It used to be a fresh seafood shoppe, Then? They offered people to cook their seafood for them. Then?, they added tables, Then? They invited a very famous Chinese chef to cook for them. Now? The small shoppe is always packed with a 30 minute wait-time. Good selection of menu items including vegetarian, beef, chicken, pork (but no goat or lamb). Mostly Chinese/asian clientele so it must be very close to NOT "Americanised" cooking style. Who needs all the sweet not sassy or spicy sugar-laden unimpressive dishes anyways?. Round shell Clams - tasty, not salty, pudgy-clams!! Long shell "Razor" clams - Black-pepper beef-uh (Medium) very tender, good meaty portions. Mapo Tofu - FIRE ON A PLATE (not too bad for the white-guy: I love it! I just had to get extra napkins for my sweaty brow) Belacan string beans - (me) how is it?, (wifey) "sooo good, the best!" Crab fried rice. Saw my friend bought crab fried noodles $55 and we wanted to try it. Taste was great .. so much black bean that we had to pick them out one by one. Also the rice they gave out .. really they could improve and give more rice. Would have given 5 stars if they had given out more rice.. and rice isn't expensive either. We ordered for pick up and the food is so delicious and super authentic!!! We got the house special pork ribs, balacan string beans, stir fried Manila clams and steamed chicken with scallion oil. Everything was so good. I am excited to try more dishes especially the lobster noodles and Dungeness crab fried rice. You can also eat there now they set up a few tables. I came here for authentic Canton food, and that is exactly what I had. Every dish was wonderful. They are a small, busy establishment, so I would encourage to visit during the weekday if possible. If not, be prepared for a long wait. They only have few tables, so I would recommend a reservation. It also took a while for the food, so perhaps, call to order ahead. This is the best Cantonese food in dfw and beyond. I tried house special curry (fresh seafood and tofu), choy sum (cooked the old-fashioned way), clam in black bean sauce (very fresh and meaty), pineapple pork ribs (crispy and well-balanced). They were out of tiger prawns, but I'd like to try that next time. They were super friendly and kept apologizing for the wait. This response was unprofessional and intimidating. I was not asking for anything unreasonable--just acknowledgment and responsibility for selling spoiled seafood. Every customer deserves to be treated with basic respect when raising a valid concern, but the way this business handled the matter was both disappointing and irresponsible. I have since reported this incident to the relevant food safety authorities for further investigation, as seafood freshness is not a small issue--it directly affects consumer health.
