Jessie's tacos are amazing. They cost about $6, but you only need one. They are stuffed full of food. The Mexican egg, bean and bacon is my favorite breakfast taco. Today I had the carnitas taco and green pork taco. The meat was tender and juicy, with no fat. I added refried beans and pico de gallo, I ate them both but will limit myself to one in the future. The ladies working there are all sweet and friendly. Their green sauce is delicious, I pour it on everything! They also have a veteran's discount! read more

Fabulous authentic Mexican food in an incredibly clean, well staffed family run restaurant. Each of the meats offered on the menu are slow cooked to tender perfection and fabulous flavor. Such a great experience at this taqueria! The owner, Jesse, personally came out to greet us and was even working behind the counter! You can tell he really cares about his customers and his food. My last day in Bryan/College Station had me calling for breakfast tacos which YELP directed me here on an early Friday morning. Upon arriving I noticed a large Dallas Cowboys sign about parking only for cowboys fans. It made me chuckle so figured I'd go in and see if there tacos are better than the Cowboys recent postseason performances. Fortunately, they are! The breakfast tacos are large and awesome. Went with the migas and chorizo & egg tacos, both of which were tasty and even more powerful with the jalapeno salsa added. Also got a green pork taco where the pork was tender and melt in your mouth with the stew sauce. I wish I could've ordered all of the tacos but your belly has a limit unless you're Joey Chestnut. The owner Jesse operates the register and is friendly and passionate about his business and his football team. You will see a mini cowboys shrine when you walk in showing the love for his team. Then as you order and speak with him, you will notice his love and passion for his food and his customers. I got a huge smile from him as he handed me my bag and a powerful handshake thanking me for stopping by. The pleasure is all mine Jesse and thank you and your staff for the deliciousness I experienced at your store! read more

This was the best find! My burritos were excellent and the service was perfect! There was just so much charm to this local stop - the linens on the tables, the . I was greeted when I entered by at least 3 people, and as I left, I heard, "Thanks for coming in, new lady! Come back soon!" read more

Outstanding! Great to be back in Aggie land. Came for breakfast. The tacos are delicious and very large.

Wonderful staff and even better food!! It is such a nice place for breakfast and lunch, the owner went above and beyond to make sure all the guest were doing okay and satisfied, he even went as far as asking me and my friend if we wanted water with or without ice (seeing that we didn't purchase a drink) Definitely will be eating here again! read more

Sirloin steak tacos OMG best ever. This place has the best tacos I have ever had. One taco is more than a meal. They build them the way you want it!!! Quick too. I also watched Jesse give orders away to military people in their uniform, they never pay. What a great guy. You will not be sorry eating here!!! God Bless you Jesse read more

Went to Jesse's for the breakfast tacos. The people serving gave decent portions. Now for the food: The only thing worst than their salty and dry food the awful and hateful political propaganda on full display. The food is trash and so is this place. If I could give this place a 0 I would. AND TO ADD FOR CLARIFICATION (since the owner responded): Yelp reviews include ambiance, which my original review refers to. Seeing an employee wear a politically hateful and ignorant shirt, walking around the restaurant affects the ambiance, which ruined my appetite. read more

Traveling back to Corpus Christi we stopped in at Jesse's for a quick breakfast taco. I will say the friendly environment and service was very welcoming. Clean establishment and excellent breakfast taco selections. I had the Barbacoa which was fresh and plentiful. I also had the carne guisada which I will say was some darn good spicy guisada. Not spicy beyond enjoyable but spicy enough to add great flavor. Highly recommend if you are in the mood for some authentic Mexican breakfast tacos. read more

Been going to Jesse's for a few years now, I just happened to stumble across Jesse's place and immediately enjoyed the ambiance of the place. While jesse is a big cowboys fan he welcomes all and serve some of the best tacos I've had in Bryan/College Station. As well as the restaurant is clean and constantly cleaning table for more customers. Only downside is once you've had these tacos you don't want to go to other places by choice. read more

I was there when they first opened and they have also been humble and treated me and my family like we where family, but let's take about how good this food is. You would have to be crazy not to enjoy the freshest breakfast Tacos, best flavor hands down. Great food and service!! Found Jesse's just 4 minutes from my son's house in Bryan. It's a hidden gem ! Food is authentic and super fresh. They make their chips when you order them! Jesse is there greeting customers with a big smile on his face. If I had to say something on the negative side it would be that we couldn't really eat at the restaurant because their sitting area is pretty small. But we absolutely didn't mind taking their hot, fresh food home to eat. read more

Came here before work on a Friday morning at 6 am. Definitely not the place to grab breakfast tacos if youre craving them. Service was good, staff is friendly but inattentive, and cooks arent the most knowledgeable it seems. If youre looking for slapped together tacos this is your place! read more

Great food!!! Great service!! Clean restaurant. Found this restaurant on Yelp... the store front was nestled in the heart of the community. We were greeted with the intoxicating aroma of freshly brewed coffee and hand made flour tortillas. This establishment uses a counter service model which allows you to view an abundant steam table overflowing with freshly made staples like bean and cheese, barbacoa and picadillo. The food was fresh, tasty and authentic. As added surprise there were a variety of pastries that were equally tasty. Overall we had a great experience at Jesse's taqueria & bakery. Great Breakfast Tacos and everyone was very friendly. Will definitely be back next time I am in town.

Yelp led me to this cozy (i.e. small) storefront with cafeteria-style service. It was too clean to be a "dive", but spiritually they are in that class of locales I love. Gringo tip1: Don't do what someone (who sorta looked like me) did and ask the woman taking orders which of X and Y she recommends. You may get an exasperated and well-deserved sigh accompanied by sharp Splangish and quickly echoed by the hungry devotees in line behind you. Be prepared to order promptly. Order what, you ask? My experience and table-neighbors suggest whatever looks interesting. You likely can't go wrong. I was there toward the end of their day (they close at 2pm, 1pm on Saturday) and the cook was still adding freshly cooked eggs for breakfast tacos to the steam table; the eggs were laden with colorful veggies and moist, far more than the usual dried out steam table fare. But rather than the breakfast tacos, I opted for a barbacoa and ribeye tacos. Gingo tip2: pay attention to items posted with handwritten notes, ones not on the menu. That is where I discovered the ribeye at the very last minute. Both tacos overflowed with delicious meat. But the ribeye was particularly wonderful. The side of beans was good as well, and homemade. The woman who took my order gave me a funny look when I also asked for two corn tortillas. That may be because they were humongous, in addition to being handmade, fresh, and tasty. I could have made a meal of the tortillas, beans, and salsa. Well, maybe not. The latter was the only weak point in the meal. The salsas were ok, but watery and not up to the standard of the rest. No matter. The totality was splendid. read more

Best breakfast tacos in town. Been going since day 1. Their queso, hot sauces and chips can't be beat either.

We ordered breakfast tacos from them last week at work and they were excellent! The green sauce is so good!

Portion size are big and the barria tacos are amazing! Cool little joint and Jesse is always there.

My second time to Jesse's, first time was 5+ years ago when my wife was interviewing for a position at A&M. I was brought along for some dinner events but was free during the day. Wanted breakfast tacos, found Jesse's, ordered 2 maybe even 3, which was way too many for breakfast. So ate them throughout the day. Great tacos! Breakfast & lunch. Fast forward to this time. I'm in Bryan and had just dropped off my wife at TAMU. wanted to get breakfast tacos for me and our son so decided to go the Jesse's. Long story short, ordered 2 tacos for each of us. Again it was too much for breakfast but made was enough for lunch too. Tacos are made right in front of you, good salsas, line moved quickly. read more

When I'm in Aggieland, I make it a point to stop by Jesse's each time. You'll need to drive to Bryan, yet the tacos are worth it. I'm from San Antonio, and the tacos remind me of the flavors I'd find at home - in a restaurant or in my own house. When you enter, you'll be greeted by delicious smells and a warm smile from Jesse. If it's not too busy, you'll also be able to chat with the owner - Jesse. Finally, check out how the restaurant is clothed in maroon and white for Aggie Game Day! This table was quickly snapped up moments later because it was busy! read more

Absolutely terrific food. Reasonable prices. A large, friendly, attentive staff. And Jesse is super nice.
