazing experience. My boyfriend and I were greeted as we came in the restaurant and were seated immediately. Our server Norma was very polite and welcomed us with a warm smile. As soon as we sat down we were asked if we wanted to start off with some drinks so we did. Shortly after we ordered, our food came and it was perfect as always. The manager on duty, Pablo came by and asked if we were doing good and we said yes absolutely! Both him and Norma were very attentive to our needs and we appreciated that very much. Last night the food was awful. The bread was so molded it smelled like mildew I almost threw up at the seat. On 9/23/18 me and my boyfriend came to dine in at Denny's and the waitress was very kind and seated us. She looked occupied with all the other guests giving her time to each table wisely and trying to make our service experience a good one. Our first order was one hot coffee and one sweetened ice signature coffee. When the ice coffee came out it was watered down so I kindly asked the waitress if she can fix it. She did it with no hesitation at all. Then our order was up. My boyfriend ordered an ultimate omelette and I ordered a choose your own grand slam. Egg whites, English McMuffin, hash browns and some hot cakes. We waited and the waitress set everything on the table and then before I could mention she had not brought the hash browns. So I waited to see if I could get her attention before she went to the back. Another few minutes passed and my boyfriend is eating his food until he's half way there & finds hair right in the center of his omelette. Not to mention how understaff it was. I looked at my plate because it smelled weird and sure enough the English bread was completely rotten , sogged and molded. The smell made me almost throw up. We waited for the waitress. When she did come it was because we got up and went to the front to get her attention. I showed the waitress the food first and she smelled it with disgust in replying I wouldn't want to pay for this either & then told her I was not paying for any of it. She went to tell the manager and had me wait to just tell me that the-manager didn't even want to come out to speak to me. Disgusted and barrff honestly wasn't even hungry after that and the thought sickens me that a Denny's would even serve that to a guest. It smelled awful. Is this a corporate? or Franchise? First of all just wanted to say that i can appreciate 1 server running around for 10 tables and hustling, What cant i appreciate is the management kepping 1 server for each side of the house, my 4 yr old daughter had to wait for a simple spaghetti and marinara sauce for over 25 mins. Came here new years day. No wait to be seated. Waiter came & took our drink & food order quick. Then it got bad. We waited 40 minutes for our food, which isn't such a surprise seeing as it was new years day, but when we got our food, it was over cooked. The country fried steak was like a rock and the fries were almost inedible because they were so over cooked. I felt like you could chip a tooth trying to eat them. The service and the food were excellent. The problem was that the perfume smelling air freshener I think from the restroom permeated the entire eating area. I was always taught that at dinner one uses unscented candles not to compete with the dinner smells. I am scent sensitive, but I think this could have affected nonsensitive customers as well. read more

For mothers day, we ordered online and the estimated time was 30 minutes. We were notified that 2 uber drivers was there but left. We called the store directly and at this point, it had been well over an hour since we ordered. Our food was not ready yet. We understand that they were busy but the wait time should have been 2 hours when we first ordered. We asked if we can just cancel and receive a refund and they gave us the run around saying we had to call their online services to do that. So we decided to wait for the food. About another hour went by and we called again with no answer. I decided to go to the Denny's in person (even though I had already paid the delivery fees). When I show up, I ask for my food and of course, they're still finishing up my order. I waited there for 10 minutes until they finally handed me my food. Today my wife decided to give them another chance, seeing as how it was a holiday last time and they were understaffed. We ordered food online. Got the food at the designated time which was great. I asked them if everything was there and they assured me it was. I get home we are missing a few items. We tried calling them and of course no one answers. Their automated phone system makes it so hard to reach them. Finally someone gives us a number to an office that isn't even open. This Denn'ys isn't worth the hassle. read more

Really good place for brunch. Great portions and amazing prices. I got the prime rib salad and had to take some home. I loved the Prime Rib Salad so much. The holiday cookie Sundae is so sweet and delicious! The Philly cheese steak omelette tastes great too! UPDATE: I came here again and ordered the same dish. There was a hair on my salad plate, not to mention I had to send back my first set of silverware because there was crusted on food on the fork. The only reason I am giving this restaurant a one star is because I can't give them a zero! Worst experience ever! my friends and I ordered coffee and water and we never got a refilled. We ordered some fries and took them 10 minutes. It was a slow Thursday night so I don't understand how it could take that long. The bathroom was nasty very dirty no toilet paper. Also, this waiter was not at all attentive. We were trying to get her attention but she did not care. The only hard worker here is the manager. Rude and disrespectful Filipino lady manager and female waitress who had some sort of neck problem. Bad food quality, tables and menus are covered in a thick layer of dead skin and grease. Entire restaurant smells like mold and dirty socks. Tried to use a %20 off coupon for my bill but the manager almost yelled "NO Yu HAV TU PRINT IT!". I read the sign posted in the wall and she was correct that it must be printed but she could have said it in a more respectful manner. Most businesses however would just honor it because there was just a clear written coupon code they could have entered in their computer. Just shows the greed and cheapness that the owner must have. The first two meals I ordered were "out of stock" also. Was forced to settle for a lower quality dish. On top of all that, I witnessed a blind man placing a to-go order. He very politely asked for them to let him know which cup contained the smoothie or shake as he ordered both, during the ordering experience, the waitress that so poorly attended him didn't even look at him or make eye contact, she was looking at the computer screen and responded, "Well its not so hard to tell the difference."
