Their croissants" used for their cold sandwiches are of the Walmart plastic box variety, processed packaged ham also from Walmart, Sargento cheese -Walmart again and to be honest, anybody can make the same exact sandwiches better and a lot cheaper at home. We didn't smell anything baking in there, so the name should be changed to Latham Fakery as it's apparently not a real bakery. Sorry but the truth hurts. Beautiful cozy and comfortable bakery and coffee shop with a wide variety of amazing fresh baked items. On my first visit I got coffee and German chocolate cake, which was excellent. Most recently I got their signature chicken salad on a croissant - it was delicious! A perfect blend of savory and sweet, and the arugula wasn't bitter or too overpowering. I opted to try the German potato salad, which is a great choice for those who like chunky style potatoes with tangy flavors. I also got a nut brownie; it was good, and definitely a generous portion - but a little overly sweet for my personal preference. Prices are very reasonable! The staff are sweet and very quick at filling orders. Latham Bakery is one of my favorite stops in Canton! I was excited to hear there is a location in Kaufman, a little closer to home. read more

They do have a neat, cheap refill drink tumbler if you're a local. I only give 4 stars because I feel like I am bothering the front counter staff anytime I come in. Over all it is good. Usually only come for a coffee and breakfast baked good or sandwhich. But had lunch menu sandwich last time it was really good. I will say Forney location is faster and has more staff. Canton seem to always have just one person upfront when I have come. read more

I can't explain it but their iced coffee is amazing. I be had it twice with two different creams (half & half the first time, soy milk the second) and both times it was just so yummy. Also their sandwiches are delicious and fresh, tasted just as good the next day for breakfast. read more

I had the spinach quiche and a half a Cobb salad with strawberry cake. Did not care for the quiche. Was way too much bread, not much egg or cheese. The Cobb was a bit better than fair and the cake tasted like it was from a mix although it was gorgeous! I have heard the chicken salad is scrumptious.
