There were purple flowers on the sides with pink one (no purple in the inspiration pic), no pearls, no vintage lattice work-just pipped the flowers on the sides with green stems (no stems in the pic) and the top writing. I was disappointed. I asked them to include blue flowers to balance out that it felt a little too girly, and they went back and added them which made it look better. I am not sure if the inspo pics got lost in the shuffle or if too much creative lee-way was taken but either way, I felt a little let down but was not going to let it ruin my day. However, on the drive home I still felt like it was pretty, but just not what I had in mind. I decided to call Bittersweet which is local to us and ask if they could add a few elements like the lattice and pearls. Faith was so kind on the phone and told me to bring it in being also clear that they aren't gluten free. I understood, but since we don't have true allergies I told her I was comfortable with them fixing it. It would not medically harm anyone if there was cross contamination. When I got there I showed her the original picture and sent it to her personal phone. Later I went to pick it up after taking my little to lunch, it came out it and was FANTASTIC! They added all the elements it was missing that I wanted and loved. It still doesn't exactly match my pictures but it looks SO cute now and I am very very happy! When I went to pay, she told me to just go enjoy my cake and that they were happy to help. THIS is how you win business, friends!! ANYTIME, I am ordering goodies, back to school treats for teachers, holiday yummies or cakes that aren't for my GF kids, I will be getting them from Bittersweet!!!! Thank you, Faith!!!
