First trip to Texas and first time to Slaughter's. Hands down the best BBQ I have ever had. We tried a bit of everything. My son had the Apricot Glazed Pork Chop and we did t even know a pork chop could taste like that. The sides are also amazing! Mac-n-Cheese , Pea Salad and Beans were amazing. You can't leave without a Banana Pudding, made daily. Best thing ever. The owner and staff are so kind. Can't wait to go back. Get there early, they sell out!.

Had such a great experience at Slaughter's BBQ in Sulphur Springs, TX! The brisket was incredibly moist and full of smoky flavor--just the way good Texas BBQ should be. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp, and the loaded potato salad was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. Everything tasted homemade and satisfying. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

"We came for lunch, but left with a PhD in boudinology." TL;DR: Slaughter's BBQ in Sulphur Springs knows how to put meat on a tray and a smile on your face. Brisket was barked-up brilliance, ribs were sweet-glazed sorcery, and that brisket boudin? That was smoked poetry in a casing. Quick service, friendly folks, and zero sides because legends eat lean and fast when they're chasing four joints in a day. Stop two on our East Texas meat-a-palooza was Slaughter's BBQ. After Big D and I rolled out of our first joint with grease-stained grins and meat sweats in progress, we cruised into Sulphur Springs and hit the brakes right in front of BBQ greatness. The name might be Slaughter's, but the only thing getting hurt here was my self-control. We stepped up to the counter like cowboys walking into a saloon with serious purpose. 11:30 AM. A short line. No sides. Just meat. We ordered brisket, pork ribs, and their house brisket boudin. It was unspoken meat magic. That brisket? Barked to perfection with a smoke ring that looked like it had been kissed by the East Texas sun. Juicy, peppery, and sliced like a dream. The ribs were lacquered with a sweet-savory glaze that grabbed my taste buds by the collar and said, "You're staying right here." Tender with a light tug, no mushy mess. Just right. But the boudin. Good heavens. That brisket boudin hit different. Juicy, spicy, and loaded with flavor so rich I almost Venmo'd it rent money. It was a sleeper hit that nearly stole the whole show. The tray was stacked like a minimalist meat sculpture: no mac, no slaw, no distractions. Just pickles, onions, and bread for structure. My side dish queen would've raised an eyebrow at the lack of sides, but even she would've bowed down to that boudin. I might've heard her say, "Okay, that's worth skipping the corn casserole for." High praise. The staff was warm, the wood was rustic, and the BBQ was bold. The Texas Monthly Top 50 banner was flapping proudly. Stamp count: 19 down, 31 to go. Next stop: back in the truck, more brisket to chase, and more boudin dreams to ponder. My cholesterol called and said, "Sean, what's the plan here?" I said, "Survival. Barely." Final Dad Line: If this BBQ joint were any better, it'd be required by law to come with a nap and a non-disclosure agreement.

One of the best barbecue places without doubt! I've always come across amazing barbecue restaurants in the small towns of Texas. Slaughter's used to be a food truck and have recently moved into this new place. The ambience is perfect with indoor and outdoor seating options. Friendly service with a smile. The owner was behind the counter which speaks to the quality of food and service. You place the order, pay and pick up your tray. They offered a free beer for each order too, which was a cool deal. Now for the food - the brisket was amazing. The grits are legit. My most favorite was the Jalapeño salad. The barbecue sauce was good but I highly recommend their bbq mustard sauce. Reasonably priced for some real good food. Will I return? : For sure!

First visit to the new location. Now under roof and nicely done interior. The food items seem expanded so a lot of choices. We tried the brisket and Texas Tornadoes (Twinkies). Always great as are the sides. Attached a pic of part of menu. Having Santa and Mrs Claus a nice touch. Service great and folks are very helpful and patient.

Everything was awesome! Highly recommended to all! I'm so full! Can't wait to come back!

Best BBQ and best restaurant in town. I got the chopped brisket, ribs, brussel sprouts, and charro beans. The food was 10/10 like always!

4.5 stars- helpful staff, laid back atmosphere, and bbq worth the honorable mention in Texas Monthly's 2021 top BBQ issue. Everything was smoked to perfection, not too much smoke though, just enough. The sides were the perfect compliment. The shining star of the sides was definitely the Mac and cheese. We were thankful to have grabbed the last of it. Highly recommend this BBQ joint. No doubt it will eventually rank in Texas Monthly's top 50 soon!

Smoked turkey - divine, those roasted brussel sprouts with bacon - lip-smacking good, loaded tater tot casserole- you won't regret this

Slaughter's absolutely lives up to the hype as a Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ joint! 2 guests in our party today. One went with the BBQ brisket plate (fork-tender like prime rib) with tater tot casserole and pinto beans, and the other order was smoked turkey (smoked to perfection), tater tot casserole, and roasted brussel sprouts with bacon. Oh. My. Goodness.... So good! Be sure to get the delicious potato bread, homemade pickles, both kinds of bbq sauce, the special sauce for the brussel sprouts, and the refreshing iced tea. Abigail and Junior fixed us up and were so friendly and fun. We also lucked into some really awesome live music (think George Strait). Indoor and outdoor dining. Great atmosphere.

2 meat plate (ribs and brisket)

Absolutely amazing. Highly recommend! Ribs were outstanding. Fell right off the bone. Loved the brussell sprouts and jalepeno slaw. Their barbecue sauce is amazing, but you don't even need it! Wish we lived closer!!!

Closed on a Friday at 1:30pm. "We're sold out for the day". What? Manage your inventory. Will head over to Bodacious, won't be back here.

The…read morebuilding is an old style gas station that has been transformed into a casual BBQ restaurant with plenty of parking. Easy in and easy out. Call-in "to-go" orders are welcome. My first visit to Sharon's BBQ and Grub House was on a Friday, at forty minutes past the hour of eleven in the morning. The restaurant was reasonably busy. I must have had the look of being lost on my first visit, but the staff quickly told me and my guest to seat ourselves and a waitress would assist us. The table we chose was in the front section against the wall with a nice window looking out onto the parking lot and onto Church Street. Unfortunately the table was unclean from the previous guest and littered with cracker crumbs. One of the staff quickly wiped the table down for us. Sharon's has a "special of the day" posted on the board along with a standard menu. On the day of my visit, the special was pulled pork tacos and that is what I selected, for $7.75. Not a bad price at all for BBQ. The plate was delivered quickly to the table and the food was warm. The pulled pork was tender and served on the small "street taco" style flour tortillas. There were three. On the plate was a bowl of course chopped white onions, and two-blend course shredded cheese and a small serving of BBQ sauce. I was offered sliced jalapeno peppers, I declined. This particular special also was also accompanied by a side of pinto beans (approx 1/3rd cup). The plates and bowls remind me of the kind that I used to eat from when I was in elementary school. The shredded pork was moist and tender and the tortillas were warm and fresh. The BBQ sauce was surprisingly sweet. The pinto beans were not remarkable. What makes Sharon's BBQ and Grub House a jewel is that it is on the northside of town, easy to get to (one does not have to traverse 18 traffic stop signs to get there), easy in and easy out, and they serve quickly. If you dine with Sharon's BBQ and Grub House, you will actually have time for lunch with time to spare. I will certainly eat at Sharon's BBQ and Grub House again. No regrets! Sharon's BBQ and Grub House accepts credit cards and is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10:20 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. https://www.facebook.com/Sharonsbbqandgrubhouse/
