Went on a Tuesday at around noon. Had about a 30min wait for a table for 7. That was a first. There were empty tables, but the hostess said she couldn't put tables together. Also a first. Our group goes here at least once a month. We all got a variety of food: First the salad and i added smoked chicken. I only ate half and brought the rest home. About 8hrs later, craving the rest of it. The salad was AS FRESH as when i had it at the restaurant. Very good, crisp and visual salad. Well done. We also as a group had the chips and salsa with queso. The queso is very loose but tasted well. It was great mixed with the salsa. Chips were crisp and fresh. We have ordered the smoked deviled eggs, since they have been an option. This time thought, the brisket slice was dry, the panko fried egg tasted either old, like it had been sitting for a while after being deep fried or it was fried in old oil. This was a first, as they have always been delicious. Luckily, the candied jalapeno on top was still delicious. A burger was shared by one couple- no complaints. The birria (sp?) tacos were ordered by another two people. A couple other sandwiches were ordered as well. All were delicious. Then the onion rings: ORDER these every time. They are always light and crisp and delicious. Drink service was quite slower than what our group is used to. When we go, we are always there at least a few hours, leave great tips and usually drink quite a bit. This was the first time we were told that the mixed drinks are pre-made. One person ordered an old fashion. The hostess said they were out of marchino cherries and orange twist, which kinda MAKES that drink. The drink was extremely strong, which can be a plus, but actually deterred from the experience of enjoying an old fashion. Yes, we always have a DD. This time the most anyone person got was three beers, so that is what i meant by slow drink service. It's usually a min of 5. We are retired, so don't judge. We were headed to the Canton Flea market and wanted lunch before scouring the deals. This place popped up as well rated, and very close to the market. The hostess (and also our server) was Diamond, what a sweetie!! - she was so friendly and steered us towards her menu favorites. I got the Canton sandwich on her recommendation - but subbed the regular sausage (rather than the habanero). The Canton consists of brisket and sausage on a bun. The bun was toasted - and holy hell - that slight crisp of the bun was the perfect compliment to the moist and chewy meat. A GREAT sandwich!. And thankfully the BBQ sauce was served on the side - it was not needed. We subbed onion rings rather than fries, and I gotta say that onion rings are far more popular on menus in Texas than they are in California, and I am putting that factoid on my list of "positive attributes" for Texas! We also got the elote corn cup and a couple of tacos. All of this was to split. Everything was great, but I would come back for that sandwich. First time customers a few days ago. I had the pulled pork quesadillas. My husband had the 3 meat dinner. Excellent! Meat portions on the dinner were similar to most BBQ places; could be better! Food tasted good- service on the other hand.... One member of our party is deathly allergic to gluten and when asked about gluten free options, the selection is limited (which is to be expected, most places are.) We were told meat and salad were our options, so that is what was ordered. HOWEVER, when the salad arrived, it was covered in croutons.... Not gluten free. When the owner or manager came to check in on our table we informed her that regular croutons on a salad that's considered gluten free, is in fact not a gluten free option. The only response we got was "Kay." No apologies, no concern, no care. 100% disappointed and pretty unwilling to return after the disregard of what could've been a very dangerous situation. read more

This little joint is definitely worth a visit and it's part of the Silver Spur RV Resort. I can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu. The service was great and the food was scrumptious! They have an outdoor patio and I believe they have live music on the weekends. Here is what we ordered: Cowboy Stuffers-good sized jalapeños stuffed with their brisket and cream cheese then wrapped in smoked bacon. Holy S Batman...these were so good and the smoke in the bacon was spot on. Their ranch is good too! This was my favorite. Corn In a Cup-add the brisket and you won't be disappointed! The Twister-sandwich with their smoked turkey, fixins' and chipotle aioli served on Texas toast. The turkey was juicy! My only complaint is wishing I could taste more of the aioli. The Parmesan fries are basic, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Brisket Quesabirria Tacos-you're going to want to try these! It's not the traditional birria tacos but the flavors are amazing and the consommé is divine! They are not served with sides but can order a la carte. I always make sure to stop in here when I'm in town! These bacon wrapped brisket jalapeños are to die for! Good size jalapeños that aren't too spicy, seeds removed. Stuffed full with brisket. First time visit. Went with family members (8 total). Service was good and attentive. Overall the taste / quality of the food was very good. Among us we had ribs, sliced brisket, tacos, mac and cheese, smoked sausage, smoked turkey and smoked chicken breast. Had chips and salsa along with the best deep fried deviled eggs any of us have ever eaten for appetizers. Had regular fries which were tasty as well. Coleslaw was average at best. Only giving four stars for two reasons: (1) This isn't a cheap place to eat and based on prices the portions of meat received were disappointing. On a $19 two meat plate I got two slices of brisket along with less than a full link of smoked sausage. My wife had two slices of smoked turkey breast along with less than half of a smoked chicken breast. Disappointing to say the least. (2) Not a fan of their handheld checkout devices or their "payment system." Had issues with splitting the check resulting in one family member having to pick up the majority of the tab once we paid for our two meals. Also don't like to have a "recommend tip" screen shown when the device is given to you. We tip well based on service and don't appreciate having that put in front of us. We hope to go back at some point but will place INDIVIDUAL ORDERS to ensure payout is much simpler. read more

Pretty good little restaurant located in - of all things - a KOA RV camp. The restaurant is super cute, lots of care put into the decoration and the management. Color us more than impressed. For pet owners, dogs are welcome (if well behaved) to join you outside on the patio. Since we went during COVID days, I'll add a little note about their precautions. Staff are all properly masked, tables are spread apart and lots of cute signs encourage you to wash hands. Masks are required inside, except when you're at the table. All in all, we felt very safe and that they did everything right. They have an in house brewery. We ordered a flight to try everything. Stand outs: The peach wheat, cream ale and the New England IPA. None of their heavier beers were in stock while we were there - I don't know if they were just out or if they aren't offered during hot summer days. We sampled several things off the menu: Brisket tacos and stuffed jalapeños from the appetizer menu. Both were all-stars. We ordered the brisket tacos without cheese and that was a great decision. For mains we ordered Cowgirl tacos (smoked chicken tacos in lettuce wraps), a two meat platter (jalapeño sausage, brisket, Mac & cheese and fried okra) and a burger. All of the main dishes were good, but in our opinion a little salty. None of us cooks with a lot of salt at home - adding salt to taste afterwards - so that could have been the issue. While we weren't disappointed with our main dishes, they didn't have the wow factor of our appetizers. If we were staying here at the KOA, we'd happily eat a meal or two here. If we are passing through the area, we'd happily stop in for beer and a meal from the appetizer menu. This is a relatively new restaurant, so you get the sense they are still working some things out. In our opinion, it has a bright future even though as a BBQ joint it doesn't rank high on our list of favorite places. "Hidden gem" comes to mind, although it's not really hidden. It's just that for a city dweller like me, it's way out in Canton, about 65 miles east of Downtown Dallas. That said, if your into trailer or RV camping, you might consider spending a weekend at the KOA RV resort where this place is located. Bring your fishing pole. And if you don't have a camper, they have facilities for rent. Now on to this place in particular. It's I quite nice. A sparkling clean, new and casual sit down restaurant with its own brewery. I did take-out due to time constraints, but I would love to do a sit down meal here. Service was friendly, helpful, and they even let me taste the "Mexican Stout" that was on tap. Delicious! I will for sure be back! I had the special of the day- a kicked up cooked to order party melt with jalapeños, and a side of truffle fries. Also very delicious. Update 7/17/2020. Place is a bit busier today . I did dine-in so I was served the beans and cornbread. Very tasty! Still really good service (Dezzy). I ordered a sliced brisket sandwich. It is served on a brioche bun and is piled high with thick slabs of beef and a generous layer of pickles. The Beef was not as tender as what I am accustomed to these days. A bit dry, very lean, not really hot. If I order this again, I would order it with the chopped beef. Or maybe a different sandwich... pulled pork, or chicken or ??? Sadly I gotta drop a star because they are a BBQ place. It's in the name. I still recommend this place. I subbed out the fries/chips for a side salad. It was good. Not just lettuce. I would order that again. Update 7/22/2020: I had THE LONESTAR: "Smoked cheddar, pepper jack, smoked shredded brisket, and grilled onions all served on Texas toast." It was absolutely delicious, and the meat was tender and flavorful. It actually had small onion rings (breaded) instead of grilled onions. I could have used a few less of those, but since there were so many I just picked them off and ate them like an additional side. I subbed greens for fries. They were hot and delicious. Just a tad salty. Didn't stop me from finishing them off. Service from Alexis was on the money. Very friendly, helpful. I'm going to bump this back up to 5 stars. We were looking for somewhere to grab a bite to eat after shopping the trade days and happened to stumble across this place on Yelp. I gave them 5 stars because as soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated promptly, our waiter was very attentive, the food was wonderful, and you can't beat the price we paid for it. We had Cowboy Stuffers(brisket and cream cheese stuffed jalapeño peppers with homemade ranch), the Six Shooter Pickle Spears were crispy perfection, brisket with the burnt ends as requested and the ribs. Sides were Mac and cheese, okra, parm fries and brisket chili. All on point. However, dessert was a game changer. On Tuesday, April 25, 2023 around approximately 5 PM, we arrived to a crowded parking lot as it was their reopening due to a kitchen fire that partially burned down. The once visible kitchen was now boarded up and a bar was added, but still could not serve mixed drinks (the waitress was not sure if they could or not and the place had been open since lunch). The hostess was kind and sat us down at a booth, but he did not supply us with eating utensils. Our server was an extremely polite and very young girl who did not provide her name but took our orders, however, still fell to notice that we did not have any eating utensils (sigh). Our drinks were brought out quickly, but it was 15 minutes after this the waitress came to us and said that our order was messed-up in the kitchen but would be out soon. She never came back (but she would look and glance away so go figure). 30 minutes total has passed, then 45 minutes. The manager finally decided to check on us after he had been spending all this time talking to someone in the corner. He asked if we had been waited and we said yes, but have not received our food (guess he did not see the drinking glasses that would tell him this). He profusely apologized and would get our food out ASAP. He even gave us a free beer on the house. A hour and 15 minutes passed by. We got up and left with no plans to go back anytime soon. Shame, it's a cute place. In the past the food was ok, but not spectacular. Just nice to go to and get away for a bit. read more

I travel I-20 from Fort Worth to areas east and used to looked forward to stopping at Q & Brew for good beer and good food. Stopped today with great anticipation and was VERY disappointed. The beer is still good, that's a positive. However, they used to give complimentary skillet cornbread and pinto beans, which were excellent and a major draw. Management decided to no longer give them complimentary, which I understand could be a cost saving necessity. But, in their infinite wisdom, they decided to completely remove them from the menu. These items are no longer available even for purchase! What self respecting Texas bbq place doesn't offer pinto beans? Wait staff is still friendly and did their best to satisfy us. BBQ meat is decent but not good enough for me to go out of my way to stop. May have to scour Yelp to find my next best place to stop on my trips. read more
