From the moment I sat down, she was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. She checked in often without hovering, made sure everything came out just right, and somehow balanced friendliness with professionalism perfectly. It's rare to meet someone who not only does their job well but clearly enjoys making people's day a little better. Christina set the bar high for what good service should feel like. She's the gold standard. Food: 5/5 I'll be honest: as someone with an undying love for Waffle House, I walked in with a little skepticism. My first Huddle House experience was back in college, and I distinctly remember thinking, "Yeah, this is fine, but Waffle House still wins." Fast forward to now, I was completely surprised. The food was hot, flavorful, and comforting in that Southern diner kind of way. It had that "made with care" feel that's missing in a lot of chain spots. Jalapeño poppers are good... eggs came out wrong... 5 of us and 2 got food but waited on other 3... then other food came out without the fries... had to wait longer for those. I do not recommend the Buffalo shrimp and chicken strips... soggy and not good at all. Spicy chicken sandwich also not good. Sweet tea tasted old. We are regulars here. I'm pretty honest in my reviews, so I'll get the negative out of the way, first. Service is hit or miss. There are a few ladies who are absolutely amazing, a few who are mediocre and a few who disappear without a trace until time to bring the ticket. When you walk in, you seat yourself and you never really know if you win or lose the lottery until the waitress walks up. And now for the positives. Don't let the fact that it is joined with a gas station deter you from stopping by. The food is extremely cheap and has the "home cooked" feel. They have never got my order wrong and trust me, I'm a picky one (eggs must be dry, bacon must be crispy!). The coffee is strong and plentiful (assuming you get a good waitress). If you go, try to get the older waitress with short gray/white hair and a spitfire attitude. She'll rib with you the whole time but she'll keep your coffee filled. The M.V.P. breakfast is the best bang for your buck - eggs cooked to preference, hashbrowns, grits or biscuits smothered in gravy, bacon or sausage, and a waffle. My daughter and I share the meal and usually still have waffle left over. They do have "regular" food but if you don't get the coffee at least, you're missing out. Overall, I love this place and we go every other Thursday morning without fail. There are a few waitresses that bring down the value of the place, but for the most part they get you the food on time and tasting great. read more

The one time my husband and I tried to eat here, the entire place was so dirty that we left without ordering. There wasn't a clean table anywhere. Many of the tables had what were obviously several other tables dirty dished stacked up on them. There was food on the floor that the waitresses were walking through like it was no big deal. The trash was overflowing. When I saw the waitress put down a bunch of dirty dishes, wipe her hands on her uniform, and then reach into the window to grab someone's plate of food, we decided to eat somewhere else. This is a seriously dive-y diner that's part of the truck stop. The food and service fluctuate wildly based on who happens to be on duty both cooking and as waitstaff. I avoid the place at all costs. This particular location seems to have issues with cleanliness. I buy gas at the gas station all the time so I see this place a lot. It's clean enough late at night when I'm on my way home from class, but that's about the only time I've seen it clean. My recommendation to the manager would be to fire a waitress and hire a bus boy. Make him responsible for bussing tables, handling the dirty dishes, taking out the trash, and mopping up the spilled food. read more

Near my business in the area for the day. Located at one of the two service stations just off I30 exit 87 West bound on the frontage road. Was greeted by the only server in the establishment as soon as I cracked the door open. Sat at the bar and had quick service. This is not quite a Waffle House, but it basically the same thing with menu choices and prices. Ordered 4 eggs soft, hash browns and bacon extra crispy...imagine that...it's came out with my 4 eggs soft as ordered because the guy making them knows how to do eggs! Probably the best thing about a place that does breakfast 23-7. read more

When we walked into this place every table that was not occupied was dirty. No one greeted us as we walked in. When my wife asked if we sit ourselves or wait to be seated, the waitress just says "we are short staff", haha, ok. This place is not that big and they have three waitress just standing behind the counter looking at people as they walked in. So after we clean one of the tables ourselves we sit there and wait for someone to take our order. The one waitress who is working who looked liked she was on meth never came to our table and bypassed us several times. As we got up to leave the rest of the waitresses looked over at us as if nothing was wrong. I wouldn't bother coming to this place unless you are a truck driver or a meth dealer. Our waitress had to have been on some serious drugs.... she was really rude, she was sitting next to me the whole time cussing and screaming to someone on the phone... mand I watched her pour bleach in the ice bin, get a cup of ice and serve it to a customer. The cook was not wearing a beard guard or a long sleeve shirt and this guy was like big foot hairy... anyway!.... my boyfriend and I both ordered the same thing... and we both had a ton of hair in our food, almost like he was shaving on top of our meal!! Then the other cook was sneezing (without covering his mouth) all over the grill. I asked the talk to the manager... told her all of my problems... she took $2.00 off of my bill!! That's it? I didn't even touch my food! Then to top it all off, I called corporate and explained the situation.... He just said "Oh i'm sorry that happened to you" when he should have at least offered to pay for my meal since it was covered in hair and I didn't even eat it!!!! DON'T EAT HERE. read more

The food was good. The service sucked. The waitress brought a chocolate milkshake in a tall glass with shake running all down the sides. It made a big chocolate puddle on the table. She took one swipe of the side of the glass with a napkin and asked if we were ready to order. I asked her if she could please clean this up. She indignantly said "I was going to clean it up before I left the table". Then she left the table without cleaning it up and waited on other people. Came back to take our order and still didn't clean it up! She never did clean it up so I had to do it myself. Unacceptable Heather! This was not good service and you know it. You would have gotten at least a $5 tip instead of what you got. I almost didn't leave anything. I won't be back. 8-21-17 After receiving a gift card for $10 from HH and some apologies, I went to the HH here in Abilene (Tye). The food was very good and the service was very good. The waitress was friendly and attentive and checked just enough to be helpful not annoying. I have written it's own review at its place. Good job of damage control HH! Don't go here if you're in a hurry, or on a time schedule in general. Kitchen was behind and rushed out the food. The food was decent, but for the price you might as well stop at McDonald's and hit the dollar menu and get the same quality. Not a bad place, but keep on rolling if you see it. read more

I love this place! Denny's and IHOP has nothing on this! I am a big fan of Waffle House but they don't serve French toast for breakfast. Huddle house does AND has a great mix of southern favorites that taste fabulous! It is a shame there isn't one closer to my house :-( read more

Huddle House in Caddo Mills isn't open 24 hours.. Sunday-Thursday closes at 10pm and Friday and Saturday closes at 11pm..

OMG!!! Hands down the best smothered biscuits around! I eat here every time I pass through the town. The staff are extremely nice, always the faces when I go in, makes me feel at home sort of speak. I love this diner and will continue to visit every chance I get. read more

My husband and I ate here at this location food was good I thought until .....I went to check out the register btw the register is located at the back of the room where the cook line is! As I was giving my card to the waitress I saw cockroaches coming from under the register and crawling around...... I called as I was still eating last friday, to inform customer service of how bad service and food was! she seemed very nice, but said someone would be in contact with me asap. it has now been four days and I have yet to hear a word from them. Horrible service! she rarely came to see if wee needed coffee. everything took forever to get to the table AND THEY MICROWAVED OUR WAFFLES TWICE!!!! our breakfast came out in three trips! HORRIBLE!
