Stopped by on a whim the other day. So glad we did. Both me and my man ordered the super stuffed potatoes. We opted to get everything on them and put brisket with sauce on top. We got a pint of coleslaw to add to our potatoes. The potatoes were $12/ea. We could of shared one! They were huge and generous with meat topping but they were so good we're still talking about it today..2 days later! Side note: would of left the bacon bits off, wish they had been real ones and not out of a jar. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, it seemed to be mostly locals stopping in for lunch when we were there. Would definitely stop there again if were ever headed that way. read more

We stopped here for lunch. The brisket and jalapeno pepper jack sausage were fantastic! We also loved the bbq beans, green beans, and mac and cheese -- all of the sides were flavorful and well-seasoned. My teens recommend the chocolate cake! read more

A new Family has purchased Texas Bar-B-Que Corral and is doing a fantastic job! I ordered the Two-Meat Plate, Brisket and Turkey, and it was Fantastic. Also LOVED the Potato Salad!!! Just pulled in here off the interstate without realizing it was a few minutes before closing... This family welcomed us in, didn't rush us, took time to explain the different types of BBQ meats and dishes. In the end between the four of us we tried the ham, turkey, beef brisket, ham sandwich and 'the local favorite' Loaded potato finally topped with the beef brisket BBQ! It was all delicious but our firm favorite was the local dish 'loaded baked potato with beef', that was exceptional. The restaurant itself has a rustic charm and incredibly clean, they have really outdone themselves. The only negative is that it is hard to find... Not sure what happened on the day that I visited but I was not too impressed. I've been wanting to stop in since I bought a vacation home out here. I came in on 06/21/2017 around 3:30pm which was probably most of the problem. It wouldn't be the first time I come into a restaurant after lunch but before dinner and the food was rough. Long story short, the pick'n were slim it appeared. The Brisket was dry and not tender, the BBQ Pork Ribs were dry and tough, and the Smoked Turkey was processed instead of the traditional turkey breast and in fact it wasn't even warmed through. I tasted everything and true story, I was so disappointed I left my tray on the table and walked out. I thought about asking if I could try something else, but I remembered the owner telling me when I asked him, "What seems to be the crowd favorite?" He replied, "It's all good and it wouldn't be sit'n up here if it wasn't good". I thought Mmm...Only thing I didn't try was the Polish Sausage. With my luck, that was probably the only thing that tasted good. I think I will drive a little extra and get better BBQ in Mt. Pleasant. read more

Being from Memphis Tennessee I can never pass up the opportunity to try another states bbq . Well here we are at the cotton belt bbq off I 30 in East Texas . The meats looked great and the sides were fresh I had the two meat plate with add on of sausage . Well the ribs and brisket were to die for and the sausage is very tasty I had the baked beans which were Texas style so it was not the sweet taste I expected being from Memphis Tennessee. The carrots were fresh and crispy but the main star was the meats I must admit they really have it figured out . I'll definitely be sure to mark this spot when I'm in the area . read more

The BBQ was OK. BBQ sauce was regular grocery store type. Sides from Cisco. Nothing special. We had planned to eat there but decided not to when we walked in and it was like a smokey bar. My wife and I ate here we both had the rib plate with potato salad and coleslaw. The ribs were O.K. ( mine are better) the potato salad and coleslaw were both oversaturated with vinegar. to make it short the food was horrible and definitely not worth the time or money. read more

This is a nice little place on the I-30 access road. The nonsmoking dining room is nicely decorated, and it has a rustic look. The meat was tender and juicy and they were not stingy with the portions at all. The sauce was the only part we didn't like very much, but we still really enjoyed the restaurant and will be back. read more
