Came here for the first time. I always see this little pink colored house looking restaurant and…read morethought it was a dessert place, buuut they sell some simple, but flavorful and delicious Mexican food. Their menu is very limited so don't get mad if they don't have everything you would find at a larger establishment. I ordered the ground beef quesadillas, pork with red sauce gorditas, and the pork with red sauce taco plates. It came with a drink so I got their Horchata and it was soooo sweet and delicious. The cup is massive (see pic). All the dishes came with delicious sauces and a super small side of veggies. The orange sauce is flavorful, but so soicy, at least for my wimpy a$$. The tacos came with refried beans and Mexican rice and everything was very tasty. I don't go to enough Mexican joints to compare places, but I did in fact, enjoy this place very much. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food and drinks we got. We will definitely be back. Staff are friendly and patient. This place can be easily missed especially it being in the middle of the busy and fast intersection of Villa Maria and E. Villa Maria. If you miss the driveway then you'll end up having to turn around and it's such a hassle especially with all the stupid construction going on there. Parking lot is super small, but they have a drive thru. The speakers don't work, but there is a sign that states to order at the window. I didn't go inside, but it looks like there are seating area for dine in.

For drinks, we got a refreshing watermelon drink and Horchata. Everything was super flavorful and amazing. The comp chips and salsa were delicious too. The chips were thick and crunchy and the salsa was so fresh. I looooove anything birria and this place hit the spot. The broth was so good too. The Carne Asada fries were surprising crazy good. It was packed with flavor and meats. Overall, decently priced for the quality of the food. This by far, is the best Mexican restaurant that we had so far since we moved here to TX from Hawaii. We will definitely be back to something else as their menu has a large selection of entrees. The staff were friendly and fast. Lots of tables to dine at. They also have bar seating. Located across the street from the HEB Villa Maria location. The parking lot is a bit small, but you should be fine.

I had a very disappointing experience here, not once but twice…read more The first time I visited, I specifically asked for no onion or cilantro on my tacos and requested it on the side. When I received my order, it was made incorrectly. I called and went back to let them know I couldn't eat the tacos as prepared. They did remake my order, but the attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional. About two weeks later, I decided to give them another chance, and unfortunately, it was even worse. The girl taking my order was disrespectful, smirking, and clearly had an attitude the entire time. When I received my food, the woman making it came up to me and told me that if I didn't check my food immediately and it was wrong, they would not remake it. As a paying customer, being spoken to that way is unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but the lack of basic customer service and respect is what really stood out. I won't be returning, and I don't recommend this place unless you're prepared to be treated poorly.
