I never liked Denny's food but come here on super rare late night occasions. Service is always slow. You are lucky to get a greeting at any time while you're there. The bathroom is always nasty and the old restaurant itself, is in need of complete remodeling! There is a bar attached to this location as well. It used to be a club under several different names and the neighborhood 'homies' hangout throughout the years. Lol! If you want cheap late night food, come here. Well Denny's is Denny's as far as food goes, and this one wasn't bad. As far as the service, it was, well, excellent. Yeah, EXCELLENT! So I am suspect. We had our breakfast there. Usually I like Denny's for breakfast, because of the variety of food at reasonable prices. They have fruit as well as eggs, bacon and hash browns, pancakes .... This was though the worst experience with Denny's we had on our 4 weeks trip through SoCal. It started with the order procedure. Our female server appeared to be very bored, looked out of the window when we ordered. My impression was that she didn't like us because of our orders of the Grand Slam breakfast for four persons. In this, you order every item individually and she had to write everything down. Sorry, but that's her job! When we paid she was at the cashier herself (what I think is a no-go behavior). There were two other persons that usually ran that position. But she told them that she would do it and then she charged me the DOUBLE amount of the bill to my credit card!!! The tip she charged herself was more than 43$!!! I saw it fortunately and she voided that amount. Thereafter she entered the correct amount and everything was OK. I had a late breakfast at this Denny's on 09/27/20. Everything about this location was outstanding. When I arrived I was told it would be about 10-15 minutes before I would be seated. It was only 5 and they were busy. Maria my server was friendly and very attentive. But so were all the other servers. Several times while I was there other servers walking by my table asked if everything was good and did I need anything else. The gentleman clearing the tables was all over the place, as soon as a party left he was clearing and disinfecting the table and the servers would assist him. At one point even the manager was helping him. When my food was brought to the table it was hot and properly cooked. The management team and staff are all to be commended. Well done! read more

Worst experience I've had at any Dennys and almost any restaurant. As normal i was told to be waited to be called in, then after waiting 10 minutes or so another couple came in and was offered a seat. I got up and told them we had been waiting first and was looked at confused and given the response "oh yeah sorry." Fast forward to when we where given our cold food i asked for hot sauce and was ignored by the server. This being a different employee then the one who forgot us in the front. Was never offered a refil you have to get their attention as they try to walk by you as you are not there. In the end I will not go back here. read more

I went here one evening for a dinner. I didn't expect much but it's a Denny's can't be too bad right? Well the food was average, pretty much what I expected but the service... It was impossible to get a waiter's attention here. I mean the worst service I've ever had. Almost 20 mins to order! It took so long to get a waitress attention that I just got up and paid at the register. The weird thing is it was not even that full and I table wasn't the only one. I was trying to order dennys delivery online but had some trouble an called the restaurant. They said that they didn't do delivery which was confusing because it was an option on the website. So I got pick up instead and they did not fill up the orange juice all the way up (it was also expensive). I got pancake with my meal and they put it in the same tray so now all my bacon and eggs have syrup on it. Haven't been this disappointed with dennys before. This is the closest dennys to my house but I will go the extra length to drive further so I won't have to come to this one anymore. read more

This was the ONLY place open and near to the Carson Mall aside from fast food and I dont do fast food that often. I had lots of time before the Mall opened I figured I'd grab a seat inside, eat some breakfast and get some emails checked while I wait. Surprisingly enough I was greeted with a friendly smile and was escorted w/ a menu, no less, to the nearest open booth. That NEVER happens at Denny's. A waitress came as soon as I was seated and asked if I wanted some water. By the time she returned i was ready to order my breakfast. My order came so quick I had to take a double look at the sign outside the window to make sure I indeed was at Denny's. Stopped by here for brunch before heading over to Stubhub Center. We were sat down quick and in no time we were talking to our server for what we wanted to eat. It is Dennys, not fancy, just food done right for less. Had the value slam with a side of hash brown and coffee. All tasted fine and got my belly full. The place was busy but not as full as other Denny's I have been to. Plenty of parking as well. Place can get a bit loud but you could still enjoy a decent meal. read more

Denny's has Karoake on Thursday nights. The DJ is amazing and plays great songs in between him playing Karoake music. The environment is a hit or miss sometimes. You'll either get the older crowd getting their groove back or a mixed crowd with the young and ready. They also have a BAR like a real BAR with great drinks and they are cheap. The regular side of Denny's is just regular Denny's. The place is cool. Not a very big place but everyone seems to enjoy themselves. Karoake usually ends at 130-145 but Denny's the restaurant is of course 24 hours. Best part is the Sheriff is always around. So don't drink and drive. read more

This place needs a lot of work. First of all we waited at least a half hour for our food when we were the only guests. We ordered onion rings and literally got 5 onion rings. The plates we ordered looked very skimpy and some of our food was cold (Our sausage and bacon was definitely not cooked for our order). I would only come to this location in the Morning... I'm sure as you've all read from the previous Reviews, there is a Bar attached to this location. No, it's not a few steps away, there is literally a door connecting the 2 establishments together. What in the world?! Why? Beats me. AND - it's not even a cool bar or anything, the average age of people walking through that connecting door seemed to be 40+. But in all fairness, the Morning crew was Great. I should've listened to yelp when I seen the ratings low..but I didn't...the only reason I gave it a 3 is because the server was ok (at least she asked if everything was ok)...the chicken parmesan skillet & brocolli n cheese soup was awesome...and I had a great time w good company...other than that: - for one they only had decaf or strong coffee...no regular :/ - so they have wifi...but customers can't use it (the thing about that is i had ask one server and he tells me he will ask the manager and get back to me...but he never did...this guy walked pass me like 5 or 6 times n just looked at me...like dude u told me u would get back to me..) then i ask the server for my table and thats when she tells me we are not allowed to use it..employees do not even have access to it...kinda hard to believe...anyways... - my daughter loves mac n cheese so thats what she ordered...she usually eats everything, but this time she didnt...it looked pretty dry :/ - the server we had was ok like i said...but she never asked if i wanted a refill or anything n when she had brought me my soup she told me she would bring me back some crackers but she never came back..haha.. ...would I go back...i dont think so...id rather go to the one in torrance...great service and everything...employees are much more welcoming... read more

It's a Denny's. You know what to expect when you walk in one, foodwise. Now that they have nutritional facts, you can't really complain either. Servicewise, our waitress was super nice and a sweetheart. She tried really hard to connect with us, and I'll give her that much for it. I don't remember her name, but she had a red hair pixie cut, glasses, and was a smidgeon stout. Came in on a Sunday morning (fairly busy) and was seated within 15 minutes. My boyfriend and I were seated near the counter area in a booth and was greeted right away. The waitress seemed to be serving all the booths in the area along with the counter but still took EXCELLENT care of us, we were impressed! Food came out super fast, was piping hot and delicious and our beverages always stayed full. No complaints on our end, great service from beginning to end. read more

And when I brought this to the staff and mangers attention she wanted to deduct the muffin from my bill. I asked her to take my entire meal off of the bill and I would still pay for my friend meal because they were satisfied. She wanted to deduct their meal instead of mine, Really! Wow! I guess Being Close to your House sometimes does not make a Difference! This Denny's being couple blocks away is not only packed which does. Not surprise me but what does is the quality of the Service here! If i was going to say Bad, would be and understatement! Coming here for the first time, you do not get treated with a friendly face. They need to be more organized for the new people that happen to see the restaurant and happen to walk in! The greeter needs to actually smile its already 12, you can smile! And furthermore, when i asked to see if i can sit at the counter, where there was 3 seats available, the lady said no... The guy has his things there she replied, "his things" on a stool? I guess hes a regular? Taking up space of a would be customer! Is the Bike Helmet ordering anything... NO so why cant i sit in the other seat! She then said, sit over there pointing at a table in the middle of traffic , No Menu no Forks or Spoon! I saw a couple leaving the corner of the counter and i sat down since i had no menu or nothing! They ignored me for about 5 mins before someone asked if i was eating in! Atleast the Food came fast but no questions if i want more coffee or if i was ok!
