Delicious all you can eat catfish and shrimp for $20 a person on Friday and Saturday nights. The crawfish etouffee pies were amazing as was the cherry cobbler and ice cream. This is a little country place right off I-20, so don't expect fancy! Be hungry! The food is really good! The fried catfish, shrimp, and two kinds of hush puppies were very fresh and hot. I also tried one of the crawfish pies, and it was delicious. The cold boiled shrimp is a nice alternative to the fried stuff. Desserts were all homemade and there's a soft serve ice cream machine to top them off. Waitresses kept our drinks filled and the empty plates cleared. New place for us to try. Don't think we'll be going back. The best part of the meal was the service. These girls really hustled. All the fried foods, catfish, shrimp, okra, hush puppies were all fried to long so they were hard. The boiled shrimp was excellent. The crab salad, beans and potato salad were great. On entering, you are required to pay in advance which is no big deal. Room is set up as a country kitchen, homie feel. Plates were styrofoam and were hard to separate. You could tell customers were local and known. Food was kept fresh during our visit, just wish they could do more for the boiled shrimp. It was served cold with no flavor. Horseradish was available if you asked for it. Filets were good and hot as well as the whole fish. Yeast rolls were great and warm. You had a choice of 4 deserts, all warm. Ham sandwich was great, nothing fancy just bread, cheese , ham & mayo. You have to let the ham speak for itself. It's very good. Buttermilk pie was fantastic, the crust balanced the sweetness perfectly. The turnovers especially the cherry made my wife and daughter crazy. I bought some of their soft jerky($20) it is average at best. Ill try the original next time. The staff was friendly and the shop itself is small and welcoming. First time at this location but I wasn't impressed. Just stopped in for a simple fresh sandwich. We got a turkey, a ham and a sausage sandwich. Everything was sliced to order so had high hopes. They have condiments for you to make your sandwich your way. Mayo mustard , sweet relish, ketchup, pickles, sliced onions and jalapeños. So we added everything to our liking and headed out. The Oklahoma location when I visited before Covid had a bar with multiple pickled items that were homemade and delicious. This location didn't have this. The sandwich were lackluster they were fresh but not much flavor in the meats. read more

We went to the buffet The Red Barn has on Friday and Saturday evenings. There was ample food and most was hot but just okay. I know this sounds funny but the fish was too fishy tasting and I love good catfish, which this was not. The desserts were not good at all. We won't be returning. read more

I've seen the signs for Robertson's REAL Beef Jerky along I-20 dozens and dozens of times when trekking my to/from Louisiana and finally was hungry enough on my way home to stop and grab a sammich. Pulling up past the old school gas station pumps (numeric wheels? Haven't seen those in a decade) into the dirt parking lot took me back to my formative years out in the sticks. Grab a Coke out of the cooler, mosey up to the counter, and order a sandwich. The most expensive sandwich is $3.99. My $2.99 sandwich had about a half pound of DELICIOUS ham and a slice of swiss cheese. I also grabbed a homemade cherry turnover, which was awesome. It was like a Hostess Pie on 'roids. I ate my sandwich outside on a picnic table listening to the hum of traffic passing by on I-20 and enjoyed the simple taste of a well made ham sandwich. Good times. read more

Of the 3 Robertson's I've been to, this one is the best. It is the largest and has the best selection. This is a must stop if you ever get stuck driving between Dallas and Houston. Try both the beef jerkey and the turkey jerkey. Both are excellent. They also have various sandwiches which will help your hunger while you do the long drive. The sandwiches are around $4. read more

We have eldery parents at home so we usually get to go orders. Everything is good here... Fried & homemade pies, smoked ham, turkey, and bacon, beef jerky, etc. Sometimes when we are craving BBQ we stop and get sandwiches and take them home. All their food is great. He got the potato salad with the hamburger which he said is the best he's ever had. I thought the same thing about the onion rings!
