This was our first visit since the new owners took over and we really regret having waited this long! After sitting ourselves we were promptly greeted by a young lady who welcomed us and took our drink order. I decided to go with the two meat plate consisting of sliced brisket and sausage with potato salad and spicy beans. Diana went with her standard rib plate, also with potato salad and spicy beans. It was just a matter of a few minutes before our server returned with our order. My brisket was tender and moist with a light hint of smoke and the sausage was juicy and tasty. D's ribs had a little more smoke and were fall off the bone and tender and juicy as well. The BBQ sauce was flavorful without being bitter or sickly sweet. The sides were tasty as well. We both were very happy with our meals and had a good amount of meat, especially for the price which is way below your standard price for BBQ. I really wanted to love this place. We went two weeks after they opened. They had a line cafeteria style at this time. Our group ordered the moist brisket, the lean brisket, and the baked potato with chopped brisket. The flavor was bland for all of the brisket selections ordered. The moist brisket was tender, the lean and chopped were tough. The fried pickles were brought to our table at the end if our meal. They were grease soaked and on the verge of being burnt. The original owners had an outstanding salad bar. We were now charged for a side salad with iceberg lettuce, few toppings and minimal dressing choices. Unfortunately, we will not be back. read more

Stopped at 3:00 pm and only a couple of people inside.. the servers at the buffet are as nice as can be, and they said food is all homemade. Cabbage was good but a little bit too much pepper for me...Potato salad was mustard variety... the peach dessert was pretty good, lots of cinnamon... the pork barbecue was dry and not much flavor, sauce was watery... drinks come with lunches.. the potatoes were very good... I would like to go back and try the ribs and beef and sausage.... They have a good selection. Cost was $24 for two of us for lunch, which I thought was a bit expensive for lunch, but I am not from Texas , so this may be the going rate. read more

Wow! The moistest ribs I ever had! Not coated with a seasoning crust as so many are. Their "poor boy " sandwich is loaded with ham, sausage & brisket on hoagie bun. The sauce is perfect- not too thick yet with a bit of tang. This place is incredible & we'll definitely be back. read more
