Ordered the nachos and wife got the fajita mexicana plate. Nachos were piled high and was very tasty. Had fajita meat guacamole and sour cream and pico de gallo refried beans and cheese on them. The fajita mexicicana plate the wife said everything was good. Came with charro beans rice and homemade corn tortillas. The only negative thing is the chips were bag chips not in house made. Good service a little slow for the number of guest. Highly recommend! read more

I had the ribs in green sauce. The sauce / gravy was delicious but the ribs could've been more meaty, especially given the price. The beans and rice were also very good but the portions were tiny. Server was nice but it took too long to get the food and it took too long to get the check. read more

We waited an hour for our table of 10 to be seated (keep in mind this was a Friday on a game day weekend). Nonetheless, we were able to walk around Bryan until we received a text that our table was ready. Everyone enjoyed the chips and queso. The salsa was a bit bland, but still fine to eat. None of us had complaints for any of our dishes and cocktails. The service was attentive and friendly. We would definitely go back. read more

checked out casa monarca for the first time today for lunch! What a cute setup the restaurant has! The lunch menu is great- $12 for your entree plus drink is a really good deal these days. The chips are fluffy and enjoyable along with the salsa- the salsa isn't spicy at all but that's ok as i'm sure it caters to more people this way. I would enjoy it if there was a spicy salsa option too. The kids meal is a great deal at $5 for the cheese quesadilla. The service was pretty good- our lady was quick once we got her attention. We did have to remind her of things but it's ok, this place is new and i always extend grace to new places. Definitely recommend! read more

Best mini flautas ever! I worked with Oscar to secure a catering order for my husbands birthday. Everything was professional and a great price per person. We had a nacho and flauta bar, along with mixed fajita tacos. I would also recommend a gallon of the rocks margs (STRONG)! I would highly recommend them for any party or large order needs. read more

I'm from out of town. I was looking for a nice restaurant for dinner after long workday. This had already great reviews and it was amazing. My waitress was super sweet. She recommended the video Tacos and they were authentic super flavorful and the consomé was so good too. The margarita was delicious. Great location in Downtown Bryan. The starter chips and hot sauce are awesome and so fresh. Not sure what they do to their chips but they are not your normal Mexican restaurant chops. Obvi homemade! I went with a group of 7 and the food and service was on point! They are known for their birria. It did not disappoint. It is beef and very tasty. Quesadilla was awesome. We had both chicken and beef! Don't miss out on the churro cheesecake. I was skeptical, but very happy I was forced to try it. We enjoyed a delicious meal. The queso flameado along with a house margarita was a great way to start our dining experience. Gisela, our server was very friendly and efficient. The Asada de Puerco had a rich sauce and tender pork. The enmoanadas came out steaming hot with shredded chicken in a flakey crust. We arrived around 4pm on a Saturday & were seated promptly. The restaurant was quite busy, with patrons eating & chatting. We ordered our beverages & queso blanco, then we received chips & salsa as well. The chips were unbelievable! They were kinda puffy & warm, great crunch & they held the salsa & queso well. The salsa was amazing, delicious tomato & cilantro flavor with a hint of spice. The queso was fantastic, perfect consistency, had pieces of pepper inside, just outstanding. For entrees, my wife & I both ordered the enchiladas with queso & shredded chicken. You can tell these are authentically homemade; the chicken was definitely cooked & seasoned, shredded on site & the enchiladas were filling & delicious. They were covered in queso plus additional cheese on top, with rice/beans & pico as well. We remarked how good everything tasted & how satisfied we were. Our server was attentive but not overbearing, the food was beyond exceptional. Overall a tremendous dining experience not to be missed. read more

After a twenty minute wait for a table and an hour long wait for our food, we finally received the entree only for it to be incorrect not once but twice. After requesting to speak to the manager, he had the audacity to say that they couldn't do anything about an hour long wait for our food. I finally told them never mind, I no longer wanted the food. On top of the long waits, and incorrect order, our waitress was less than pleasant. I I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant! Excellent food but service was not good. We waited an hour to eat and they acted as though it was normal since the prioritized a larger party. My wife ordered vegetable quesadillas since they are extremely limited on vegetable options and she was treated by the waitress as though something was wrong with her for asking. She asked what vegetables they had for quesadillas since they didn't have spinach. The waitress stated "We don't have any vegetables, only zucchini". Last I checked that's a vegetable. Ordered queso to pair with the good chips. Cheesy enchiladas were delicious but the tinga chicken needs salt and seasoning. Tried both soups on the menu, don't think we finished either. Both soups needed salt/seasoning. The restaurant wasn't busy during the off hours, but we still had to flag down our waitress. Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. The birria was new to be and it was amazing. Try the tacos. You will not be disappointed. Their chips are homemade and hot sauce is perfect. My only suggestion is expanding the drink menu. Modelo Especiall is the number 1 beer in the country. Also you need better vodkas like Ketel One or Grey Goose. I loved this place and it's my new favorite. I will be back!! read more
