The dining room is decorated to look like, you guessed it, a barn with signs and antique decor. We were taken right in at the front counter where you place your food order. They give you a pager to let you know when it's chow time. Bring the pager to the kitchen window where your hot food will be waiting for you. I ordered the catfish and gulf shrimp. I t came with hush puppies and coleslaw. I added the fried okra as my side. My wife had the gulf shrimp as well and couldn't stop raving about it. Everything was delicious. My wife ordered a burger and devoured it without a single word. This is how I know she truly enjoyed it. I went for two tacos (they run about $6 bucks each) including the Pulled Hammy and the Mama Migas. Both were packed with flavor and spicy enough to keep me on my toes. Service was on point. Our waitress hustled even though it was a chill lunch crowd. The bar itself has this cozy (not wide) historic downtown vibe with brick and wood and all the kind of stuff you see in those hip Austin places people brag about.
