My family has lived in the Greenville/Caddo area for decades, long before I was born. However, we didn't discover this place until about ten or so years ago, were looking for a place to eat breakfast and came upon this place. The service was amazing, food was like Grandma used to make and the dining area was decorated to make you know you were in the country. Plate smelled like a wet dog. Service was grotesque. All personnel hacking with deep rolling coughs. Coldest AC blowing at all times.

We phoned ahead and placed a pick up order. The staff was very friendly and helpful on the phone and on arrival. The restaurant was clean and not overly crowded for a Saturday evening. Our food was great and the portions are huge! Note to self: the half order of fried pickles would be plenty next time. My husband had the giant burger and curly fries and made two meals out of it. I was also able to have two meals out of my 1 piece catfish plate with sides. By the way, the fried squash is delicious. We'd return next time we're visiting Caddo Mills. read more

This is a hard one. We have been several times over the years. First experiences were for breakfast. The food is ok, average. The issue for us is the service. They always seem to have plenty of staff but when you're needing something or you are clearly finished. They seem to avoid you and walk on by. Last time was for lunch. They have good value and portions. The food is ok. Again it's the service issue of being ignored when you are clearly done and they just keep walking by not asking if need a go box or the check. Bucky's!!! I know...but it's a real place. Nice workers today and a clean cafe. We were in the lunch time crowd so it took a bit to get food. (To be expected during lunch time.) We were also in a large group. We shared the large chicken fried steak, fried potatoes and onions, fried squash, and corn bread. The CFS was great as well as the gravy and squash. Food is awesome, every day off I go up their and pick up biscuits and gravy, I'm addicted to it! Usually get on my day off 3 biscuits with sausage gravy and egg Oved easy/medium.. Chicken fried steak is really good too, portion sizes are huge on the appetizers... got the fried jalapeños fritters and couldn't even remotely finish it.... Their ranch is really good. I've had only 10% of the menu, and I've been here probably 3-4 times a month for a year and half now. Note- they do have a drive thru... Didn't notice till months later lol. read more

A friend of mine lives around the corner from Bucky's, and when I visited recently we ate there several times. One day I had biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. The bacon was flavorful and cooked just right, the B&G's were good, gravy had lots of sausage in it. Another day I had a burger and fries. Both were good. Local restaurant with friendly staff. The parking lot was FULL but a car was backing out so we lucked out!! We were seated quickly it took a little bit to be waited on a bit to get our food but boy it was so worth it!! Please, please put this on your to do list. Stumbled across this place while house hunting. Was completely exhausted and when we walked in it was as if we had won an award. Greeted with "hey y'all" come on in! Waitresses keep you laughing and confirm that everything on the menu is awesome. My husband and I both ordered the cheeseburger. He ordered onion rings and ai ordered the fries. These burgers are amazing. The char on the meat accompanied with a toasted bun and all the fixins. We ordered tea and boy was it good!!! Everything on the menu was reasonably priced. 2 burgers, 2 sides and 2 beverages 21.00. Can't go wrong with that and quality entertainment. read more

Went to Bucky's for the first time and had really good food. Breakfast, chicken fried steak, fried pickles were very yummy. Service was quick and attentive. When we got the bill though we were very surprised that we were charged 2.75 (regular price for soda or iced tea) for every refill. Needless to say, that can add up very quickly. None of us had excessive amounts of tea or soft drinks ( and a few had just ice water). I am sad because we felt like we had found our cool little out-of-the-way go to in the country. Sadly, we won't be back. (Note: I don't recall seeing the refill policy on the menu. At least advise the customer verbally when you are offering a refill.) read more

This place is just your basic country diner, but breakfast never disappoints. It's always fast and delicious. The prices are great. The staff is always really friendly and nice. And I like their breakfast tacos better than places that say they specialize in breakfast tacos. read more

Friends dragged me here. Small cozy diner with funny sayings on the walls. Bathrooms clean. Waitresses sassy. Kind on a luckless name, now that a Buc-ee's has opened not far off. The non-breakfast menu is like 80% types of chicken and most of the remainder burgers so its not amazingly fancy. Breakfast menu is conventional- I didn't see any surprises but then wasn't looking for any. My chicken fried steak was just fine. My diet coke was super terrible and unsweet. I told the waitress that I think they mad a problem with their mix, and they did. Apologized profusely and pleasantly. Seems like what they do here is simple comfort food - if that's what you seek I recommend Bucky's. read more

Have been driving by this place for years and have never eaten here. Came on a Friday morning to try their breakfast and omg!! I can't believe this hasn't been on my radar! They serve breakfast or their regular menu all day. I had the sausage omelette with hash browns and biscuits and gravy.... Everything was very very good and large sizes. My boyfriend got a burger and fries and it might be one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. SO yummy! Homemade Ranch for dipping the fries in! Does not have a good selection. If you like American home cooking you may like this place but it's very greasy. All items that might be halfway healthy are cooked with pork (which I don't eat) and they leave a very meager selection for heart conscious and healthy choice meals. Pleasant staff. When they brought out chicken fried steak instead of chicken fried chicken they immediately brought him the right thing in a to go box even though he said it was ok he just didn't want to be charged the upcharge since he didn't order the steak. They told me to sit anywhere. When the older waitress came she said I had to move because the back area was for only police officers. . They had 3 of them at one table . Nobody else but me and I was on the opposite side of them in an otherwise deserted area. She was rude about it. So I just left. I was a police officer years ago. Service was subpar. It was a Sunday sheet church so maybe that's why. Order was incorrect, they did offer to fix it. They never brought my son's breakfast and by the time we flagged someone down, it had been 30 minutes (yes we went to the front also to ask for assistance) by that time my toddler was over it.
