I've stopped in here a few times now, and it's consistently great -- never a miss. The fried catfish wears the thinnest, most flavorful batter jacket -- underneath, the fish is flaky and pristine. Fries bring a sneaky little kick that keeps you reaching back. Shrimp? Crispy armor on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside -- not a rubbery tail in sight. And then there's Ciro. The man refuses to sit still. He's at the register, flipping fish, and bringing plates to your table -- all side-by-side with his crew like it's just another Tuesday. No high perch, no clipboard, nope. The boss sweats with the team, and you can taste that energy in every bite. Hidden gem? More like a delicious little secret hiding in plain sight off I-30. read more

We've been here before and had a good dining experience, but tonight was awful. 9 piece shrimp scampi advertised as served with a lemon garlic butter sauce, served with rice and toast. Sounds good, right? What I got was shrimp drowned in melted butter with a tablespoon of rice tossed in, and two ends cut off a dinner roll. There was no seasoning. No lemon. No garlic. And definitely no toast. I used those little dinner roll ends to soak up some of the cup of butter it was swimming in but they made no difference. This was just lazy. I ate the overcooked shrimp because I could pull it out of its grease bath, but the rest could not be rescued from the oil spill. I would have tried if the clipped ends of the dinner roll had been toasted. The rice was a goner before I could attempt a save. A cup of melted butter is NOT a sauce, Ciro's! Do better. I certainly won't ever order this again. read more

Deep fried fish, frog leg, and oyster. Fish fries and tacos are very good. Service is very good also

Can't say enough good things about Ciro's. The catfish and shrimp is delicious, the cole slaw is some of the best and those hush puppies are yummy good! The service is excellent, with ones preparing the food the family who own it. My only fuss is that sometimes it's too smokey/stuffy - they probably could use a stronger ventilation system. Of course, that does not stop us from driving the 26 miles twice a month to eat here!!! We love it! read more

Stopped in for a late lunch, and this place was the absolute best choice! The 4-piece catfish was some of the best I've ever had--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I definitely should have ordered more hush puppies; they were delicious and left me wanting more. The place was spotless and nicely decorated, with a welcoming vibe. Inexpensive seafood done right! Catfish, shrimp, tilapia, gumbo, oysters and FROG LEGS! That's right folks, they have it all - fried, grolled, and boiled - seved in tacos or in baskets - and everything we ate was great! And yes - for the finicky nutballs - they also have hamburgers, chicken strips, and corny dogs. But why eat those things when they have frog-legs fried to perfection!!?! (The grilled shrimp and fried catfish were also standouts!) Order at the counter, then fix your drinks (soft drinks or tea). If you want cocktail sauce; there is counter to make it (instructions on the wall)! The baskets come with fries, excellent hush-puppies, and fresh coleslaw. Chocolate or coconut pies for dessert. I can't to come back & try more items from the menu! read more

Greatness.. very good catfish and shrimp combo.. great deal with great taste and service.

First time visit. Walked in, looked clean. Several couples/families dining in. I ordered regular net grilled shrimp with fries, slaw and drink to go. $$15.00 (excluding $5.00 tip). The service was ok, I saw they were getting a table served that came in before me so I patiently waited and then she walked back with a tray towards me and I reminded her I asked for it to go. She understood right away and they packaged it up and I was on my way. I'll go back and try other menu items. The grilled shrimp, etc., was great. Well worth price. Good experience and good value. I'll dine in next time. Peace, people. read more
