Glancing through the reviews, it all has been said already but I'll reinforce it. :) With our remote working life, we are staying close by on Lake Tawakoni. We like being social so where ever we are, we try to hang out in a coffee shop for the local experience and we were so happy for the experience at Reka's! Other reviewers were right... Reka and Bert are wonderful people! We felt right at home and were very welcomed. The coffee is delicious, with flavors and varying level of strength. I opted for Starter Fluid... a very bold roast with a high caffeine level. Most dark roasts are bitter but this wasn't at all! We sat comfortably in the "living room" area, wifi strong and power available to keep the laptop going. After one cup, we decided to partake in some of their baked goods deliciousness. OMG The double chocolate muffin! They also have other options such as scones, quiches and klobasneks. We will be consuming those on lunch! Thanks Bert and gang for letting us hang out! We will definitely be back!

The prices were surprisingly affordable, and the portions were generous. I ordered the two-egg breakfast with ham and sourdough toast. It was solid, but next time I'm definitely getting the biscuits. My husband ordered them, and they looked incredible--big, flaky, and clearly homemade. I had serious toast regret! The service was friendly, and there's plenty of seating across two dining areas. I also noticed a salad bar and what looked like some tasty lunch options, so we may have to come back to try that too. I join a group of friends on every other Tuesday to play cards. They serve food, they bring in scones and I've heard about the tasty brisket burritos from Slaughterhouse bbq but I've not tried them. Unfortunately they aren't stocked with a variety of teas ... they carry no decaf for instance. Sometimes they run out of ingredients needed to make specialty coffees that are in the menu. Which can be frustrating. My go to drink at Coffee places is a London fog with a sugar free vanilla syrup. I stopped trying to get that here because they either have run out of earl grey tea or the sf vanilla. So I order the unsweetened tea. My friend got a smoothie which looked pretty delicious! It's worth a little inconvenience to go here! Give it a go!

I had a maple latte of some kind (I can't remember the name) that had maple syrup, a touch of white chocolate syrup and it was cinnamon-infused. I don't normally get hot coffee, but he said it's not the best choice iced, so I went with it. (He had me at "cinnamon-infused"). It was described as a "less sweet" coffee, so I was surprised by the first sip. It was sweet--I thought TOO sweet. But as I settled in to sips 3 and 4, it didn't seem quite so sugary. I enjoyed the smooth roast, and I would visit again!

I ordered a hot latte and my wife ordered an iced latte, and we both enjoyed our drinks quite a bit. Not too strong, not too weak, and reasonably priced. The fellow who made our drinks served them to us while we were hanging out in the board game and children's book area, which is adjacent to a local artisan marketplace. Yep, eclectic, and wonderful. Bonus points for a very clean bathroom with a changing table and stool for toddlers to use the sink.
