Heard this place was good and had been featured on TV or something?? So expected great things here and they certainly delivered. Nestled in the middle of a cute little downtown street. Place is on the small side, but we came for late lunch so was not that busy. We sat right down at the bar top. Got great service. Got the double cheeseburger and fries. Did not expect the burger to be as big as it was but it was so freaking good I had no problem devouring the entire thing. Shared an order of fries with my husband. Glad we did, the order is huge. So big they serve it on a sheet of parchment cause it's all spilling over. And they were good! I normally don't care for fresh cut fries cause they're never crispy or seasoned right but these were!! I just kept eating them. Burger was seasoned perfect, it was juicy and the bun held up to it just fine. Oh my lord this was such a good meal. We drive back and forth a lot between Texas and Arkansas and this will be a favorite lunch spot along the way. Delicious! read more

Stopped here for the Tesla supercharger. The food at flips was Delicious. I enjoyed my chicken sandwich, my spouse loved his burger, and my kid loved her grilled cheese. The seasoning for the fries is fabulous, and optional so I liked controlling how much. Casual vibe. Exposed brick. Good service. Only drawback: styrofoam water/soda glasses. But overall read more

Got take out grilled chicken sandwiches and a small order of fries as we were passing through town today. The food is priced well & very good! Luckily we were told to share a small order of fries so we only ended up wasting a few because we were STUFFED! We'll be back next time we're driving through. COVID disclaimer: All staff were masked, it appeared very clean, & seating was socially distanced for dining in. read more

Good classic burgers with a ton of fries!!! Cool old building downtown in the square.

Service quick and efficient. Ordered cheeseburger with fries. Fries were hot, thin and crispy. Burger was ok. Patty was premade. Burger was hot when served. Not the best burger I've ever had. Ordered lemonade which was terrible, obviously from a mix with a bad aftertaste. read more

My family went to Flips for the first time. I was told their burgers were the best around. The burger was good. Definitely not the best burger I have ever had but it was definitely fresh. The fries came out in a huge serving, but I wasn't a huge fan of them. They were soggy and a little burnt. The service was really good. The old man who was our waiter did a very good job and we left him a good tip because of it, The restaurant itself was okay. The parking wasn't great since you had to walk a ways. It was nice and updated on the inside. read more

Service was fast and friendly! Food was great especially the homemade fries! Atmosphere was calm and relaxing!

A really great burger stand in Sulphur Springs, Texas. I wound up here accompanying my husband to a court hearing (he's an attorney y'all chill). A nice, clean establishment and the cooking line is VISIBLE to all (I love to be able to see my food being cooked). The portions are HUGE (Texas style). My husband was taken aback that the small fries looked like they can feed four people easily. My burger was delicious but the star of the show absolutely had to be the chili cheese fries with grilled onions. I will absolutely return if I find myself in Sulphur Springs again. read more

Food is fresh and of great quality! Delicious! Very welcoming atmosphere! A definite must while visiting Sulphur Springs!

Oh my goodness! The smallest order of fries would feed an army. They are delicious as are the burgers. They also have a pasta salad in the Spring time that is awesome. Also, quick and friendly service. read more

When the new owner took over Burgerland, he said he would not change the burger. He spoke about how much there would be little change in our local paper. Well I am sad to say-he did change the quality of food. The burger I had tonight was cold, a pre-formed malnourished piece of meat with a bun , and little condiments. The patty is no longer a handmade patty. The fries are also different - no longer hand cut . They still have Potatoe skin on them but also store bought as too many fries cut uniform . They need to decrease the quantity and go with quality on the fries. This used to be our go to burger place. Now I would rather have my Whataburger burger than any at Burgerland. I will say - the owner is very nice but he needs to keep his word on " no change " in quality. read more

Had dinner here last night. Food was hot and delicious. One of the best burger's I've had in a long time. Great job grill chef.

We made the trip to Sulphur Springs, Tx from Louisiana for my daughters 16th birthday. While checking out the area we came across this burger joint. I ordered chili cheese fries and the reds hot steak which when explained to me was a 2/3 lb burger patty with cheese, onions, jalapeño and other goodness that would have made this fat guy drool. The chili cheese fries were awesome. Hot gooey cheese and just the right amount of chili. I added on some mustard and it was a hit. I am sure the hot steak would have hit the spot too but somehow the grill guys missed the order on the ticket the waitress had written. My mom and wife both opted for single patty burger combo and both burgers came out delicious according to them. We were pressed for time so I decided to deny they grill guys offer to make the food free of charge. All in all this place had great food and the staff was Grade A top notch!! read more

Came to Sulphur Springs today to eat at another restaurant and found out that they close at 2. (WTH!) Anyway, I told my fiance, "Hey, I saw this burger place as we were driving, you want to try that place? She said "Sure." So, we walked the half block to Burgerland. The thing that caught my eye was this couple dining outside and a HUGE pile of french fries on their table. This place can offer a master class in making patty melts. AMAZING!!! And as a word of caution to would be diners, order the small fries first because it's a big order. Feeds two to three. The fries are lightly seasoned, home fries. They are not at all spicy though. Prices are excellent. Restaurant is very clean. Established in one of the historic buildings near the town square. Drinks were never empty. Waitress, Lyndie, did a great job. Come here. Now! Eat some great food. read more

Awesome food and Great service. In my opinion the best burgers in Sulphur Springs. Every time I come to town this is one of the first stops! Most always a owner or family member working and making the rounds to greet everyone that comes in. read more

Tried this little burger place and was not disappointed! The menu is simple and classic-- quality food at quality prices. The burgers are great and I loved the patty melt. The portion of the fries were very generous and a small size was enough to feed two. Delicious *real* fries tasted amazing and the special seasoning available on the table gave them an over-the-top taste. The staff was very attentive and refilled our drinks before we needed to ask for it and made sure everything about our meal was satisfactory. I was personally extremely satisfied with the meal and the exceptional service, and will definitely be coming back to try other items on the menu. read more

We were passing through on the way to Arkansas for a baseball tournament and wanted to try something other than what we have in the DFW area. This place is a simple restaurant that serves their burgers on white paper, fries in a Styrofoam container. Genius idea of not having dishes to wash except what they are using to cook with. The burgers were the best we've had in a very long time. I had the Reds Hot Steak (burger with grilled onions, jalapeños, and pepper jack cheese and one slice of toasted bread. The chili cheese fries that I personally referred to as Mt. Chili Cheese Fry Rushmore, were bangin!! The patty melt was pretty good, the burgers were good sized. The chili might not have been homemade (it's like Sonics Chili) but it's really good!! My only complaint was they served hot fries in a styrofoam container, next time I will request it be lined with their paper. The staff and service was AMAZING!! You should definitely try it and we will definitely be back. read more

Anyone who says this is an amazing burger is simply wrong... and probably a fan of fast food, more specifically Sonic. The burgers here could be wrapped in a Sonic wrapper... the taste is that similar. Portions are good and fries were tasty but if you are looking for a burger that is different from your normal fast food fare, this place just doesn't do it. For a resteraunt that only serves a few items and supposedly specializes in burgers... Its a disappointment. read more

Best burgers in Sulphur Springs by a long shot! And they give you plenty of fries with your order! Best Bang for your Buck!

My hub and I had eaten at the original Burgerland when in Paris for some business and was glad there's the Sulphur Springs location for us closer to home. First, SO glad they have tables in addition the counter seating! Nice location off the court house square, attentive and nice wait staff, good simple menu - burgers and fries and not much more! Burgers are really good, and they do fresh hand cut seasoned fries. Great hole in the wall type atmosphere with great simple cheap food. BTW portions are HUGE! My hub and I each had double patty burgers but couldn't even finish the REG size fries we shared. BE warned- Large fries are HUGE! This is our go-to burger place while living out here. read more
