Went on a Tuesday at around noon. Had about a 30min wait for a table for 7. That was a first. There were empty tables, but the hostess said she couldn't put tables together. Also a first. Our group goes here at least once a month. We all got a variety of food: First the salad and i added smoked chicken. I only ate half and brought the rest home. About 8hrs later, craving the rest of it. The salad was AS FRESH as when i had it at the restaurant. Very good, crisp and visual salad. Well done. We also as a group had the chips and salsa with queso. The queso is very loose but tasted well. It was great mixed with the salsa. Chips were crisp and fresh. We have ordered the smoked deviled eggs, since they have been an option. This time thought, the brisket slice was dry, the panko fried egg tasted either old, like it had been sitting for a while after being deep fried or it was fried in old oil. This was a first, as they have always been delicious. Luckily, the candied jalapeno on top was still delicious. A burger was shared by one couple- no complaints. The birria (sp?) tacos were ordered by another two people. A couple other sandwiches were ordered as well. All were delicious. Then the onion rings: ORDER these every time. They are always light and crisp and delicious. Drink service was quite slower than what our group is used to. When we go, we are always there at least a few hours, leave great tips and usually drink quite a bit. This was the first time we were told that the mixed drinks are pre-made. One person ordered an old fashion. The hostess said they were out of marchino cherries and orange twist, which kinda MAKES that drink. The drink was extremely strong, which can be a plus, but actually deterred from the experience of enjoying an old fashion. Yes, we always have a DD. This time the most anyone person got was three beers, so that is what i meant by slow drink service. It's usually a min of 5. We are retired, so don't judge. Still an good place, hopefully just a one off.

We were headed to the Canton Flea market and wanted lunch before scouring the deals. This place popped up as well rated, and very close to the market. The hostess (and also our server) was Diamond, what a sweetie!! - she was so friendly and steered us towards her menu favorites. I got the Canton sandwich on her recommendation - but subbed the regular sausage (rather than the habanero). The Canton consists of brisket and sausage on a bun. The bun was toasted - and holy hell - that slight crisp of the bun was the perfect compliment to the moist and chewy meat. A GREAT sandwich!. And thankfully the BBQ sauce was served on the side - it was not needed. We subbed onion rings rather than fries, and I gotta say that onion rings are far more popular on menus in Texas than they are in California, and I am putting that factoid on my list of "positive attributes" for Texas! We also got the elote corn cup and a couple of tacos. All of this was to split. Everything was great, but I would come back for that sandwich. The manager came through the dining room making sure everyone was happy.

Really enjoyed today's lunch at the Brew & Q! The bandit, chopped beef sandwich was the best barbecue sandwich I've ever had. Tender, flavorful and I did not add a drop of barbecue sauce to it, did not need to. Staying here at the KOA and when we leave, we're gonna get some sandwiches to take home with us! Seriously, worth a try and the Parmesan fries are delicious.

First time here and the food was good. No wait time, service was fast. The stuffed jalapeños were very tasty and delicious. Everything in general was very tasty.

This little joint is definitely worth a visit and it's part of the Silver Spur RV Resort. I can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu. The service was great and the food was scrumptious! They have an outdoor patio and I believe they have live music on the weekends. Here is what we ordered: Cowboy Stuffers-good sized jalapeños stuffed with their brisket and cream cheese then wrapped in smoked bacon. Holy S Batman...these were so good and the smoke in the bacon was spot on. Their ranch is good too! This was my favorite. Corn In a Cup-add the brisket and you won't be disappointed! The Twister-sandwich with their smoked turkey, fixins' and chipotle aioli served on Texas toast. The turkey was juicy! My only complaint is wishing I could taste more of the aioli. The Parmesan fries are basic, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Brisket Quesabirria Tacos-you're going to want to try these! It's not the traditional birria tacos but the flavors are amazing and the consommé is divine! They are not served with sides but can order a la carte. All in all, each bite I took had all of the yummy smoky flavors you'd expect. Seriously can't wait to go back.

I always make sure to stop in here when I'm in town! These bacon wrapped brisket jalapeños are to die for! Good size jalapeños that aren't too spicy, seeds removed. Stuffed full with brisket. Their beers on tap are always good and refreshing as well. I always go for the Hefeweizen, the Cream Ale and the Peaches one. The staff are always accommodating and friendly. Also has a dog friendly patio. Come here! You won't be disappointed.

Needs some work on order accuracy and brisket. Appetizers: - Cornbread Muffins were a little burned (shown in photo), but the Beans were GREAT! Drinks: A variety of beers and wine. No liquor as this is a dry County. (See photos) Entrees: - Two meat platter (shown in photo). I ordered three meats, but only received two. Sadly, the beef brisket was dry and over-cooked. Yet, the sausage, Fried Green Beans, and Fried Okra were good! Average. - One meat platter with Hot Links, Coke Slaw, and Creamed Corn. The Hot Links were GREAT, the Cole Slaw was okay, but the Creamed Corn was watery--not made with cream. Average. Service: Prompt and friendly. Ambiance: Rustic cabin with Texas decor. Plenty of seating and comfort. Overall: We really wanted to give this small, off-the-beaten path restaurant a chance, and we are not sorry. Still, if they could improve a few key items, we may be willing to give them another chance.

    Do they serve Steaks?

They do but it's only a ribeye or a sirloin. However, I did not have steak when I ate there.

When we pulled up I was pleased to find a rustic building with both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is covered which is nice because it was actually raining that day. There was a large somewhat rowdy group sitting outside as we walked in, so we opted to sit indoors in the AC. It wasn't very crowded and there were plenty of open tables. You order at a counter, and a very polite young man took our orders and said it would be brought out to the table. While we were waiting a very friendly gentleman stopped by the table to welcome us in and see if we needed anything while waiting for our drinks. I was struck by how friendly the staff was and it definitely made a great first impression. I've been pleasantly surprised to find that BBQ places usually have options for vegetarians because of all the delicious sides (which is my favorite part anyway). I was very happy to enjoy a baked potato, mac and cheese, cole slaw etc as my family enjoyed the typical bbq fare. We were given I think one cup of bbq sauce with our plate but were able to get more when we asked the staff. As we were eating, Moma T herself came out and introduced herself, and just like everyone else we met she is one of the nicest people I've met. So super welcoming and even offered us a slice of complimentary cheesecake. It was super generous but we ended up going up to order and pay for two slices of cheesecake. It was very decadent, maybe a little too sweet for me but they had a ton of different flavors that all looked delicious. The customer service definitely earned the 5 stars for me on this one, I would visit again if I was ever back in town.

Good enough? But,read on…read more Bottom line, they have problems. I've struggled for a few days with writing this review but, woke up this morning clear headed about it. It's a long story how I got here today but,at 2 pm and having not eaten in the last twenty hours,I needed a place to eat. I am always, repeat always open for bbq and this place appeared and I made my decision. I was going in no matter but, decided to glance at the average Yelp rating as I walked. The place was what I expected. A newer version of a typical BBQ place of a bygone era. The first thing that jumped out at me was nothing in the single restroom to dry my hands on...no paper towels, blower, nada! I ordered from a well meaning counter person who informed me I could pay her but he,motioning towards the back, would cut the meat. I told her what 2 sides I wanted while he cut my 3 meat order. In a few minutes I'd paid, left a tip via the point of sale request ( they've even invaded small town Texas) took my food and sat down. It looked pretty good but didn't feel like it should be almost $30. I took a bit of rib and it was delicious. I thought, things are looking up. I took a bit of sausage. Average but good. Then I pulled the ribs off the top of the brisket revealing an,oh no. I could tell it had been sitting in the warming oven too long. Maybe even yesterday's brisket. A quick taste and pull confirmed this was overcooked and old . So,I did something I never do, took my plate back up to the counter. By the way,I'm a big proponent of not accepting bad food. It's expensive to eat out anywhere and I believe you should only pay for decent food. He looked at it and I ask" would you like to try again on the brisket"? He said, " I'll bring you some more". The counter girl added,I'll bring you a boat out. A few minutes later she arrived with three slices. After examination I determined that's as good as it gets, while reluctantly taking a confirmation bite. My biggest Beef is,he really tried to and I guess in fact did pass off an inferior product to me. A wise business decision would have been to comp my entire meal. I repeat do not set yourself up for disappointment by eating here.
