On my first review, I was just coming through for a quick bite. (Text: I was actually going to stop…read moreat the Italian place next door, since I'm not a big fan of diners, but I saw about 3 cars there and about 103 cars here, so I went with the popular choice. Glad I did.) Although I only had the souvlaki the first time, I noted friendly and attentive service by all, including the manager. The food came out fairly quickly given that I arrived during the peak lunch hour. The pita was the best pita I have ever eaten. The fries were up there with the best fries I have ever eaten. There was plenty of food for my money overall, and it was memorably delicious. So for this update, I finally went in for a full meal. I can offer the following updates: * I went during the dinner peak this time (I should say: just after a Hudson Valley Renegades game across the river), and service was MUCH slower to attend to us. Now, to be fair, I arrived with one person and we were waiting on a third, so I didn't expect them to rush to take or order until the third person arrived... but at least bring us water? Took like 15 minutes for that. * Shrimp pasta was delicious. But if you're smothering shrimp in sauce, please de-shell? Otherwise serve them on the side so I can do that myself. Annoying to have to sift through the sauce and clean my hands. * They did sub in pasta of my choice. * Carrot soup was OK, nothing special but it was the soup of the day vs. just a plain salad for my veggies. Desserts were on display but I was stuffed. Again, you will get plenty of food here. But try not to come at the same time as /everyone/ else.

Some of the entrées look like they came from Restaurant Depot down the block. Not bad, just OK. The crabcakes didn't have much crab flavor. But for the price you can't complain. Aside from never offering what they did have available and instead saying "We don't have that" for about half the menu, she seemed very annoyed to be taking our order period. She was very unpleasant, to say the least. Waitress had an immense staring problem as well. I would've walked out had it not been a going away event for a coworker. Owner seems aware of this issue. Took about an hour for a milkshake and by that time, after tolerating the way she treated the group, I didn't have the appetite to finish half of it. Never again, I rather starve than ever come back here.

No idea what they were. - They also had no capers. Who runs out of that? - And mashed potatoes with no flavor, likely from an alternative universe where bland food earns kudos or where potatoes are a protected life form. The service was horrible but the food was not much better. This place is definitely not worth the cost. The food and service is subpar and the help has an attitude. Just close.

I was craving something hearty and healthy so naturally, I went for the pearly bowl which originally comes with couscous, roasted cauliflower, golden raisins (trust me these add THEEEE touch), pickled red onions (YUM), tahini sauce, avocado, and a lemon-mint vinaigrette - THISSSSSS. I ended up substituting the couscous for quinoa which was perfect for the type of meal I wanted before traveling. Can we talk about that lemon-mint vinaigrette? It's perfectly green and brings the whole bowl together, SO GOOD. Wish I would've gotten a whole side of that. Ordering delivery through Yelp is so easy thanks to DoorDash and I was so thankful I didn't have to be stuck eating chips and m&ms - love these but I needed a little something more. Great spot for lunch!…read more My husband and I stopped in on our way back to our Airbnb after a long morning hike. This place is counter service, so we made our way directly to the register to place our order. Upon ordering, we were warned that it would be at least a 30 minute wait until our food was ready due them being short staffed. Although we were hungry, we weren't in a rush and truly appreciated the heads up! I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan sandwich and WOWZA! The sandwich was HUGE! I took a photo of my Gatorade bottle laying next to it for comparison (haha). I hardly ate half of it because it was so filling, however it was definitely delicious. My husband ordered a sandwich of his own (although I can't remember which one) and he was equally pleased. We also ordered a side of tots which were crispy and salty, just how I like them! My husband and I definitely could've shared one sandwich as we both don't eat a lot in one sitting, so this is something to keep in mind if you're reading this before your first visit here!! The weather was absolutely gorgeous so we chose to sit on the front patio. It was such a lovely atmosphere for lunch! Also, because we were sitting outside, they told us to come back in 30 minutes to check if our order was ready because we wouldn't be able to hear them call our name. All in all, a pleasant experience! Would definitely recommend this place for lunch, especially if you're in the mood for sandwiches.
