Small business with such an inviting atmosphere! I got to eat here after a business meeting for lunch and it was delicious. I ordered The Hardy Boy sandwich which was loaded with brisket, sausage, the Bo's slaw. You get to add your bbq sauce (they have spicy and regular) at the table. This sandwich was an explosion of flavor, it was so juicy and the slaw had the perfect crunch. I added smoked Mac and cheese as a side and I have never had Mac and cheese that good. It was creamy, cheesy, and had the perfect smoked flavor to it. Definitely a must go to place again. read more

I think had the meat been fresh and hot this would have been really good. Not sure if the meat had been reheated or just sat out too long but that was disappointing. The smoked green beans were the star today. Nice and hot and full of flavor. Would I take the chance and come spend another $70? No. I will say that the bark on the brisket was good (just super dry brisket), the sausage would have been really good but it was over cooked and dry. What a sad disappointment. We've been looking forward to trying this place and tonight was the night. We walk in and the only menu is taped to the counter in front of the order window - not a single price on it. I ordered the sliced brisket plate with Parmesan potatoes and Cowboy beans and my wife had the rib plate with french fries and Cowboy beans. By the way, they don't have potato salad. When we picked up our order it consisted of two (yes two) slices of dry brisket and there were three small ribs on the other plate. I made sure to include photos. The brisket was very dry and tasteless as were the ribs. Neither of us cared for the Parmesan potatoes. I absolutely did not like the bbq sauce. All of this disappointment for $31. The people seem nice but this was one of our worse experiences at a BBQ restaurant. We won't be back. read more

A simple hole in the wall with really good BBQ. Was very surprised when I tasted it. I had the brisket and sausage

The moiste brisket seemed to have some of the flat mixed in...so some was a little denser than I like. Overall good flavor and decent smoke ring, but the fat was not well rendered in places and had an icky mouth feel. The bark was not too bad.....we live in Fort Worth and our local barbecue place is actually better and surprisingly cheaper. Speaking of that, this o the first time in my life that h have not seen any posted menu prices online or in person when ordering. Seems sketch. And the brisket as it turns out in August of 2024 will set you back 26.95 a pound. About 3 dollars a pound more expensive than Dallas Fort Worth. Just thought you should know. I will attach the receipt so at least you have a few prices and don't get blindsided. Anyway, I would say the better value is the sliced brisket sandwich which has generous amounts of brisket on a tasty bun. Okra is also good. THE BEST BBQ I HAVE EVER HAD! We were visiting friends who are local and decided to stop here. I'm not a huge BBQ fan, but it's usually quick and easy. However this blew me away! The brisket was perfect. The sausage delicious. Great slaw. But the real star of the menu is their baked beans!!!! THEY WERE INCREDIBLE! I cannot stop thinking about them! They have a covered indoor area which makes it nice and cool. And there is a great space outside for kids to run around. My husband and I were just traveling through town and stopped, Great Decision! You can smell the yummy as soon as you walk through the door! Husband ordered the Chopped Beef Sandwich, Smoked Mac and Cheese and homemade Banana Pudding and described it as Fantabulous! I had the loaded Brisket Spud and fresh fried okra, ate very bit of the okra and took about half of the GIANT tato home, cause why not enjoy some of the goodness later?! We stepped outside while waiting and the owner moved some chairs for us to set in the shade with a breeze, checked on our order and brought it out to us complete with the BBQ sauce! We drove in from Rowlett with my parents and this BBQ did not disappoint. It was worth the drive. First of all, we were impressed by the large yard with tree swings and sitting areas with umbrellas. It felt like we were visiting someone's home. They let us bring our dogs inside the yard to play. And us 'humans' had fun playing corn hole. Both couples ordered the sampler platter. Bought some to carry back home and the super friendly staff packaged it so we could transport it in our ice chest back to Arkansas. This place is amazing!!! We stopped by on our trip from Austin and we loved it! You never know with BBQ places. But this surpassed our greatest expectations. Very cute place, the owner obviously spent some time and money making it look like a nice BBQ place with a bit of modern to it (loved the fancy garage roll up windows).The customer service was excellent, friendly and happy to help us. But most importantly... the BRISKET! The SAUSAGE! My daughter got lean brisket and I specifically asked for fatty brisket. Both were amazing and moist. Beans had fantastic taste with just a little bit of kick to them. Even the toast was spectacular - not just the typical white piece of bread thrown down at some other BBQ joints. First time customer to be a long time customer. Had the sampler with the potatoes and okra all cooked to perfection. Ribs hands down meaty tender and delicious as they come. First-timers to the area (traveling the US) and wanted to have a good Texas BBQ! We looked up on Google maps and Yelp where a good restaurant would be near where we were staying. Both showed us high ratings for Marshall's Barbecue Pit. Driving in they have a fenced-in yard with lots of games for both kids and adults to play. The wonderful smell of BBQ was in the air. There is a small covered drive-up area to order from if you didn't want to eat there. There's a large covered area with picnic tables for sitting about 40 or more. The area was very clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered "The Mashell Platter" give us Brisket, Ribs, Turkey, Pulled Pork, and Sausage, with two sides, (we chose) barbecue beans and coleslaw. While on a weekend excursion, my boyfriend and I decided to grab lunch at Marshall's. I got The Hoss and it was excellent. The portions were filling and the flavor of the meat was good. My boyfriend got the rib plate and enjoyed his meal as well. The meat of the ribs were so tender that they feel off the bone. The customer was great and one of the owners, Ron, was very personal. As a thank-you for coming and it being our first-time he threw in some banana pudding that was yummy. When visiting Emory we will definitely be back to eat. read more

Love this place and it's just up the road from me. Meats are excellent. Sides are great. Every Thanksgiving and Christmas we get two of their smoked turkey breasts. Never had better. One time had an issue with one of their staff, but when I brought it to the attention of the owner, he addressed it and made it right. Only wish they were open more days. read more
