Coco Locos is without a doubt, my favorite local restaurant in the B/CS area!! I definitely recommend people to head over and give it a try. They have very quick and efficient service, while also giving you extremely tasty food. If you head over and check out their authentic interior design, then you have to get the migas tacos! The migas tacos are my favorite item on the menu. Coco Locos is a very cool place, where you can go on a date, hangout with friends after a nice early morning workout, or get some silence and solitude (and migas tacos of course)! Super loaded tacos with homemade salsas and meats await you at Coco Loco! We stopped in here because it's on the Bryan Texas Taco Trail and we will definitely come back. The chicharron taco came with a very generous amount of perfectly stewed chicharron in a rich tomato sauce. I'm used to green-sauced chicharron, so this was a delightful change and a delicious taco. Really 4.5 stars because I would have loved a beer with my lunch. If I'm wrong about that happy to change it to 5 stars. Was recommended for breakfast tacos but I was running late and had the Carne Guisada plate for lunch and it was fantastic. Should I try more of the menu before rating? Maybe but if you can nail the Guisada and the flour tortillas and also have really good rice and beans, delicious salsas, and queso that makes me wish I'd ordered the large, and super nice service on top of it all then, no, this review is good to go. read more

My sweetie and I regularly enjoy visiting Coco Loco, a hidden gem on Texas Ave tucked in the parking lot of a frequently changing hotel. The food here is always solid, prices affordable, and the service has always been friendly and accurate. I love the salsa and will totally empty the bowl, while my sweetie is fond of the spicy green sauce. And I don't know what magic goodness is in their enchilada sauce, but OMG it is SOOO good! I mop up the left overs from my plate even after I finish the enchiladas. The rice is good, and much closer to what I've had from homemade Spanish rice than most restaurants. And while refried beans aren't my favorite, I still enjoy eating the ones at Coco Loco. Coco Loco has been in their location a long time, they were here when I first moved to Bryan and were my go to place to eat when I was temporary staying at the Preference Inn (the hotel that was there at the time). So it's always been a place I think of fondly, and every time we go, it just reminds me why. read more

I've been going here since I can remember and the food never disappoints. I would get the barbacoa tacos or the machacado plate which are both delicious. The decor in the restaurant is comforting and there's always something to look at. As far as the service, it's amazing no matter how busy or slow they are. You won't regret eating here! read more

OMG - we found a hidden gem in Bryan!! We went to eat right at 11am...several of us had breakfast pancakes, micas, huevos rancheros, breakfast tacos, etc...everyone loved it!! Two of us had the carne guisada - and it was yummy!! The tortillas were homemade and perfect!! The service was amazing - so attentive and friendly! We really like this place to eat breakfast but the service isn't that great. They just don't pay attention. Every time I call in an order to this location I am always ignored for a few minutes, even when the waiter or waitress is standing right next to me. The food is so yummy though, and we will keep coming back for sure. I'm not sure if the Welsh location is owned by the same people but they had much better service. The people their are so friendly, so if you had to chose which on to go to I would go there. Still like I said the food is great so don't let a little extra time waiting stop you from going! :-) read more

Gotta give this one something to bring its stars up a little. They may have had their license suspended a year ago, but we've been there since and it's okie doke. Seems clean, and I've not seen them on the health department's radar since last year (which, okay, is disgusting). A lot of locals eat there, which to me is always a good sign, and the food is hot, good portion sizes, and reasonably priced. They have gigantic cups for water, which I love, and it's our go-to place when La Familia's too crazy-crowded. It's nothing fancy, but the salsa is good, and the tortillas fresh, so...if there were two and a half stars, I'd do that, just because like I said, nothing fantastico, just okay. read more

I've been eating with CoCo Loco 3-4 times per year for the past 15+ years. They've increased their prices over the years (who hasn't), but everything else has stayed very consistent. Good prices, FAST service & GREAT COMIDA! The wife and I ate there again last night (no Saturday night waiting line) and we were not disappointed in any way. Wife and I went tonight and had the Mexican burger and a coco loco burger. They changed up their burgers from what they use to serve. Not for the better. The bun is a sweet bun and thin. The burger doesn't fit the bun. It use to hang out over the bun and juicy and tasty. The burger was DRY and had no flavor. It almost tasted like it might be a soy burger instead of meat. The fries use to be hand made home fries but these were frozen fries. I guess I'll stick to their Mexican food items which they do or use to do pretty good. We haven't eaten there in awhile so that may have changed also. I just don't know at this time. read more

The best version of the green sauce I've had. The chips are sometimes stale and you might have stomach issues the next day. But hey, at least you're not bland and boring and eating at On the Border or some atrocity.
