I reiterated I joined the waitlist online list 35 minutes ago and it said 45-50 minutes at that time. He says the time doesn't start until we get here! The million dollar bacon was okay, but probably the best you can find in the area. Have not tried specialty coffee so cannot tell, the refill coffee was okay. I in general don't think there is much you can tell about the usual coffee. I love the first watch for the interior, service and how things are run. Perfect breakfast/lunch spot right off the main drag near campus. Large parking lot, spacious inside seating and the staff was super friendly. My favorite part was the menu, lots of options across the board from healthy chia seed puddings to a burger. I got the chia pudding bowl with their homemade granola, fresh fruit, and almond butter toast which was all yummy. A little pricey for what you get but enjoyed my meal overall. Decided to give this place a try today. Being new to the area; I'm going at a slow and deliberate pace through all the eateries in the BCS area. Upon arriving, I saw a fairly busy dining room filled with smells of delicious food. I waited about 2-3 minutes before someone helped me, and again, they were a bit busy. I chose the turkey burger, thinking it was a regular turkey sandwich. And as a side, I chose the tomato bisque. I then waited about 15 minutes for my to-go order; which was fine as it gave me a chance to catch up on work emails. When I got to work, I found the sandwich, not a regular turkey sandwich but a turkey burger, and soup were both still hot. However, there were no napkins or plastic ware. The turkey burger was flavorful and delicious, as was the soup. The lady who helped me at the restaurant was both polite and helpful. However, she missed those tiny details, which are so important. Plus, I think she was training someone new, so double yikes for not paying attention to detail. Anyways, I'll definitely be back. I've been wanting to visit this place due to the delicious-looking menu, and I have to say, the food was definitely good. However, I'm subtracting a star due to the service we received. The drinks we ordered were the Morning Meditation Fresh Juice, Kale Tonic Fresh Juice, and Purple Haze. Out of the three, the Purple Haze left a great impression from the start. The taste of lavender was surprisingly great. However, it became very sweet quickly. The next juice that left a great impression was the Morning Meditation Fresh Juice. The different layers provide different flavors, but when combined, it tastes really great--it isn't too sweet but it's flavorful. Last is the Kale Tonic Fresh Juice. You can just taste how healthy it is! It definitely wasn't my favorite. Moving onto our meals--we had the Smoked Salmon Benedict, Market Hash, Power Breakfast Quinoa Bowl, and the 2 For You. Comparing Kerbey Lane Cafe's Egg Benedict to First Watch's Egg Benedict, I'd have to say First Watch is the winner. Although it had a very strong flavor of tomato, the salmon provides great flavor and the eggs were cooked perfectly. If you're looking for a light meal with light flavors, try the Smoked Salmon Benedict! The Market Hash was the best dish we had, minus the fruits it came with. The Market Hash tasted extremely similar to Cheese Fries, so if that's something you like, the Market Hash is a must try! The Whole Grain Artisan Toast with Jelly was a favorite of mine--it's quite addicting. As for the 2 For You and the Power Breakfast Quinoa Bowl, they both tasted great and clean. Now, onto the disappointing factor, the customer service we encountered. We felt like our server wasn't attentive. When we were seated, we asked for utensils and an extra cup of water when we ordered our drinks. Our water never came, so we had to ask again when our food came out. We also had to ask for utensils again until we finally received them. As we were eating, we were handed our checks prior to finishing our food so we felt a bit rushed to get out of there, even though there was ample time prior to closing (about 30 minutes). Overall, the food was definitely great. It was filling and definitely worth it for its price. The service, on the other hand, wasn't great, even though the place was crowded at the time. read more

We had a group of 20 (adults) and went here for brunch on my daughter's birthday. They do not take reservations but we did call ahead about an hour and a half to let them know we were coming. We also got on the waitlist online. They were so nice and told us they would be ready for us and that they had a back room that could accommodate us. There are games like corn hole and Jenga outside while you wait. We arrived and were seated shortly after the area became open. The servers were very efficient in getting drinks and orders. The food came out quickly and everything was so delicious! I had the Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl and a side of grits. We also had the Million Dollar Bacon which is such a guilty pleasure and a must have. The bowl was packed with flavor and so fresh. The grits were cooked perfectly which is always a plus with grits. One of the servers happily took a group photo of us. We were in and out in the same time as if we had a party of 4. They really made my daughter's birthday special and took care of us. It took so long that the infant we brought got cranky, so dad had to take the baby home, very frustrating to have to wait this long to be seated.
