Crab fried rice. Saw my friend bought crab fried noodles $55 and we wanted to try it…read more Taste was great .. so much black bean that we had to pick them out one by one. Also the rice they gave out .. really they could improve and give more rice. Would have given 5 stars if they had given out more rice.. and rice isn't expensive either. Next time gonna ask them not to use that much black beans.

I want to share my disappointing experience with C&A Seafood + Fruit in Dallas, hoping it helps…read moreothers make informed decisions and encourages the business to take food safety and customer service more seriously. On October 18, 2025, I purchased live blue crabs from this store. The crabs appeared active when sold, but after cooking them the same day, I immediately noticed a strong ammonia odor coming from the meat. This is a clear sign of spoilage and improper seafood handling. The crabs were completely inedible and had to be discarded. Concerned about food safety and quality control, I reached out to the store through their WeChat group (where they promote products and communicate with customers). Instead of receiving an apology or offer for refund or replacement, the owner responded with an extremely rude and dismissive attitude. They showed no accountability, no concern for customer health, and made no effort to resolve the issue. Shockingly, when I continued to explain the situation, the owner even threatened to "sue me" simply for sharing my honest experience and concerns about food safety. This response was unprofessional and intimidating. I was not asking for anything unreasonable--just acknowledgment and responsibility for selling spoiled seafood. Every customer deserves to be treated with basic respect when raising a valid concern, but the way this business handled the matter was both disappointing and irresponsible. I have since reported this incident to the relevant food safety authorities for further investigation, as seafood freshness is not a small issue--it directly affects consumer health. I hope this review serves as a warning for others to be cautious when purchasing from this store. Selling spoiled food, responding rudely, and threatening customers who speak up is completely unacceptable. Businesses that handle perishable products should prioritize honesty, safety, and respect for their customers--these are the true foundations of trust and reputation.

This review is a combination ~ my actual store experiences, which have been excellent...great…read moreselection, extremely kind and helpful staff, very clean and convenient location, with the frustrations I've had to deal with in trying to REACH the actual store(s) via calling. The phone number(s) given direct one to a general call center. While I'm sure those employed there are knowledgeable, I am more comfortable speaking with people at the actual store, who I have found to be very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions via their personal experience. In my attempts to call at least three different stores, I get the "Third Degree" as to WHY I wish to call the store...with THIS particular store (Preston and Belt Line, Addison, TX), my reply that I preferred to speak with someone at the actual store was not sufficient, and I was told they DON'T HAVE A NUMBER! RIDICULOUS! In another situation, it took me quite some time convincing a call center rep to get the Wylie, TX location's number until I gave the reason that I was an EXCELLENT customer, but that could quickly change if I was not given the local number! It was only then that it was, grudgingly, given. Perhaps "Corporate" needs reminding that Central Market, Captain Dave's, Hirsch's Meats, etc. are just short jaunts away and I can directly speak to those at each actual location with ease. Again, no complaints with the stores, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has received the "Third Degree" treatment and I hate to think the stores will suffer for it. In a world being overtaken with AI, much can be said for "one on one" CUSTOMER SERVICE that those at corporate levels appear to have forgotten and place too far down on their list of what is truly important.

We heard about this place & since we were in the area so tried it for lunch…read more.. We were seated immediately near the kitchen. Rolando was our server he was attentive & gave us good service. We ordered cioppino & rainbow trout grilled with mashed potatoes & corn as our sides. Trout was finely prepared nicely grilled & seasoned. Loved the corn with chipotle seasoning it went very well with the fish & potatoes were good. But Cioppino was not how it's usually prepared the broth seemed very light , seasoning was not up to the mark & the mussels were ok ... had better mussels in other places... it's a seafood place so we were expecting nice juicy mussels but the meat in clams & mussels were extremely small.... That was a let down... we did take the leftover broth to have it later but it didn't tasted good ( turned very sour) so threw it away... Maybe it was one of the off day but we felt disappointed... will try something else if we visit again.

From the Off-putting odor that hits you as you enter the premise to the rather dull interiors, the place did not create any excitement. Seating though ample was kinda weird with booths available to the end of the restaurant, which seemed rather dark and uninviting. The service by Rolando was friendly and courteous which was the saving grace. The Cioppino seemed more like a tomato broth in taste and looks with some seafood thrown in. Lacked the flavors and odors of a great dish that it could have been. Seafood added to it while fresh did not seem to be of great quality. The grilled swordfish with whipped potatoes and corn was good. Will come back if there are no other options

Now the sign said they cut fish so this leads me to believe they cut like you ask.. I wanted a steak cut so all bones would be in a central location.. The guy there was not very help maybe he didnt understand but then he shouldn't be there in front addressing customers if he cannot give customers what they are asking for or explain what can be done. All he said that I really got was that I had to buy the whole fish, which was fine cuz I needed a lot. I'm asking questions trying to make sure I get what I'm asking for but was not really getting clear answers, so I just let him to him since HE's the professional and cuts fish everyday! Now my family buys buffalo fish in Memphis TN all the time, we always got card game and family fish fry's going. So my expectations were really high because Id found a fish market like home, has buffalo, and the place been around since 1950, I research everything reviews were iffy but they were dated or filtered. HOWEVER, I GAVE THEM BENEFIT OF DOUBT and TOO MUCH CREDIT!! I get home open up the package like WTF, half a head, the tail, fins attached and everything butcher in between. The smell was so bad so, of course I wash it really well, but the smell barely faded. So I'm standing there looking at all this butchered ass fish mangled and such and I couldn't bring myself to chance it with my family so I threw it out!! $67.78 GONE!! Catfish was fine but I literally had to regroup, run to Walmart for Tilapia! Super disappointed! What's funny though.. on my way out the door I joked and asked... "there's no head in here right" he smiled and shook his head "no". But I DID HAVE HALF THE HEAD LESS THE EYES! I started to call but really don't think they care much about customers service, customer satisfaction, or customer reviews but KNOW THIS, I will not be back, I don't have money to loose and shouldnt have this type of nonsense when spending money with a company that's been around this long.. It's shameful on the owners part! MY $67.78 GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN!! What could be done to IMPROVE LISTEN better. ANSWER questions asked!!!! PROVIDE understanding for those NOT in the fish industry. HIRE knowledgeable people that CAN speak English and know their TRADE.... TRAIN your workers!! CHECK fish for quality DONT SELL BAD FISH... END GOAL.... Don't sell bad fish!!!
