Well yesterday Saturday 06/29/2024' We decided to have a delicious Denny's Breakfast, or so we thought! The wait was very long, and unlike the 5 minutes the young lady quoted. Made me think that the food must be awesome for such a wait to be had. We were directed to a table after in the beginning clarifying that we wanted a booth. We had to wait a bit more, but finally made it. It was during the waiting period that I observed families enjoying their Breakfast with plenty of children, one of the kids seated in a high chair was taken out as the family was done eating and leaving. One of the female employees took the high chair and without even bothering to wipe it returned it to where they place them (see photo). The food arrived and to keep this shorter, My Sausage tasted hard and dry, so I asked them to replace the two sausages with Bacon instead. The bacon that finally arrived was absolutely dry as well and tasted (no kidding) like cardboard..2 skinny slices ,dry, hard, tasteless on both orders. My Creeps which I had asked for with less Vanilla filling were stuffed with guess what? of course, plenty of Vanilla filling. During the waiting at table to be served , a nice family approached and were seated at the table along side of us and the first thing I noticed was one of the female Cashier's who was not wearing the glasses, walk right up to the uncleaned high chair and bring it to their table for their little girl toddler. I took the time to speak to what appeared to be the Dad and told him what I had observed and to ask someone to wipe the high chair down for his child. The man pulled his baby out of the high chair and I believed had that done. I asked for the Manager who showed up by the name of Enrique , and upset as I was, made my displeasure quite evident for all the blunders involved. I let him know that if I saw the children's high chairs were not wiped down and maintained in a cleaner manner that I would have no qualms about reporting this issue as children's safety should be all of our concern. I never asked for any discount or special treatment, but as I did not eat the foods in question( but to taste) , it did not really surprise me that I was charged only for one meal. I came hungry and left hungry! the only redeeming part of the meal was the Coffee. I know that Denny's has normally good tasting food for the most part, but I cannot say what happened today! I recommend that the next time in eating here, you keep an eye on the high chairs and see if the Manager Enrique really heard my strong suggestion and passed it on to his people as he said he would. If not, then you know what to do. I am sure the Health Department and or other's who care about the safety of children will or should listen! I'm a fan of Denny's for breakfast. I've been going to the one on 47th St., East and Avenue West since 1982. I don't need eggs so I will order breakfast sides. I'll get pancakes, hashbrowns sausage, or bacon. Well today, I got sausage and was very disappointed. These were the smallest sausages I've ever seen. I don't think any bigger than 2 inches in length. Well I was very disappointed especially when you're paying $4.49 for an order of sausage. The size of the sausage should be in a kid's menu. I hope there's an improvement coming in or I will be finding another place to have breakfast. read more

Came in today for brunch with my husband and daughter. We didn't even wait that long to get seated. Our daughter was not having it today she was crying. Our server Luz came to our table and brought my 10month old daughter some goldfish to calm her down. Surprisingly it worked we were able to enjoy our superbird that by the way was delicious. The manager also came by to check up on us and gave us refills to go without asking. I would definitely come back again thank you so much for making our experience great. read more

Denny's is a chain though out the US. This one is very good. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and you can get breakfast all day. It is something of a diner. The food is quite good and we were very happy with the service. We were seated right away. It can get crowded on the weekend mornings so if you can reserve a spot on their website do that. If you have to wait, it is not too bad. Once seated a server is with you straight away and they are all very nice and know their menu and substitutions and can tell you how to combine items to save money if you want. The food will come hot and as ordered. We love their breakfast. I always get eggs and pancakes in some sort of combination. My grandson loves their scrambled eggs and my husband enjoys their burgers. It is all tasty and the prices are fair. They have dessert items like pie and ice cream. They are also good. There is free parking in their lot. Whenever you are in town, we stop here. Been meaning to write this review for weeks. Came on Mother's Day for quick breakfast. The hostess seated us quickly. Servers were smiling and everyone seemed on point. Tables were bussed. All tables looked full. Food was getting out quickly and customers were laughing all around. Waitstaff training new employees. All were personable and accommodating. This was the complete opposite service I received from IHOP down the street just 5 minutes earlier. Waited 10 minutes at front to be seated despite the restaurant being 3/4 empty. On Mother's Day, really? Don't think they were understaffed because at least 6 waitstaff by the kitchen area congregating expecting an acknowledgment by then to get service they turned back to their conversation. If it was only our group waiting, I'd would have taken personally. There was at least three other parties still waiting. This was not counting the Uber eats customers to get their food. Just decided sad service so far and decided to take business elsewhere. I left feeling unsure about local businesses if a franchise like this could be doing poorly. However, after getting Dennys, less than 5 minutes away and seeing the night and day difference. Tried not to compare two because maybe it wasn't outside business forces for the discrepancy. Short-staffed, better quality of food, prices, location, and so on. Just worlds apart in service. One busy flowing, laughing, and good energy; other, slow, hushed, and just draining. The burgers are regularly cooked, the personal service is good and fast. The place is very well-decorated and very clean.

They took me off the waiting list after waiting for an hour. I went to speak to the girls that are front and they said they sent a text which was not true. They texted someone else with the same name and took of both our names off the list. Had to wait another 10 minutes to sit down.. In those10 minutes they called 5 other names without texting them and cleared them off the list. Very unprofessional.. My server was awesome but the front staff needs a lot of improvement read more

I'll start by saying that I don't frequent Danny's, but in this area there aren't many choices for breakfast that has outdoor dining. The reason they're getting two stars is due to the fact that their waitlist through the Yelp app worked very well and we didn't have to wait too long. Now for the bad stuff... Service: pretty bad. They sat us in an outdoor section which look like they just gobbled some picnic tables and folding chairs and threw a red tarp over the top of it which left you seeing red for the entire time that you were sitting out there. But the worst part was they essentially forgot we were there. We received our menus and cutlery and an immediate drink order, but you would think if you ordered coffee they would ask if you wanted cream which I did ask, but they never came. After flagging someone down I was able to get our waitress back and we ordered. The waitress never came back before food, the gentleman busing the tables was kind enough to bring us cream and more coffee. Needless to say, we never saw her again until we had to complained about the food and finally got our check. Food: you really shouldn't have to think about what you're going to order based on where you are, but I guess I shouldt. TBone steak and eggs. Probably the worst T-bone steak and eggs I've ever had. The eggs were greasy and the T-bone steak was thoroughly done even though I had ordered it medium rare. Although me and another person ordered the same exact meal, her steak came essentially raw and so rubbery she couldn't get a knife through it. You would think that toast would be easy but not here. It was stale, cold and inedible. How do you screw up toast??? I could complement the coffee, but without cream for me it was just OK. And I never got a 2nd cup. After letting the server know that the steak was in edible and we would like to have it removed from the check, it was almost as if they were going to not let it happen. So instead of removing that meal from the check, they only minused what they thought the value of the steak was and still charged us for the eggs hashbrowns and toast. This meal stayed with me all day and not in a good way. Lessons learned: If you're forced to eat at a Denny's, stick to the basics, like eggs and bacon and take your chances with toast and hashbrowns or just drive thru the Jack in the box next door, you'll get about the same quality, but at least you'll get better service. read more

I don't like reviewing chains but this particular one in my hometown has exceeded my expectations on what an good Ol' American diner is supposed to be. I was greeted warmly and promptly seated. Before I knew it my waiter Juan came to take my drink order. I was feeling feisty today so I got a hot chocolate with whipped cream. After a few mins Juan came back to take my food order. I got my favorite Moons Over My Hammy and a side of some Hersey hush puppies. Service was fast because I got my food very quick, fresh and hot. My food didn't even stay a second underneath the hot lights. I took a bite of the hash browns and they were hot, crispy and tasty. The first bite of my moons over my hammy was delightful basically cooked to order! As I was enjoying my breakfast I saw the staff sing happy birthday to one of the patrons. I grew up going to Denny's and not once had I even seen that before. It was nice to see that this particular staff takes pride in providing their patrons with an experience, even as small as singing happy birthday. People remember that and they take that experience and share im with others which in turn brings people back. I got to my hush puppies and even though they were not my favorite I took them home and ate them later when I got munchies hehe. We absolutely love eating at this Dennys but today I was so impressed by the young man at the reception station . I'm so sorry I'm forgetting his name now . There was a line out the door and the small lobby was full . 11 am rush . He never stopped smile and taking names , handling payment tickets , seating people . He was so polite and sweet !! He kindly let us know when he would be taking his break, and who would be assisting us. He served breakfast up with nothing but courtesy and efficiency. And all of this was after we were told we would have a 30 to 40 min wait (it was an uncommonly monsoon-y day here in LA County), so we didn't fancy having to sit outside in the rain to wait. We all love Denny's right! We have our favorites and know what they serve. This post is about the service on a Sunday morning 10am We stood in a line to put in our name and phone number. Greeted by friendly staff. 30 min later we got the text our table was ready. We were promptly seated. Our server Cody was nice. He took our drink orders, got us creamers, water, and utensils. He then took our food order. The place was in chaos. Seemed like an influx of to go orders. Grub hub or postmates. The to go delivery drivers were noisy while waiting on their food. There were so many complainers. The staff was kind and patient. The manager kept apologizing. While we were there we witnessed too many to count to go orders being processed but very few table orders. Cody, our server offered us free soup or salad as we waited. Over an hour later we decided to leave. It was obvious we were not getting our breakfast anytime soon. We forget our phone at the table. We rushed back. Thankfully Cody saved it for us. Really not sure what happened to the quick and normal efficiency of Denny's. Hopefully they get it together soon. read more
