Came here for the first time with family. We ordered the Enchilada Verde plate , Coronas, Enchiladas plate, the regular Enchilada plate, Chicken Quesadillas, Barbacoa plate, and the Tortilla Soup. Everything was flavorful and delicious. Some of the chicken looked dry, but it was very juicy and the sauce it was covered in made it extra flavorful. The complimentary tortilla chips were so crispy and fresh and the salsas were fresh and delicious. Overall, decently priced for the portions they give. I wish they had menudo soup, but it's only served on Saturdays. I was bummed that they didn't have the horchata drink here. The staff are fast and friendly. The parking lot is small and shared with other establishments. Not too much tables to dine and it can get busy pretty fast. read more

Breakfast menudo is delicious and they gave us huge bowl. I could not finish it. The service is fantastic and they offer homemade tortillas. The restaurant is extremely friendly environment and everyone knows each other. Plenty of parking. It stays busy especially on Sunday. Look forward to next visit. read more

I've been here twice and the food is great. The service is really slow. They don't pay attention to what's going on. Management train your servers to check on tables, follow up, etc. Easy five star on the food alone. The customer service needs a little bit of work. They aren't bad at all. Just a little training and they will be top notch. The fajita tacos are amazing. So were the carne guisada. Also the enchiladas were perfect. I really enjoyed their green sauce. They could bottle and sell it. Very good if not great green sauce. Again the food here is simply amazing. Great small family owned restaurant. I'll be back soon. read more

Couldn't find the Rockdale location. Had to review it here though. Excellent food and service even though the guacamole and salsa needed salt. I had chicken enchiladas verdes. My son had some kind of grilled chicken plate. Came with exceptional tortilla soup. read more

This would help more for out of town patrons who come to town for the weekend: The Pro's: Sat quickly and some regulars moved to help accommodate our group of 8. The food flavor was good. The cons: The food took a while. Then when food arrived, some food was incorrect. I ordered a Chorizo w/ egg plate and got Egg w/ chorizo. (Like fr a hint of chorizo). Restroom experience weird. A knife fell out of the back of the paper towel dispenser as I grabbed a paper towel & last but not least. There was a line of 4 (I was first in line) & regulars got prioritized when they cut in line to pay from the other side of the cashier booth. I didn't mind that much as i was still up next until I realized everything that was compounded over my time there got topped off when it came for me to pay. The cashier turned around, walked away, went back to the kitchen, a few minutes later came back up to the front giving another individual a to go bag in attempt to make up for their bad experience as well (which I over heard that they received incorrect food and now had to leave). Maybe this is nit picking, but because the other person paid before me caused another wait during this whole fiasco. Upon her return (because she allowed the regulars prior to pay first) she ran out of the last bit of receipt paper roll which had us wait an even longer time than needed. All in all, I gave it a 2 because the food flavor was good albeit, cold by the time we were able to pray together. Hope this helps someone when making a decision or the owner. read more

I rarely do this but I had to come on this app because we went in there asking for Alex 2 times last week and they said she was no longer there we thought it wasn't true ..I can't belive this ,she was just the best we didn't just go there for the food but the main reason was to see her. Alex was always smiling and had a lovely personality and I'm sure we are not the only people that think this way we just won't be back if alex is not back and I'm pretty sure our friends and other customers that love alex won't be back either We where there sunday and food and service was just horrible We want Alex back!! read more

Greeted warmly when I opened the door and was seated and received a drink, chips and salsa within 2 minutes. The salsa was spot on, delicious. This factor makes/breaks TexMex for me. Entree delivered quickly. This is exactly what I miss from home since I now live in the far north in Alaska read more

The actual food is great. The service however... not so good. I went to pick up a to go order. On Monday it came with chips and salsa and was great. Today, I asked for extra salsa and was told there is some salsa in the bag. I politely walked away and let the lack of customer service go. I checked the order and saw we had no chips. I went back in to ask for chips and was told "No, it's separate." I responded with we go them on Monday and she just said "no". I've eaten here several times and it's always great food, exceptional service at a good price. So many times a restaurant gets good reviews and then jacks their pricing up like some fancy-schmancy place. Not these folks. Come here for a wonderful meal, friendly staff, enjoyable time and a minor divot to your wallet. Great breakfast ! This is something I would typically make at home, and everything is literally under $6 can't beat that!

Went for a brunch date on Sunday. Arrived a little after 11am and was greeted and sat ourselves immediately. I have to say the flavor and food has been the best I have tasted in a long time. I can only think of one other Mexican food place in Dallas that would compete. We both ordered a Chicken plate it was all delicious! I had the EL Vquero chicken plate and asked for no jalapeños which they happily accommodated. From start to finish both salsas, chicken, rice, and beans all tasted amazing and were very flavorful! It's very hard to find a restaurant that puts attention to everything they serve down to the smallest detail. Today they get a 100% in my book!! I have to say too the green salsa and red salsa are very tasty and my favorite! I couldn't eat all my food because i couldn't stop eating it lol. I stopped by for lunch yesterday after seeing a post about this restaurant on Facebook. I ordered the Mexican Plate and it came with a cheese enchilada, a crispy beef taco and a beef chalupa. The food tasted okay but everything was room temperature. You can see from my photo that the cheese on top of the enchilada was not melted and the sauce was extra thick. The ground beef in the taco and on the chalupa was also not hot, but the flavor was good. Overall, I would rate the food as a 2 star but I'm giving them a 1 star because of terrible customer service. When I went to pay out,the cashier rang me up for $10 and some change. I thought that seemed high as I had ordered the lunch special and it came with a drink and was supposed to be around $7. I asked about the price and the she informed me that it was past 2PM so I won't get the lunch special price. I was irritated but paid my tab and walked out. As soon as started my vehicle, I see that the time is currently 2:11PM, so there is no way I ordered after 2PM, therefore I should've been charged the lunch special price. I know it's only a few bucks but it's the principle of the matter so I went back in and told her I should've been charged the lunch special price since I arrived and ordered well before 2PM. She starts looking at my ticket and called over the three other ladies that were there and they all start discussing it in Spanish and then tell me that they had given me the Mexican Plate off the menu, not the Mexican Plate off the lunch special card (which was on the table) and that it came with the taco and the lunch special one did not and since I had the taco, I have to pay the higher price (plus my tea would not be free). Are you freaking kidding me??? It's not my fault you have two different plates with the same dang name. I explained this to them and they reluctantly gave me my $4 back. Needless to say, because of this negative experience and the food being mediocre at best, I will not be going back. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants in town that are much better and that have friendly servers. read more

My first visit here and I am very impressed. Beef fajita fries (not on menu itself) are friggin amazing. My first test in a new restaurant is alwaya the salsa and green sauce both are amazing and hard to stop eating lol... second test is charro beans... again awesome. We found this restaurant through a friend. It is in a small shopping center and not being familiar with the area did not see it right off hand. When we entered they promptly and politely told us to sit anywhere we would like. Everything we ordered was amazing! The red sauce is to die for!
