Our server was extremely nice and friendly (I unfortunately didn't catch his name). Everyone seemed like a regular, and he was chatting with everyone, which was so nice to see. We even told him we'd be back for dinner! We explored Burbank for the day and came back for dinner. I got the Philly cheesesteak and my husband got the burger and fries. Everything was just as delicious! I even burned my mouth because I wasn't patient and took a huge bite which honestly just proves the food comes out hot and fresh! We'll definitely be back! When our meals arrived, the portion sizes were almost comical. Each plate came with an astonishingly skimpy pile of maybe 10 to 15 tiny fries, and my burger was barely larger than a slider. My daughter's milk chocolate shake was served in a tiny 8-ounce plastic cup--not very 1950s diner-esque, to say the least. Even worse, my daughter's chicken sandwich looked so suspect that we had to conduct a detailed examination to ensure it wasn't raw or pink in the middle. The table itself was noticeably dirty and grimy, and the ketchup bottle on the table was downright gross. Believe it or not, the garlic wings were actually very good, but that was the sole bright spot in an otherwise sketchy meal. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but for these prices, that shouldn't matter. Save your time and money--think twice before coming here because we certainly won't be back. Also the prices on the menu are very inaccurate!

She suggested I get it on grilled sourdough, and she was not wrong. Best sandwich of the year? Maybe. Morning on Main in Sunland might give it a run with their Paradiso, but I digress. Anyway, the Navajo Meatloaf sandwich is meatloaf with melted cheese, long grilled onions, avocado with a barbecue sauce. A little extra bbq for dipping. Sounds like an unusual combo, but on that grilled sourdough it was a revelation. Also huge, so I took half of it home and had it for dinner. Came back the following Thursday for more. Yes my friends, it was that kind of sandwich. The kind of sandwich you think about, when you are watching people eat in a diner on TV, while thinking "they could be eating a Navaho Meatloaf on Thursday at Tallyrand, but are they? They are not." After the appointment we were starving and decided to go to Foxy's. It was not our first time there. Well, during lunch it felt like something crawled on my foot. I looked down at my sandal, but didn't see anything. Honestly, our food arrived and I didn't think anything more of it. Then, here comes the gross part, In the middle of lunch my mother picked up her glass of orange juice to take a sip, and a cockroach was making it's way up the glass. My father quickly got a napkin to try to get it and kill it, but it got away. I quickly got up because I was not going to sit back down and have it crawl on me or get in my purse. I asked our server to get the manager. I explained what happened and the manager offered to move us to another booth. Um, no! We weren't going to sit down anywhere else or eat anymore of our food. We were all very grossed out! The cockroach was one of those small German roaches, and I know where there's one, there's definitely more hiding...or crawling around. We just wanted to leave! I was even more grossed out thinking that maybe that's what I felt crawl on my foot. The manager was very kind and obviously embarrassed about what had happened, and said we didn't have to pay for our lunch. He also stated he had never seen a roach in the restaurant and that something like this had never happened before. Do I believe that? No, not really. If you've been inside Foxy's you know it's in serious need of some TLC...and fumigation.
