We hadn't been to this location in a few years as it had gone downhill but we figured why not give it another shot since they revamped the menu again. We went on a Saturday morning around 9:30 a.m. and it wasn't too crowded yet. We were seated at our table which was grimy and not wiped down and the floor was very sticky. So sticky that my chair would not slide across the floor. Both my friend and I had the Grand Slam Slugger and it just wasn't that good. The food was just about warm - the eggs weren't that hot, the sausage was burnt and dried out, the bacon was two of the smallest slices ever and the hash browns which took up 1/2 of the plate were brown on top but not very cooked on the bottom. I left most of them as I could not eat them. The pancakes had a good taste to them but were too brown on top for me. For the money I could have cooked a better breakfast at home. They have just given up at this location like many others in the area so I won't be going back any time soon. read more

I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken and bam in like 6 minutes I had a hot tasty meal in front of me with an ice water. Two chicken breasts seasoned and grilled with a chopped tomato compote, steamed broccoli and a brown rice medley all for $10. The food quality is decent but not amazing, the service is great and you are eating with real utensils on a ceramic plate. This is like a $13 meal with a 20% tip. I have to say, this place knows how to take care of you. Came in here twice within two weeks with a group of 6+ and we were all taken care of very well. Refills were on point, food came out fast and tasted very good. I was very surprised. I also loved the fact that the meatballs tasted great on the Brooklyn spaghetti and meatballs. That was a real test for me and it did not disappoint me at all. Breakfast food is always good here so on my second visit i had the eggs with 3 types of bacon and I was in heaven. Was in town so tried it for breakfast then again for dinner. Not a Dennys in my area, but both times we were seated quickly, the food game out really quickly and it food was good. It's not outstanding, but food on value menu is cheaper than a fast food combo and better than that. Got two breakfasts and two dinners and a dessert for cheaper than the last diner I got dinner in. Came here around 11 am on a Saturday. Got seated pretty quickly and our waitress was friendly. Food was decent, nothing spectacular, it is Denny's after all. Reason for the 3 stars is one, coffee was never refilled and two when I ordered our meals I told the waitress I wanted the Pancake Puppies Sundae as dessert and she said no problem, she'll put it in and it will come after we're done with our meal. So when we finished our meal and she took the plates, we thought she was bringing out the dessert, nope forgot the dessert and just gave us the check. read more

We came here about two months ago and walked out because half the restaurant was empty but there was a huge wait to get a seat. After a few minutes, we gave up and went somewhere else. I can't say we had a good time. The waitress wasn't very good at her job - we had to ask for a set of silverware for my daughter. We went to Denny's knowing not to expect gourmet. But the food was pretty good. I chose from the $2 $4 $6 $8 menu. The prices were all very fair. I got the chipotle chicken for $8 which came with 2 sides, a drink and some disgusting "garlic bread" that I did not touch. Besides that bread the rest of my food was good. Food was not very good. We ordered diner type lunch food, not breakfast. Was debating pancakes, maybe that would have been better. The waitress was nice but we had to ask for for condiments and our our want right the first time it was brought out. It was pretty clean. The food generally tastes pretty processed; it didn't taste like the food was really cooked there, more like open a package, heat at this temp for this long, etc. The cheese tasted like "cheese product," for example. Where can you sit down with a family of 4 and have a good meal for under $35.00? Perkins in newburgh on weds young children eat free with the purchase of an adult meal. Plus they have a funny clown that visits tables with children and makes balloon animals. Good comfort food that always tastes good. And the waitresses and waiters are always nice. I said, "get ready for some shitty service and mediocre food" on the way in and that was way off. The service was non existent. There wasn't any. I absolutely love Denny's. Their chicken salad sandwich is to DIE FOR. I've gotten it at every location I've been to and each time it's the same taste. Only one location in Ithaca was it warm and mushy. I went to the Newburgh location today with my boyfriend (his first time to a Denny's ever) and he got a bacon avocado burger, French toast, pancakes and I got my chicken salad sandwich all for 23$. Burger was ok, pancakes were ok , French toast was amazing and chicken salad was amazing. Their frenchfries are always crisp and fresh. Service was quick and efficient. Sucks having to go over the bridge if I want to go to Denny's but I think 1.50$ is worth it. read more

Good afternoon wow where do I start. I live in N,J and I don't get to go to Denny's as much as I would like. But let me tell you this Denny's is on point. I went to the Denny's in Middletown and all was well till my order was burned and wrong. The Manager LUIS was Rude and Disrespectful I had to leave. Drive another 30mins to Newburgh and what a difference. Service was AMAZING Michelle was on her A Game. And as I was finishing up here comes the manager Ms Megan walking around greeting all the customer asking was all well with our food. A must try please don't let the low stars stop you from coming you won't be disappointed. I know now this will be my Denny's from here on out. Thank you again Michelle and Ms Megan for making my day better and being disrespected by Luis. Please remember no one is perfect and sometimes things may not always be done right but always give a person the opportunity to Fox their wrong and make them right. This is by far the worst dining experience in my 35 years of living on this earth. Let's start from the beginning, this is my buddy first Denny's experience and it will be his last. We arrived to find three homeless men in the parking lot drinking booze out of a brown bag and yelling obscene things to us what almost sounded like cat calls. We walked in but before entering saw a piece of paper on the door stating that they were out of practically half of the menu. We waited 25 minutes to be seated in a practically empty dinning room. Once seated it was another 15 minutes until our waitress who smelled of burnt toast and musty feet came to ask what we wanted. We quickly ordered waters and then 2 Sriracha burgers, zesty nachos, sundaes, and a grand slam sandwich. We got our sundaes first which was weird and completely not to how we ordered them. Then the chili came but there was a giant mass in it that almost appeared to be a dead rat. The nachos were decent but the chips cut my mouth with how stale and hard they were. The burgers had pickles which we said no pickles and had no sauce or jalapeños like described. Also we never got any refills. Save your money and go someplace else unless you want to wait almost 2 hours for a dried hard burnt burger and an awful dining experience then if so this is your place. Went there last night with wife and granddaughter. Wanted cheddar broccoli soup and sandwich. woops all out of that soup .last week they were out of cups and soup spoons.ok how about a chicken based meal.. woops , sorry no chicken left..only chicken strips ..settled for turkey sandwich..wife had meal with chicken strips.. bad.. two other tables near us had problems.. one had coffee with lipstick still on the cup.. another had dried on food on her plate.. the young lady who waited on us was very friendly and helpful-and that's about the only positive thing i can say about our experience.. the place was short of staff and lots of people were waiting for a table with several tables empty.. well. guess we learned our lesson. newburgh denny's is out.. read more
