I had a flight scheduled at Burbank Airport. But was called last minute for a zoom job interview. I needed somewhere comfy and somewhat low key. I checked out the dining area. It was A/C cool and not too crowded. Music was a little loud but I made it work. They have free wifi but I used my hotspot. Sra. Lucy who works here was awsome! I felt safe, cool and comfortable. I killed the interview and my double chicken tostada! read more

The manager Lucy kept me waiting while she was doing something else right behind the counter, and when she finally finished and looked up, said another employee would take my order. Why couldn't she? Then the employee came, Michael, and he had a poor attitude. Like he really didn't want to be there. He was talking to me but talking downward and avoiding eye contact, like he was just going through the motions and had a problem with me. His "Enioy" at the end was like a joke. He tried to charge me higher for the tacos despite it being Taco Tuesday, until I had to correct him. What a terrible employee. Then in the seating area, another employee was sitting in one of the booths looking extremely depressed, hat down, hand on his face. He stared at me as I walked in and sat. It made me feel uncomfortable. He stayed there for a long time, and didn't even clean up the stuff on the floor. Doing the bare minimum. Tables were sticky. The chicken al carbon tacos had rubbery pieces of chicken and didn't have much taste apart from the cilantro. Chicken's the name of the restaurant but it failed. I loved Pollo Loco, but I'm shocked. I guess every location is a hit or miss. read more

Customer service is terrible. Waiting in line to pick up a mobile order and cashier was just having conversation with another customer for 10 minutes. I understand being nice to customers but when other people are waiting we don't need to have 10-15 minutes conversations. When I went up to the cashier he immediately had attitude when I told him I was there for a mobile pickup order and in a snarky tone said "you know you didn't even have to wait you could of just asked anybody". Okay nice to know, why didn't any other worker ask if I needed help the whole time I was standing there? And guess what? They forgot to even make it! So I had to wait even longer. I hope the cashier sees this and works in his attitude read more

I love El Pollo Loco and was excited to see a new location nearby. That said, this visit was a bit off. My salad had a lot of wilted and blackened lettuce, which isn't typical for EPL, and the chicken was pretty dry--especially the overcooked ends, they were almost waxy. I also didn't care for the chipotle dressing and definitely prefer the creamy cilantro (won't make that mistake again!). On the bright side, the staff was very kind, and the dining area was clean. I didn't hate the salad--just had to pick through it more than usual. I'll still come back though, because I genuinely enjoy their salads when they're done right. When I do come back to this location, I'll update my review if warranted. read more

El Pollo Loco - Fresca Salad & Original Pollo Bowl - Mexican Near Me - Burbank, California

This Pollo Loco is my go to location. The chicken here is consistently good, and always fresh. I Love their tacos , quesadillas, & Pollo bowl. Service is fast and friendly. The interior dining room is always clean. The open view kitchen makes it nice to see them prepare your food start to finish. Great value when the coupons come in the mail . This location keeps their salsa in prepackaged containers behind the counter, which is much better than a salsa bar that looks like the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina by lunch. read more

I'm always an el pollo loco fan, been enjoying it since high school 25 yrs ago ! This is a perfect location outside airport makes it convenient to grab a quick bite while waiting for uber. Unfortunate today I've encountered a loud rude unfriendly cashier that presented her with a condescending attitude towards customers, it's obvious she is lack of customer service training and hated her job, don't know why she is a cashier, she really just need to be in the back frying chicken if she doesn't know how to talk to customers read more

Aracely provided excellent customer service, served my food quickly and seemed genuine in her happiness and quality of service. Thank you!

A new EPL appeared near the Burbank airport. Mom wanted to check it out as she likes EPL. We took a visit during our day of running errands. The place has a huge kitchen which I feel could have been reduced for more dining area. There are good amount of tables inside. I like the high stool counter top table as you can charge your device or use a laptop while having your meal. Other than that EPL is still EPL. Oh! Don't get their crunchy tacos. Its pretty hard, very oily, and not satisfying. My mother wanted to try, she got 2, I saw that she wasn't too pleased with it so I shared my food while taking her 2nd taco. Its just not good. Parking: medium sized private lot VERDICT: One and done read more

I forgot how much I like their grilled chicken. Warm flour tortillas, fresh salsa, and well-seasoned, perfectly grilled chicken. Simple, consistent, and always a solid treat. read more

Hot chicken with good salsa and fresh tortillas. Service was fine. Certainly nothing to write home about, but man they must be busy .... Not really much in the way ambience with this place but that's not what you're here. You're here for that hot flame, grilled chicken, and El Pollo loco always delivers that this place was especially impressive because the chicken was tasty and right off the fire read more

I hate when businesses post pictures of the food that don't actually represent the product. It actually looks... fine. But the chicken is boooonnnne dry, leaves are wilted, avocado is brown. "Fresh" is the last word I'd use to describe this meal. Go drop a few more bucks and get some real Mexican food at a local spot. read more

4 Stars Based on the - "It Is What It Is"... Theory of Fast Food. The Food, Service, and Ambiance is what you would expect. I mean... It's El Pollo Loco. If you're unsure... give it a try. Obvious Tip: It's alwats a lot better when you have the "Munchies". I will most likely return at some point. Enjoy. Pro Tip: The Double Chicken Ultimate Tostada Salad with the Creamy Avocado Dressing is pretty dang good!!! (Super Pro Tip: Get an extra dressing... You will thank me later) #jsho read more

I ordered a 16 piece family meal and an extra 8 piece at 6:46p per the receipt. I asked before ordering if they had enough chicken and was told yes after checking. It's now 7:10pm and I've still not received my order. This is unacceptable. Don't take the order if it's too large! read more

I did not know this place opens at noon on Saturday. I wanted to grab a shredded chicken taco and churro. I walked in at noon and was the second person in line. The staff was friendly, and the store was clean. I enjoyed my taco, and they did give me guacamole and Salsa on the side. read more

I like me a good chicken. I think that the chicken here is very tasty. You have to be el locco to not like poco loco chicken.

I think the people who left 5 star reviews work there or are friends bc we have been there several times and EVERY time it sucks. Tonight was the last straw. I got a 3 piece combo. The chicken wasn't just dry it was burned around the edges from sitting on the warming plate all day. TERRIBLE! Also the world's saltiest soup. Blechhh. There are several other places to eat in this shopping center. Avoid this El Pollo Loco. read more

I haven't been to pollo loco in yrs. It was truly disappointing, the chicken was extremely dry and I'm pretty sure the chicken they used for the tostada was not fresh, the rice and beans were awful as well. The quality of their food has gone down! Pollo loco should be shut down! read more

El Pollo Loco is above average fast food, and the newer chicken quesadilla is delicious. But what really won me over was the manager the night I was picking up my order. I did not wait long for a patron in front of me to finish their order, but the manager still offered me a courtesy soft drink cup for the wait, something I did not expect and greatly appreciated. Much respect for the management of this location! read more
