Anyway today I was appalled by the rudeness of the checkout clerk. She was very insistent that I type in my own Brookshire's points code. After I fumbled with trying to type in the code, I became insistent that I wanted her to put it in the same way every clerk had done for me in the past. This was when she started arguing with me that the clerks were not suppose to do that anymore. I told her that with her attitude she was providing me a reason to no longer do business at Brookshire's Mineola. I advised her that she needed to learn to treat her elders with respect. Truth be told, I probably am 3X this young lady's age. I was wearing a US Army Cap during my visit which had no sway as to how I was treated. I do think that being an 85 year old senior citizen who served his country that the young clerk could have cut me some slack.
