I forgot to take a "before" picture of the Mongolian Beef, this is the "after"

Best Asian food in the Lake Fork area. We had business at the sale barn in Emory and decided to go to CK Kitchen for lunch. My wife had the shrimp fried rice and I had the Mongolian Beef. Both were delicious, cooked fresh, and large portions. We will definitely be back soon.

    Sesame chicken

Very friendly people. Food is very good. The chicken fried rice is wonderful. My wife said the sesame chicken is very good. Egg rolls are as good as anywhere.

Delicious chicken options! Very fresh ingredients including organic spinach!!!

We live near Dallas and drive through Emory often. We are so glad we stopped at CK Kitchen in Emory. This will be the first of many visits because we found the entire experience to be wonderful!!! We were warmly greeted by the staff and seated in a clean and nicely decorated dining room. Our server (we found out later she and her husband, the chef, own CK Kitchen) was so kind. She patiently explained the different dishes to us as we were new and needed help choosing what to order. They use fresh homemade ingredients. They cook the vegetables to perfection so they are not soggy. They are crispy and full of flavor which compliments their seasonings. The food was amazing! We were thankful to have leftovers to enjoy another day! We highly recommend CK Kitchen!!!

Fast and friendly service. One of my favorite local places to eat when I'm wanting something different that not everyone has around this area. They offer breakfast and Asian cuisine. Some of my favorites is the avocado toast with a fried egg on top and their crepes, and French toast, so good!

    Sushi menu

It's rare to find an Asian restaurant in east Texas and it's a shame this one doesn't do a better job. The menu is very much hit or miss with a mixture of low-end pre-made items and some flavorful unique offerings. Hit: Wonton soup-- the lemon grass and fresh Thai basil make this broth probably the best of the menu. Miss: Signature Dishes--most of these are odd. They have familiar names, but the recipes are more of a fusion that ends up tasting "ok" but not exactly what you were looking for. Most of the sauces taste like they came from a jar. For an extra dollar, change the protein from chicken or tofu to shrimp. Except the shrimp are overly breaded and look suspiciously like they came from a SeaPak box (see photo). Hit: Chicken lettuce wraps. Great flavor and very good value. This plus a cup of wonton soup is a meal for $12. Skip the sushi (relatively new offering). Overpriced and the rice was unflavored and day-old. Arrived home to learn that wasabi is only included on request. Friendly staff at the counter but the kitchen needs some attention.

The delicious and awesome French crêpes with fruit and sweet topping. Three to an order. Breakfast is served from 7 AM to 2:30 PM.

A great place to grab breakfast, even on Sunday after church. Closed Tuesday. Open 7 AM to 2:30 PM the rest of the week. They even brought back their Asian menu three nights a week only.

    Mongolian beef noodles

I am so glad that Emory now has an Asian Restaurant. I have eaten here 3 times since it opened, and it does not disappoint. My favorite food is the Mongolian beef noodles. I always have to get a togo box to take the leftovers home. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because they have bottled drinks and I like to have ice in my drink. This is a great addition to Emory!!

Two words: food poisoning! I ate in and got the orange chicken with fried rice and I have been so sick the last 2 days after eating at CK's.

I started with the garlic edamame, Kani salad, and gyoza. The gyoza are pan fried perfectly! Some places fry them too hard or deep fry them. The kani salad is a mix of shredded cucumber, spicy crab mix with spicy mayo, and roe. I ordered the Angry Dragon roll and the Rockwall roll. The Rockwall roll is sweet with coconut shrimp wrapped, topped with spicy crab mix and coconut sauce. It's delicious! The atmosphere is very nice and intimate. Darker in the dining room with table lamps. You're not looking around the room at everyone, but more focused on just your party. I will definitely be returning to Basil Cafe more often! Can't wait to try more sushi! Thanks again Annika for a great experience!

Overall, the food was solid with a few standout items. The spicy tuna roll was excellent -- fresh, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the meal. The ramen was also quite good and comforting. The hibachi steak, however, was a bit of a surprise. The steak was cooked exactly to the temperature I requested, but it (along with the vegetables) arrived slightly cold, which took away from the experience. The fried rice also lacked a bit of seasoning and could have used a little more flavor. While this wasn't a bad dining experience by any means, I'm still on the search for that standout spot in the area that truly checks all the boxes. That said, there are definitely some dishes here worth coming back for.

My dish was probably 60% vegetables and the rest was meat. It was definitely mostly vegetables. I finished all the meat, but it's really only enough for 1 person. I think they could've added more meat. I did not get any rice or lo mein since I'm on a low carb diet. I asked if I could sub the rice for another side dish, and they said no, which was disappointing. The miso soup was fine. It's the instant miso soup that you can buy at Asian grocery stores (typical of every sushi restaurant). My bf said the food was ok. He ate some of the Hunan beef (just the beef part) and some lo mein. The Hunan beef had a lot of baby corn, which I do not like. He did not eat much besides the noodles. Service was good. The decor inside was really nice. There are paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling and the table has a cute Sakura vase. There is a photo spot outside.

This place is really going down hill…read more My wife and I ate here for lunch, on a Wednesday. We were sat, and waited 12 min for drinks while we were assaulted by cigarette smoke coming from the back. Apparently, some of the staff were smoking with the back door open. We almost left, and I wish we would have. The waitress didn't want to be there. It was almost like we were bothering her by being there. I ordered the Mongolian chicken lunch. What I received was the Mongolian beef. I didn't want to wait on them to fix the right entree, so I ate it. It was okay. I ordered water with lemon and I guess they were out of lemons.... We were watching them take forks out of the dishwasher and place them into a pitcher of clear liquid. Not sure what that was about. My wife got the chicken lomein and the chicken was soggy and greasy, she only had a few bites. Brought it home, and my 17yo son wouldn't even eat it. I really liked this place when it opened. Now it is struggling. I will not be back for a while. Only acceptable Asian in that area is Oishi Raman IMHO. I hope Forney gets some decent places with the new Gateway additions.

The inside is well structured for those who want to sit at the bar to eat alone or to sit in booths around the room. Decor is nice, lighting on the moody side & the restrooms were clean. When I did dine in I will say it took over 10 minutes before the server even acknowledged me, so I wasn't a fan of that. Although I may not have been assigned to the other servers they could've offered a drink or grabbed the gentleman to let him know I was sitting there, but all chose to just smile and walk by until he arrived (which is why I'm rating them a 4/5). When it comes to the food you can't go wrong with anything they offer. I personally love nigiri, so that's what I've continued to order from them and it's been fresh & flavorful each time. It's better to dine in for your first experience because they have a list of different fish you can choose from that isn't available to view online when you order to-go. I also think it's better to come in person as they do have quite the happy hour selection. The fried rice, beef skewers, edamame etc are all great options and portion sizes that will leave you satisfied. I didn't try any of their alcoholic beverages, but I'm sure those are just as good. If you're in the area check them out!
