This was a great stop in Emory. We asked what they were famous for and they shared the chicken fried steak. Wife took an order of that and I had the chicken fried chicken. Atmosphere was quant and staff were very friendly. Unfortunately they didn't have mash potatoes which to me is a classic pairing. We went for curly seasoned curly fries - i know, totally random. Unfortunatley they missed the seasoning but who doesn't like a good curly fry. You get a trip to the salad bar with the entree orders. It was simple but still enjoyed the offer to get some greens in. There were some complaints that the salad plates are to small but I think its just right for a complementary version. Price was very reasonable and we would definitely come back to enjoy their breakfast offerings. Service was great. Although the chicken fried steak and chicken version were good, they weren't unforgettable. read more

Great Breakfast and reasonable prices! We only had breakfast here but I suspect most everything is good. Had the special, egg scramble with sausage side of home fries (cooked nicely) with the biscuits and gravy. We also ordered the oatmeal with a side of bacon (thick cut and cooked nicely) sorry no pic. Coffee was good, hot and steady. Everyone working was pleasant and attentive. This is a great home town dinner type vibe that the locals definitely frequent. read more

This lace is absolutely the best breakfast place I have been to since n a long time. Visiting here for our Grandson's wedding, The entire staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was consistently exceptional. We are here for a week and have had such an awesome meal we have come back every morning. All our meals were perfect and the (made from scratch chili) was the best I have ever had. So good I had it on my eggs! We sat in the same area in the restaurant, so we had the same waitress each day except Saturday. She was diffently a keeper . She deserves a raise!!! I wish I could remember her name. She was taking care of the tables at the back of the restaurant. I would highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch! read more

Went to check an apartment complex in Emory. A friend living in Emory recommended this place. I will be frequenting the place often once I get moved. Food and employees are great. If you leave hungry it's your fault. I had a child/senior plate. It was more food than I could eat. Thank you to the owners and employees for such a great experience! read more

There's no better place for breakfast of lunch! Breakfast served all day, pretty much 90% of lunch can be ordered for breakfast!

Iconic Country Cafe. Local flavor well worth the trip and the money. Food was cooked perfectly and fresh. Definitely worth it. You will have a great experience there. I will definitely be headed back. read more

We arrived for breakfast and were seated. We were told someone would be with soon. We sat there and watched two other tables seated and orders taken before we had ours taken. Once our order was taken, and we were served, I was disappointed with the food. The pancakes tasted off and were not good and my husband's eggs were overcooked as well as the bacon. We are new to the area and wanted to try the cafe. We had been told they had great food. It may have been an off day, but we won't be back. read more

On our way to Sheveport LA we always stop at this cafe for breakfast. The next day on our way home we stop and get their lunch special because their food is so good. Today the special was lasagna or chicken fried stake. Hubby got chicken fried steak and I got the lasagna. Their food is always good but the lasagna was amazing. Service is always great and the staff is always personable. Prices are very reasonable especially breakfast. Highly highly recommend. read more

Nice friendly place, good for breakfast and lunch. A mom & pop type restaurant. Someone had left two boxes of fresh vegetables, corn on the cob, yellow squash, and cucumbers. A sign said free, help yourself. I'm not sure I've ever seen that before. Thank you to them and the restaurant! You have a very caring community. It was our pleasure read more

Decent small town cafe. We all ate breakfast which was average. Coffee was continuously refilled, and service was excellent.

I enjoy the lunch specials here. Nothing fancy, just good home cooking. Their chicken fried steak as well as the open face roast beef are two of my favorites. Biggest complaint is they are stingy with their salad bar. Small plates and prominent signs reminding you that you are only allowed one trip to the bar kind of kills the enjoyment. read more

Awesome down-home country breakfast!! Coffee was good, bacon was crispy, eggs were perfect, and gravy was just right.

Oh my goodness! Such great food and huge portions and friendly staff! Good small town feeling! We had waffle with blueberries and Western Omelette! read more

You can't go wrong at Ya'll Come Back Cafe if you are looking for a continental casual restaurant in Texas' 4th smallest county. Bun on the burger is amazing. Fries are thick and crispy. Fried pies taste homemade from scratch...even the chocolate pudding. Not much on healthy options here, so loosen up your belt and bring your artery floss. read more

This is the second time we've came here. The last time I had the chicken fried steak and enjoyed it. Today I had bacon, eggs and hash browns. Husband had sausage, biscuits & gravy. Everything was good. Nothing fancy, but the staff is super friendly and it has a down home feel. read more

My Dad and I stumbled across this place while looking at smaller cities for potential retirement locations. This place, hands down, has the best cheeseburger ever. We've now made several trips from Dallas to Emory just for Lunch. They also have an awesome salad bar and the waitresses and staff are all friendly and quick to provide excellent service. It's about an hour drive for us, one way but well worth the time. read more

My favorite place to get breakfast or even a late lunch! The only downside is how full you are when you leave! The food feels like home, it's wonderful. Always a good day when I come through here read more

Great food and service. New owners have really cleaned the place up. Would diffanantly recommend.

Service was beyond bad. Service with a smile...... Not so much. Waitress acted like we were lucky she was waiting on us.. By the speed at which she brought refills and asked about the meal quality. It was less than impressive, let's just say that. read more

I love trying local places when I'm travelling and the Y'all Come Back Cafe is just my cup of tea. While it was a bit lacking in decor, it made up for it in droves of local color. I'm guessing there are rarely tourists in Emory, so you can count on the fact that most restaraunts are local hangouts. But this definitely seemed to be the sort of place folks went to on a very regular basis, if not daily. The lunch special was great and super affordable. For $6.99 I got popcorn shrimp and wonderful cornmeal breaded catfish, with mashed potatoes heaped with gravy, corn on the cob, and a big bowl of cornmeal muffins and biscuits. Add to this a huge glass of sweet tea (I ordered mine half sweet, half regular and was well pleased) and you will find yourself STUFFED. Also available was a huge salad bar with yummy okra pickles and some incredibly delicious pickled green tomatos that I've been trying to track down to bring home. I only wish I had saved room to try a fried pie. Highly recommended if you love roadside cafes and local dives. read more

Came here after church for Sunday lunch. Was greeted right away by team members. You get your seat where open. This is a local establishment. It is well established. Lots of locals here. Not for Graham's and vegetarians. Southern home cooking here. The food comes out hot and great flavor. No alcohol. Can be really busy at lunch anyway you go. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed. read more

Worse experience ever. First and last time! I ordered the patty melt and tea. The tea was great but the patty melt was so salty I couldn't eat it. When I paid I told the cashier it was extremely salty and her response was they don't salt anything in a condescending tone. I'm sorry but eat salt but not when it's like eating plain salt. read more

Awesome chicken fried steak. Got the salad bar instead of one of my sides. Mixed salads tasted home made. Best fried pie ever. Got the chocolate pecan. MMmmm. Nice light flakey crust. Can't beat it for the price. Great local place. read more

Excellent home cooking! We try to make regular visits when we can. Lois is the best waitress there. Ask for her .... Seriously

The food was tasty, but nothing better than what I could get at Sonic or IHOP. The service was lacking because the waitress was slightly rude answering our questions when we walked in. She basically took our order, brought our drinks and food, and that was it. Never came back to check on us after we received our food. However, the cashier at the door was very pleasant. We probably won't be going back. read more

Worst place ive ever been. Took them 45 minutes to get my food out and it was ice cold. Everyone was very rude. I wasnt even greeted when i walked in the door. Yall stay away from the yall come back. read more
