Who doesn't love a good home-cooked meal--especially breakfast?…read more We were in the area and decided to stop in for breakfast. The prices were surprisingly affordable, and the portions were generous. I ordered the two-egg breakfast with ham and sourdough toast. It was solid, but next time I'm definitely getting the biscuits. My husband ordered them, and they looked incredible--big, flaky, and clearly homemade. I had serious toast regret! The service was friendly, and there's plenty of seating across two dining areas. I also noticed a salad bar and what looked like some tasty lunch options, so we may have to come back to try that too. This spot is casual, welcoming, and serves up affordable, comforting home cooking. Add it to the love list

I went out with 10 other people in the group to celebrate my fiancée's grandmother's 84th Birthday…read more It has been 3 years since I went to the old Redneck cafe before it burned down... Here's what I ordered; chicken strips, baby carrots, steamed broccolis, and some home-cut French fries to replace the standard-issue salad it comes with on the menu. The order came with the ranch dressing for the broccolis and the gravy for the chicken tenders. So those are pluses for my order. Here's where it goes down south; The chicken tenders tasted okay, a bit dry and it was in the same fryer as the catfish with the cornmeal batter. I'd suggest using a different fryer for the chicken ONLY. The saving grace is the gravy which tasted quite good with a good note of black pepper on it! The baby carrots were a bit of a turnoff for me! It's pretty soft, almost to the point of being mushy, and tasted a bit spoiled! That is NOT what I want on my carrots! I wanted freshly cooked and buttery baby carrots, not this mushy junk... The broccolis were steamed okay. It wasn't fork-tender, but it wasn't crunchy at all. Personally, I'd prefer it freshly steamed until fork-tender. That is my kind of steamed broccolis! Another saving grace is the ranch dressing which tasted quite good and paired will with the broccolis! The main, and INFURIATING, part is when they forgot my home-cut French fries as a replacement for my salad!!! I was so upset that I didn't even want the fries when asked. I said to let them keep the fries, because I don't care and wanted them to learn the lesson on what the customers ACTUALLY ordered. I was waiting the WHOLE TIME on my fries while eating my dinner to the point when I was just "FORGET IT! Keep the da&n fries!" The man wearing jeans, a light red motorcycle shirt, glasses on, and a light grey beret cap, he brought out my order and did NOT bring out my fries! I fully expect the food to be better and taste the same as the old Redneck Cafe. Also I expect the bar/grill to hire more servers, because that place was running on two of them the whole time I was there!

Glancing through the reviews, it all has been said already but I'll reinforce it. :) With our remote working life, we are staying close by on Lake Tawakoni. We like being social so where ever we are, we try to hang out in a coffee shop for the local experience and we were so happy for the experience at Reka's! Other reviewers were right... Reka and Bert are wonderful people! We felt right at home and were very welcomed. The coffee is delicious, with flavors and varying level of strength. I opted for Starter Fluid... a very bold roast with a high caffeine level. Most dark roasts are bitter but this wasn't at all! We sat comfortably in the "living room" area, wifi strong and power available to keep the laptop going. After one cup, we decided to partake in some of their baked goods deliciousness. OMG The double chocolate muffin! They also have other options such as scones, quiches and klobasneks. We will be consuming those on lunch! Thanks Bert and gang for letting us hang out! We will definitely be back!

They were so kind, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure my order was handled perfectly. I never felt like an inconvenience for asking them to help on such short notice. The next morning, everything was ready exactly as promised. The sandwiches were fresh, delicious, and a huge hit at the meeting!
