    Cilantro Fish

Enjoyed our lunch at this small unassuming Mexican cafe riced away off the beaten path. The cilantro fish is spectacular, made even better with the homemade tortillas. Large portions. Service was friendly and prompt.

We returned to Cilantro to give them another go. The service was good and what I tried this trip was good. I had the Tacos Al Carbon. The carne asada was well cooked, but the tortillas were a little dry. I mixed the beef with refried beans which made it even better. They do have better spanish rice than most, so that was pleasing as well. We also had the chicken and shrimp fajitas. It was pretty good, but I wish the onions were more well caramelized. I did really like their chips and salsa. The red salsa was really unique and wasn't too hot. It was a nice evening with Christmas decorations that really added to the charm of the place. Cilantro left me with memories of a great evening out with my family. We will be back.

This place is pretty middd, the service was good, nice ambiance inside, but the food was just okay. The chips and salsa were my favorite part of the meal, the red salsa was very flavorful, and they weren't shy about refilling the chips. I ordered the beef fajitas and shrimp which turned out to be pretty lack luster, the beef itself was dry and didn't have much flavor. They also only included 2 shrimps which considering their size, what's even the point.

Today I had lunch at Cilantro downtown Bryan Teas. Order Chicken Fajitas with Charro bean and flower tortillas. The food was very good and service. Here is a good place for lunch and dinner. They are close in Monday.

Our first time visit to visit was when we moved our kiddo in to A&M - so today we decided it was only fitting to close the CStat experience with a final Visit. The food and service are amazing. Daniel was so nice and attentive - great service! But let me tell you, the fried avocado (mine was stuffed with chicken, but there are other options) is a work of art. If you're a fan of avocados and deliciousness - do yourself a favor with this one. Yum!

OK Everyone! This restaurant is sooo good. All of the food we ordered tasted like it was made from scratch. We went at an off hour so there was only a few guest eating. The service was great! It did take some time for the food to come out, but we didn't mind because it was worth the wait! We ordered the stuffed poblano and shrimp and poblano enchiladas. When you go, ask for Cristi! She will take EXCELLENT care of you.

Do NOT go here if youre looking for even decent Mexican food!! Y'all, I can't believe the reviews and stars after trying to eat here. The salsa was decent tasting but so watery it was a mess. Margaritas that are a mix or wine. Then the waitress brings my fajitas about 5 mins before the rest of our food! The shrimp were terrible and overcooked, like rubber. The beef wasn't very flavorful either. The tortillas had zero flavor even though they appeared to be homemade. The chicken flautas were soggy and didn't taste at all! The guacamole was store bought even! Take your money elsewhere for good food, we couldn't even finish ours. I really wished it was as good as the previous reviews made it out to be.

Lunch Specials: Speedy Gonzalez and the Enchilada Plate

Bryan is my home town and just came back for a family reunion craving some great Tex-Mex. This is it! Speedy Gonzales was a hit along with the Enchilada plate. #yum

Our party of 12 family members ate at this restaurant after celebrating my niece's graduation from Texas A&M. This was her request. And now I know why. The food was absolutely delicious!!! Everyone in our party had something different. The food presentation was mouth-watering. It was colorful and well-balanced. I ordered the Shrimp Poblano Enchiladas with creamy poblano sauce, charro beans and rice. There were shrimp in every bite of the enchiladas and the right amount of the delicious poblano sauce. The rice and beans were also cooked well. The green and red salsa was excellent as well. My husband's Beef Short Ribs with grilled onions looked delicious as well. Even the sweet tea was good. Not overly sweet and the perfect balance with ice. I was too full so I did not order dessert. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. And the restrooms were very clean and spacious. Because I do not live in the area and my niece has graduated my return is unlikely. But I had to write this review for those who live in the area. It is definitely worth a visit. The food is made with love.

The best indicator of this is the multitude of local workers coming by for lunch. The place is eclectic with a hodgepodge of many old curios for sale. They give you a pager to let you know when it's chow time. Bring the pager to the kitchen window where your hot food will be waiting for you. I ordered the catfish and gulf shrimp. EXCELLENT! I did not expect to find something like this in a small small town. We were on our way…read moreto college station and wanted to get something to eat as we got closer to our destination. We checked Yelp for something other than Mexican food and this place had really great reviews. As soon as we walked it we knew it was going to be good. The menu isn't too large, which to me meant that they have spent a lot of time perfecting the things that are on the menu. The service was really good and as soon as we sat down, we ordered a couple of sodas and the Boudin balls. We took a couple minutes to look at the menu and everything looked really good, but the spicy chicken sandwich was really calling out to both of us. So we ordered those one with potato salad and one with rice. The Boudin balls were delicious. They were pretty large in size and the sauce that it came with had a little bit of a kick to it. My favorite thing was that it was mostly meat on the inside and the flavor was incredible. Same with the chicken sandwich. It also had a kick and by the time I was done my mouth was pretty warm. I thought the potato salad was a great way to help cool it off, and it was just as good as the sandwich. I loved the batter on the chicken, and I thought the bun was toasted perfectly. This would be a place I would go to regularly if I lived in the area. Parking was pretty tight and most of the spots were taken up so we did park in a spot we weren't supposed to, but luckily we didn't get towed!

Whew! I'm a Mississippi native so Louisiana is like our great aunt and New Orleans is our first…read morecousin. I knew when we pulled up the food was going to be good. When I tell you the spirit of Louisiana and NOLA was in the place! So you will miss the place if you aren't paying attention. The sign is small and the building looks like it used to be a church fellowship hall. It's not fancy and it's small, however, don't discount it. Don't judge a book by its cover and great things come in small packages. It's a family owned and run business. By the looks of it, it can probably seat 40 people and I'm pushing it with the number. However from the time you walk in until the time you leave, you feel like you're at your great aunt's house. It was five of us and when you walk in, it's seat yourself and first come, first serve. The food came out piping hot and cooked fresh. My husband and brother-in-law got the catfish platter with red beans and rice (no pork) and Mac-n-cheese. My sister and I got the Nawlins boil that had a crab cluster, shrimp, corn, potato, boiled egg and a sausage link. My nephew got a shrimp po-boy with fries. The food was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The fish and fries were crispy. The Mac-n-cheese isn't creamy but it isn't dry. Perfect amount of cheese and flavor. The red beans and rice had the perfect balance of flavor. The boil...my goodness the boil. They have the amount of the boil down to a science to make it a full meal. At first glance, I didn't think it would be seasoned well because the season looked like a dry rub. It wasn't saucy or juicy - until I took my first bite. I almost walked to the kitchen to kiss the cook. They are not skimpy on any of the food either. Even the po-boy had an overload of shrimp. When we were there, it was a packed house. There was also a large party who was rather disgruntled - not because of the service or food but because they were impatient. Remember this is a family owned business with 2 servers and maybe 3 cooks that cook to order. So if you're looking for quick food, this isn't the place. If you have time to sit, enjoy some great food with great company in a casual home style restaurant...this is your place.
