Great authentic Mexican food. We had the gorditas and migas and both were very good. The salsa that goes with the chips is SO good! Their been and rice are also good I'm very picky about my beans and rice. The service was great and all employee were very friendly. The restaurant isn't very big and there were a lot of people waiting for tables when we left. This is a dive (nothing fancy, but great food) and very busy with conversation being at a moderate level. I'd recommend getting there early or just know that there will be a wait. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this place. read more

Very unassuming restaurant, but with amazing food! The service was outstanding! Myself and two of my coworkers were in town for business. This restaurant came highly recommended. It did not disappoint! One coworker had the beef enchiladas. She described them as some of the best she has ever had. The meat was perfectly seasoned and melted in your mouth. My second coworker has the beef torta. He enjoyed it the flavor and the bread was perfectly toasted. I had the Hermanos burger. It had bacon cheese and all the fixings. The burger patty was seasoned to perfection as well. One of the best burgers I've had in a very long time. Overall, I would recommend a visit. Service was well above average. Well, looks like Mi Pueblito has a new name! While the Hermanos Marquez Mexican Restaurant name appears new, I have read on Google reviews that the have the same great food. I am picky about my Mexican food. I am more accustomed to West Texas / New Mexico style Mexican Food. But, am not so much a fan of a lot of Tex-Mex restaurants around. So I thought I'd find out for myself if this place was as good as before. My family and I arrived on Friday night to a mostly small crowd. Our server was attentive and helpful. Our orders were taken quickly. I also wanted a good Mexican beer with my food. What, no Cervesa!!! This was the biggest disappointment of the night for me. I sure hope serve it in the future. The food came out lightning fast! Like less than 10 minutes nice and hot! The food was a little more traditional than a lot of the Tex-Mex in town. In my opinion, the best that I have found in the Brazos Valley. I love their Salsa as well. It has a delicious smokey tomato flavor. It is very unique. Everything was absolutely delicious. Definitely a hole in the wall but that's where you always find the best food. Small joint with a very heavy support from local community. Salsa are flavorful and spicy which I like but if you are sensitive to heat you might want to try a small sample first. We got a combination latter, flauta plate, and chicken quesadilla special. Combination platter was a bit on the smaller portion size but everything was tasty. Nothing to complain about really but I like a large combo plate. My oldest had the flauta plate and said they were pretty solid. Nothing exceptional but better than most. Best dish at the table was my wife's quesadilla special. First off, the amount of meat in the quesadilla is very generous. Served with sour cream and pico de gallo along beans and rice. Super nice plate. All in all a wonderful experience food wise and a great value. We need more places like this for sure. Try it out! You won't be disappointed. read more

Used to visit this place frequently when we lived in the area over six years ago. Came back and had to give it a try and it's still the same delish food I recall. Visited during the week for an early dinner and we were the second couple in the place. A few more started trickling in later so if you want to avoid crowds, this is the time to go. The hubs stuck with a variety of tacos and I went with their carne guisado plate with flour tortillas. Exactly as I remember it. We typically used to come for breakfast and get their breakfast plates or their tacos. Would definitely be coming back here again to make my way down their dinner menu. I like this place. The price is reasonable, food is tasty, people working there are friendly. Their lunch specials work for dinner time as well. I went on Monday dinner time, and I ordered the Monday special Chile Relleno Plate. For just $7.25 I was so full and I still got some leftovers to go. Their Chile Relleno is really good. I couldn't decide if I would like a ground beef one or cheese one so the lady served us said she'll make a combination of both. After trying both I would say my personal favorite is definitely cheese Chile Relleno, so tasty. I love their flour tortillas as well. I like the salsa and green salsa, but personally I'm not super into their queso though. Queso is a bit light and diluted. Overall I enjoyed my meals a lot! I wish I could order something just as single items, not as plate. But I didn't see those options on the menu, so I'm not sure if I can do it or not.
