In 54 years this is the absolute worst place I have ever been to, after simply voicing my concerns of waiting nearly 50 min for a simple breakfast order I was met with one of the worst attitudes I've ever encountered in the service industry!!! after waiting 10 min to get coffee another 10 min to place an order then more than 30 minutes later with a nearly empty restaurant the what I'm assuming to be the night shift manager shows up with the appetizer I told the waitress to just bring with the meal, I asked her why it's taking so long and there's nobody here she said they were understaffed and busy yet there was only a handful of people on the other side of the restaurant telling me she was being courteous to bring out the appetizers to me but more than 30 minutes after I finaly got to order, there was nothing courteous about this woman saying my wait is not her problem when I informed her it is absolutely her problem as she is obviously the manager which I have no idea how she could possibly have that position with her abusive and vulgar and down right nasty attitude, it's as if she was doing a favor by letting me eat there and wait indefinitely to get my food and then telling the cook who was "still" cooking the food by the way to cancel it and forget it you're not going to eat here, telling me to go somewhere else refusing to serve me even though I've waited an hour for food at that point... I refuse to give my hard earned money to a business that would keep and condone an employee that outright publicly verbally attacks patrons with absolutely no accountability, and after my call to corporate to report this location I will absolutely NEVER do business with them again... Went in because with the Covid19 closures there weren't many choices for breakfast. Food was questionable in taste and because of asking to trade off bacon and tomato and onion for jalapenos and chips (migas) I was upcharged .79 without warning. Also, a biscuit that tasted like crap is OK to trade for toast but add gravy ? Bam...another .89, again without warning, so we did it twice...Bam .89 again. Ok...so substitutions can cost extra but a manager with an attitude when I mentioned it, slapping my change in my hand and sarcastically telling me to have a blessed day, all without a mask or glove in sight, earned her this review. ...and a call to corporate...hey, I'm retired with nothing else to do. Horrible customer service and normal breakfast food. Don't go here. I don't know what it is about Canton but it's difficult to find a restaurant with decent service. Even knowing that, we still didn't have our low expectations met. We arrived and were primptly seated only to sit at rhe table for at least 10 minutes. Another waitress had to tell our waitress to come to the table or I am not sure we would have gotten service at all. We ordered and the waitress got one of our drink orders wrong. That's not too big of a deal. We got our food pretty quick and ate. We received our checks and then had to go to the registers and wait to pay. I find waiting to pay strange. Either you want my money or you don't. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a dine and dash problem. If you have any other choice, I would go to Collins Street in Lindale or QT in Terrell. This is the worst Denny's I've ever eaten at, haven't been in the place for over a year, bad service, bad food, unclean, let my mom talk me into going so the kids could get what they wanted. Should have refused, this place was worse than last time, and that's saying something, waitresses were lousy, no silverware on table, no one brought any, we got some off another table, waitress didn't bring stuff out we asked for several times, wouldn't check table, kept walking off the floor to hide in the back, food was cold, greasy, and undercooked, had to keep asking for things like, condiments, napkins, had to flag them down for refills and had to get up and ask for a to go box, I don't know what the deal with this Denny's is, but it is horrible, if I could give it a half star I would. Walked in around 11:40ish pm. We saw only 1 other table sat, 5 to 6 dirty messy tables, and their overnight server had a very bad attitude. My girlfriend and I greeted the young brown haired woman ( didn't have a name tag nor give us her name). She kept sighing from the minute we walked in till we left. We didn't even realize she was our server at first because she barely spoke to us when she sat us and then walked away immediately to bus the table behind us. Eventually she told us she'd be right back with us. Then when we thought she was coming to take our drink order, after looking at the menu for a good two minutes, she turned around, fuCKING SIGHED AGAIN, and then went back to the kitchen. My girlfriend and I immediately decided to leave. And to the young woman working that night, I get might have the longest and most shittiest day ever, and that's understandable. But I'm sorry we were hungry and just so happened to come in on you having a bad day. Maybe next time if it's that bad, just call in to work. read more

This was an awful experience from the very beginning. When we walked in, there were only 4 other families eating. One side of the restaurant was totally vacant. Very slow. So an employee walks by and is heading to the back towards the kitchen, sees us, and says she will be with us in a second. She never came back. Another employee finally came up and seated us. We sat down and asked for a high chair which we didn't get until 20 minutes later. We placed our order and waited. And waited. And waited. The waitress never came over to check on us. I'm assuming it was because the food was taking so long she didn't want to deal with the backlash. She only checked on the tables with food. So the manager comes out and sees we are the only table (there were only 5 now) that didn't have our food. She asks a waitress if we are the last and says "good", as though it wasn't a big deal. Our waitress comes and tells us there was a ticket problem, that they were just then making my husbands dish. We had been there for 45 minutes. She says it won't take much longer. 10 minutes later, she brings the food. THEN the manager comes to apologize, stating the problem was that we asked for no mushrooms on a dish and of course they made it with mushrooms. She says the waitress was afraid my husband was "deathly allergic" and had them remake it. I said that is what took 45 minutes?! To which she proceeds to argue with me over how long the process took. I said 45 to an hour. She says 30 minutes then closer to 40. This upset me a great deal. We ate quickly as we had already been there over an hour with a 3-month-old. The manager did comp our drinks and gave us a 25% off coupon. However, as we were trying to pay, 2 waitresses walk up to the waitress cashing us out, and proceed to discuss their sections for the evening. This causes the waitress cashing us out to stop paying attention to the register so we can be done, and pay attention and chat with the other girls instead. Finally, we leave and the manager gives us another coupon which I threw away. I would never EVER go back to this establishment. It was completely unprofessional. You could hear the manager yelling at people. And the service was absolutely appalling. If the waitress would have told us there was an issue instead of avoiding us, that little gesture would have went a long way. If the manager hadn't argued, that wouldn't have left me fuming. Recently moved to Canton and have dined at this Denny's three times in the past few weeks. Lunch with the family one day was perfect. Service was attentive and efficient. Breakfast with the husband one Sunday morning. Place was packed. Servers and staff were doing their best to get everything handled. Took a little while for the order but understandable due to quantity of people. All food delivered correctly prepared and hot. No complaints. Last visit was lunch by myself. Tea wasn't fresh but the lovely young lady waiting on me brewed fresh and got it to me as quickly as possible. So far, I am a very satisfied customer and glad this Denny's seems well run and food is pretty good. read more

I will never come back to this location again!! There were several empty tables when we arrived and one family in front of us waiting to be seated. In the time it took the waitstaff to seat this family a large line developed of people ready to pay their bills. We waited for a good 5 minutes before we were even acknowledged.
