Today I picked up my gender reveal cake from a different bakery. We do gluten free- loosely for my kids so that's what I got- had to drive a ways too. When I picked it up, it did not look like my inspiration pictures. There were purple flowers on the sides with pink one (no purple in the inspiration pic), no pearls, no vintage lattice work-just pipped the flowers on the sides with green stems (no stems in the pic) and the top writing. I was disappointed. I asked them to include blue flowers to balance out that it felt a little too girly, and they went back and added them which made it look better. I am not sure if the inspo pics got lost in the shuffle or if too much creative lee-way was taken but either way, I felt a little let down but was not going to let it ruin my day. However, on the drive home I still felt like it was pretty, but just not what I had in mind. I decided to call Bittersweet which is local to us and ask if they could add a few elements like the lattice and pearls. Faith was so kind on the phone and told me to bring it in being also clear that they aren't gluten free. I understood, but since we don't have true allergies I told her I was comfortable with them fixing it. It would not medically harm anyone if there was cross contamination. When I got there I showed her the original picture and sent it to her personal phone. Later I went to pick it up after taking my little to lunch, it came out it and was FANTASTIC! They added all the elements it was missing that I wanted and loved. It still doesn't exactly match my pictures but it looks SO cute now and I am very very happy! When I went to pay, she told me to just go enjoy my cake and that they were happy to help. THIS is how you win business, friends!! ANYTIME, I am ordering goodies, back to school treats for teachers, holiday yummies or cakes that aren't for my GF kids, I will be getting them from Bittersweet!!!! Thank you, Faith!!! read more

I'm so sad that I don't live here because the cupcakes here are to die for! Definitely the best cupcakes I ever had on my life. They had so many unique flavors but I was recommended the Brown Sugar Pineapple. It was so moist and flavorful and note that I had this cupcake hours after I got it and it was STILL super delicious. I was looking for a local bakery that could supply the treats for a baby shower I was throwing. I've driven by this re-purposed gas station at least 30 times and never realized what it was inside. Thankfully Yelp led me to this bakery and their web page where I was easily able to place my order online for the goodies that I wished for (mini cupcakes in 3 flavors!) with my pickup date. On pick-up day my cupcakes were ready at the expected time. This bakery is ADORABLE and they had a display case full of ready to go cupcakes and other items like brownies and cookies that I would love to come back and sample sometime. None of the mini cupcakes were left after the shower, so I will take that that they were really delicious! I'll definitely use this bakery the next time I have a special occasion. read more

We got a beautiful cake and two dozen cupcakes for a graduation party and we were blown away by both the look and the taste. Everything looked beautiful but so often cakes that are gorgeous to look at are not as flavorful as you would like. There was just the mix amount of creamy buttercream and creative flavors to make the cake a delicious end to our great menu. I am still regretting not getting a second piece! Madison, behind the counter, was cheerful and very helpful. The two ladies doing the baking in the kitchen for professional and it turned out masterful edible art.
